PremioThemes

Hello,

This works well for me with my test videos. Are you able to provide a link so I can have a look? Send a PM if you don’t want this to be public.

From one Bogdan to another, sadly with some Polish letters excludedThis World is a better place when things just work it goes for

MiniGO and its TEAM

as well as for Google Translate. Cheers BTW, I am using your template on bogdance.us ahead of coming BuddyPress Social Network site for Artists and I have another one, similar to yours and also from Themeforest, but more difficult to integrate with mailing list called Rubik at bogdan.com.au temping there ahead of an OpenCart shop selling Art and Craft. You are welcome to go and have a look at both and Subscribe on bogdance.us only for now. Na Razie, Bogdan

YouTube video does not autoplay on Safari when using a mac, how can this be fixed?

Default-user

Also there is no sound from YouTube when uploaded to webserver, however when viewed locally on computer there is….

PremioThemes

Hello,

I replied to your email about the first issue David.

About the volume: You need to set the Volume setting to something other than 0 (the default). Check the manual on how to do this.
Directly from the disk you hear the sound because the volume for YouTube is set via an API that won’t work without the HTTP protocol and an actual domain so you get the default YouTube volume instead of the one set in the MiniGO settings.

Hey mate,

I purchased this and I want to reduce the top padding and increase the width on the about page?

Cheers for the help!

PremioThemes

Hello,

The following CSS code drops the top padding to 10px on all screen sizes and sets the max-width of that page to 1000px for screens over 1400px in width. You can play around with it until you get what you need.

.site-page--from-left {
    padding-top: 10px;
}

@media only screen and (min-width: 1400px) {
    .site-page--from-left {
        max-width: 1000px;
    }
}

Cheers,
Bogdan

on the main the main page, there a method of gathering name along with email address on that form.

PremioThemes

Hello,

We are considering adding more optional fields in the next version but at the moment only the email field is available.

Hi,

First of all, for a reference of what I’m talking about see this link: http://caniuse.com/#search=video%20format

Firefox on OSX doesn’t support MP4 at all, so it then tries to play the WebM which on OSX depends on a codec (see the link above) which I’m guessing is broken by default because it doesn’t try to play the OGG video which is fully supported on FIrefox OSX.

You can test this by visiting the URLs of the videos directly. The browser won’t do anything for the MP4, then for the WebM the player controls will appear but nothing will play. However the OGG file will autoplay right away.
At least this is the case on my setup.

To fix this for now try reversing the order of the video files so the OGG has higher priority. So, in the settings, replace:

localFiles: {
    mp4: 'video/video.mp4',
    webm: 'video/video.webm',
    ogg: 'video/video.ogv',
},

With:

localFiles: {
    mp4: 'video/video.mp4',
    ogg: 'video/video.ogv',
    webm: 'video/video.webm',
},

It seems that the next version of Firefox will natively support WebM with no codecs so this will soon be history.

Cheers,
Bogdan

PremioThemes

Oh, one more thing.

Apart from the video everything on your site works fine for me in Firefox OSX. Perhaps the issue is somehow related? Try it out and let me know.

Bogdan

Hi, Just purchased. I would like to change the text “Who we are” to “About”, I would also like to change the font. How would I go about doing that. Thank you for your help!

PremioThemes

Hello,

Simply find the text in the file named index.html and edit it to suit your needs.

If you need to change the font find the following line in the same file:

<link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lato:100,300,400,700,900' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

Replace it with one from Google Fonts or whatever else you are using that loads the font you desire and then add the font to the custom.css file. For example, the following CSS would replace the default font with the “PT Sans” font:

html { font-family: "PT Sans", sans-serif; }

Hi, Awesome project! Just one small problem, when using the “index.html” there is a grey image that appears before the slideshow images start showing. Any way to remove this?

PremioThemes

Hi,

Can I see the URL please? Normally the loader shouldn’t go away before the first image is loaded.

Cheers,
Bogdan

Hi,

I just wanted to point something out in the new updated version concerning the background:

<figure class="bg-wrapper">
           <img src="images/bg/slideshow-1.jpg" alt="" />
           <img data-src="images/bg/slideshow-2.jpg" alt="" />
           <img data-src="images/bg/slideshow-3.jpg" alt="" />

The images don’t exist in /images/bg/ so the index displays a black background only. I have the old version so I managed to copy the code from there.

Cheers,
Gerard :)

PremioThemes

Hello,

Those images weren’t there in the previous versions either because we don’t have the license to redistribute them but thank you for spotting the HTML code though. I should have updated the code to use images that are actually in the package!

Is everything else ok with the update?

Cheers,
Bogdan

Hi. So I have some CSS and HTML knowledge. I’ve read the user guide for both versions. Is it okay to save a few dollars and use the HTML version with a WordPress site? Or will it not work?

PremioThemes

Hello,

It will only work if you use your .htaccess to redirect all traffic to the index.html of MiniGO while allowing your IP to view WordPress. It could also work if you use WordPress to redirect via a custom function or some sort of plugin but I don’t if such a thing exists out there.

Cheers,
Bogdan

Thank you! I’m sure I could do it. But I’m going to get the WordPress version. For some reason Envato or PayPal won’t accept my prepaid Visa. Worked fine when I bought games on Steam with it just today. Will contact Envato support.

Hi,

I’ve removed the loader because I think it’s unnecessary. Is there a way to speed up the time it takes for the information to populate the page? It’s taking a bit too long right now.

Thanks.

PremioThemes

Hi,

Well, that’s why the loader was there. The scripts need to load, as do the icon and main css file before everything looks peachy.

The assets aren’t large in any way but if network conditions aren’t perfect then you will get a bit of content flashing before it settles down.

