Ok, I’ve determined the problem to be that you are running PHP 4 .4.2 on your server. That version is over 5 years old and the theme will not work properly on it. You should upgrade to PHP 5 .3.

Thanks for the compliments! The demo site has a full list of shortcodes and all parameters, right now that’s the best source but I’m working on additional integration of shortcode features into the theme that should be available soon.

The “QuickSkin” is a system of PSD and CSS elements that allows you to change as few settings as possible to create a completely new look. For example with the PSD file you only need to change 2 background colors to create a complete set of images for a new skin.

Thanks for the purchase. You should not need to configure anything. By default it should show the standard settings and theme options without any configurations. I have only tested it on a couple of hosts, however I can offer the following advice that might help.

1. Try going through the steps in the quick start section of the help document. This outlines a basic setup process that may fix your issue.

2. Open the file “framework\utilities\email-functions.php” and change line 138 from:

$headers = 'From: '.$name.' <'.$email.'>' . \\"r\n\\";

To:

$headers = 'From: '.$name.' <'.$email.'>' . "\\r\n\\";

I had a report of a localhost issue which this change fixed. I’ve already prepared an update for this but it won’t be available for a day or two.

Hopefully one of those will fix the problem. If not, let me know.

OK, so I go into framework/utilities to open up the file and I see that only the folder captcha is there. I compared this to the original and I can see that I’m missing some files. So it looks like the whole utilities folder did not upload and unzip properly.

I tried copying over the files and replacing them, but getting an error on the dingdong font, that it’s in use and cannot be copied.

I’ll try one by one and see if that works.

For the home page I’ve created a layout with 2 columns. In the left column I assigned a static page, “Home Page – Left”, and the right, “Home Page – Right”. I have the following code in each of those pages:

Normally skins apply to the entire site. The theme demo takes advantage of a feature that allows you to set a single page or layout to a different skin. This is a nice feature because you could use it to color code areas of your website, for example a magazine site could assign a blue skin to the layout they use for the news area, purple for the entertainment, red for sports, etc…

Yes. You can set both heading and body fonts from the theme’s design settings.

I’ve done a LOT of testing and I’m fairly confident any kinks that may have existed have been worked out. The error you are seeing is because the image for the placeholders can’t be resized. There are several ways you can fix this.

Set the permissions on your “assets/images” folder to 755.

or

Turn off placeholder images: Theme Settings > Miscellaneous > Placeholder Images

or

Specify your own custom placeholder image: Theme Settings > Miscellaneous > Custom Placeholder Image

Any one of those 3 solutions should fix the problem.

Thanks. Glad to know it worked. I’ve also already added this change into the theme files and the download file will be updated soon so that others don’t experience the same problem.

The shortcode can be inserted in a post or page. I tend to use pages to show lists of posts because it’s easier to manage the content but there isn’t any restriction.

From the shortcode you list above I don’t see a problem with the information entered. I may need to log into your site to look over the settings and see if there is a reason the titles are not showing.

Looks like you found a typo in my shortcode document. Instead of title="true" it needed to be title="yes". I’ve updated the documentation and the demo site to reflect this information. You should be good to go now. Thanks again for purchasing the theme and best of luck with your new website.

It shouldn’t be a problem on the pages without the curve, like the dark blog page shown in your comment. The pages with a curve that fades into the page like the demo home page already have a background image used to create that effect so you would have more work to do to keep both effects, but still not a problem.

There are not any expand/collapse or tab features yet but I’m working on adding them in the next update.