You could try to remove the slideshow images from the HTML if you aren’t using them.

Cheers,
Bogdan

PremioThemes

Oh, one more thing you can do:

If you want to keep the animation of the page elements, add this code to your custom CSS:

.loader--loaded .nav-left,
.loader--loaded .nav-right,
.loader--loaded .nav-social,
.loader--loaded .site-wrapper {
    -webkit-transition-delay: 0;
    transition-delay: 0;
}

If you want to also disable that, just add the loader—loaded class to the body tag like so:

<body class="loader--loaded">

Cheers!

Is this video playing in the background of this version or images?

http://premiothemes.com/demos/minigo-html/demo-2.html

Where can I get the background video/images?

PremioThemes

Hello,

Those are images, using the Ken Burns effect.

The actual images used in the demo aren’t in the package because we don’t have the legal right to redistribute them. They have been purchased from Fotolia and if you wish to purchase them yourself you can send me a PM and I’ll reply with the product codes.

Cheers,
Bogdan

Hi there,

Lovely plugin. I’m reading the comments and saw that other people were having issues with their contact forms. I can’t get a success message. I use BlueHost as my hosting provider. Do you think it could be an issue with them?

PremioThemes

Hello,

Please PM me so I can send you an unreleased version to try.

Bogdan

Thank you!

In relation to the mailing list im having some trouble in making this work.

I have followed the instructions and seemed quite simple but when i press on get notified or the send a message part it is not working. The loop icon keeps going.

Am i supposed to change anything from the maillisthandler.php?

I have only played around with the config.php file

PremioThemes

Hello,

Are you using the latest version? It was only released about 2 hours ago and it fixes some form related issues.

Cheers,
Bogdan

Default-user

Hello,

I have downloaded it about a week ago so im not sure if its the latest version. I just figured it out. Its working perfectly actually when uploaded online but i was trying it locally and was not working locally.

So i guess problem is solved.

It was very simple and amazing! The mail chimp idea is awsome too !!

Thank you very much for your help!

PremioThemes

Hi,

The forms will never work locally as they need PHP and a working mail server.

I’m glad it’s all good and that you’re happy with it.

Regards,
Bogdan

Excuse me… Youtube video doesn’t play on Safari (version 6.1.1) when I using a MAC (version 10.7.5). Do you have good idea to how to play?

PremioThemes

Hi,

YouTube tends to favour Flash over HTML5 video when videos are embedded. Flash is probably blocked in your browser..

Cheers,
Bogdan

OK, I understand.

Thank you for reply.

Hi there, I may be the only person on here having trouble. I’m a developer and understand the process very well, I’m just not sure why this template not displaying for me. I followed the instructions precisely. 1. I used FileZilla to move all the content from the (1-HTML-Template). 2. I changed the chmode (file permissions) from 644 to 777 for this text file (mail-list_FJdfjfk4FGeWR). However, it keeps reverting back to 644. 3. I chose to use (demo-2.html), so I changed this file name to (index.html). Before I upload everything in the root folder, I wanted to work on the coming soon page first before I shoot it live. So, this is where it lives right now, but it’s not displaying anything? http://beplush.com/1dc/index.html

After this, I am not sure what to do. I would greatly appreciate your help please.

Hello Bogdan, Thank you for your help. I uploaded this on my server in a separate folder called ’’ldc’’. So it shouldn’t really be interfering with Joomla at all.

On the other hand; I just went ahead and dumped the files on my clients server. We were waiting for her DNS name servers to point to her hosting account. That is why I put it on my server first.

Anyways, it’s working now under her IP address at: (69.6.230.24) The hosting company said there were a lot of things he had to fix within the .htacess file. Alongside this, there is a gray screen that displays when you first go to the site. If you copy and paste the IP address on your browser, you will see. Do you know how to fix this?

PremioThemes

Hello,

I see no grey screen. Which browser are you seeing this in? I get the usual black loader screen and then the site…

Bogdan

Hi there, My apologies. As soon as I added my own photo, the gray screen disappeared. Thank you so much for your help.

Hello,

How do I achieve the background effect (transitioning colors) found in the “minimal” example? Have I missed it in the documentation?

Thanks!

PremioThemes

Hello,

You can look at demo-3.html for an example. It uses the Continuous Fade background transition with 6 images in the slideshow. Those images are included in the package.

Cheers,
Bogdan

Default-user

Silly me! Thanks! :)

It doesn’t seems to display that well in 240×320 Portrait (see http://res.ponsive.com/)

I am interested only in demo3 as it is, but without the countdown timer (but I would like to manually set the percetage for the bar for % completion), and also possibly with the contact or about me buttons. Is that possible?

PremioThemes

Hello,

The default width is the device width so it’s nice and readable but requires some scrolling…
If you want to change this try editing the viewport meta tag and set a different width:

<meta name="viewport" content="width=600, user-scalable=no, maximum-scale=1, initial-scale=1, minimum-scale=1" />

More info here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Mozilla/Mobile/Viewport_meta_tag

Now, to add a progress bar add the following code to custom.css:

.clock-progress--static {
    width: 100%;
    max-width: 507px;
    margin: 0 auto;
    height: 19px;
    border: 1px solid black;
    position: static;
    border-radius: 3px;
    padding: 2px;
}
.clock-progress--static:before {
    content: '';
    display: block;
    width: 50%;
    height: 100%;
    float: left;
    border-radius: 3px;
    background: black;
}

Replace width: 50% in the second CSS rule with the percentage you need.

Also, in index.html replace:

<div class="clock" data-labels="Days,Hours,Minutes,Seconds" />

with:

<div class="clock-progress--static" />

Cheers,
Bogdan
