Hi there! I love your minimal theme and your new one. I want to learn how to add the custom field so I can change the header on every page like you state on the theme forest preview page. I can follow instruction well so if you could just post snippets with a little instruction I would appreciate it. I really want to learn how to do this but don’t know where to start. Thank, Greg

Refer to the help PDF included but I believe the tagline custom field’s name is simply tagline (lower case) and the value would be what you want displayed, eg: Welcome to my site!

Hi! I love your theme and am very pleased with it.
I would like to have the comment box (i.e. to be able leave a comment) on my Pages that I am currently using the ‘default page’ template for. I would like it to appear at the bottom of the page.
In other words, similar to the ‘blog page’ template or the ‘posts’ template which comes with the comments form at the bottom, I would like the same for my static pages (that I currently use the default page template). Is this possible, and how can I do this?

Curt – I was in touch with you before – just wanted to let you know that I purchased this theme, and am extremely happy with it – I think you’ve done a brilliant job.

Hi, thanks for your theme. I have changed the main logo to a custom image, but I would like to adjust the padding above and below the logo. Where can I adjust the pixel padding height for above/below?

I would suggest downloading a plugin called FireBug. It will allow you to fake-edit the site without causing any harm, it will reveal what styles are being used and where to locate them.

Thank you, this plugin is great, it changes the site in real time but when I change then in reality in the style sheet .css no changes happen. any idea why this is occurring?
Are you making/saving the changes on your server or locally on your pc/mac?
Try cutting the entire stylesheet away (somewhere safe) and saving the file, if the site doesn’t drastically change you may have some server problems not letting the file save or it’s being cached, etc…

Thanks, i was able to get this to work, however, how do i go about removing the page names? I removed the tag line, but Home.. About. .etc. the names of my pages are still showing up very large? please help!
You would need to modify the php files and remove the_title() or hide via css .h2 { display:none} but that would affect all h2 tags. Thanks!

What is the hex color for the orange/brown words in your sample “online portfolio” or the links in the footer?
Where would I change the button color on the contact form? (My html is pretty weak. I can find and replace it, but not create it in any meaningful way).
How can I increase the font size on the css for the text on the About page underneath the main About header. When I do it on the page in wordpress, the spacing gets funky at the top of the page.
On that note, is there a way of removing the space between About header and the About text. My draft site is www.cswellconsulting.com

I’m having problems with the home promos. I’ve read your PDF and can’t seem to get them to appear. The option doesn’t come up when I go into the Reading > section either.

Hey Chris!
It doesn’t look as if you have a page set as the home page in settings > reading, be sure you have created a page using the Home template and then set it in the reading settings.
After that, there is a menu item that appears with this theme full of theme settings including an area to add/activate the promo areas.

Hello, I bought this beautiful theme a while back but hadn’t used it until recently. Now there have been a couple of updates. WHat is the easiest way to update my theme without having to start my site from scratch?

You could simply overwrite the theme files via FTP and all settings should remain intact. Switching themes may alter some database settings.
For the tagline – If you’re not comfortable with editing code, you could simply add the custom field of tagline with a value of none on all pages except home to hide it.
If you want to edit a bit of code, I would edit this in header.php line 43 from this:
to this:
<?php if(is_front_page()) { display_tagline($post?>ID); } ?>For even more widget control, I suggest the widget logic/context plugin.

Is it meant to be there?

UPDATE : nevermind. Got it to work. I think Themeforest changes the code when putting it up here.

Hi I seem to be having some issues with RSS feed on my site

I have tested in Google Reader and am about to try other services, but when I input the URL all I get is a feed for all the pingbacks to the site. Can you possibly advise. I’d appreciate it so much! Thanks.

Yes, that does work – however in all other cases in google reader I just type in the URL and the feed comes up.
when I check www.peacelovefree.com (which is the comments pingback rss) has two subscribers. www.peacelovefree.com/blog (also comments/pingback feed) has 18 subscribers. www.peacelovefree.com/feed has no subscribers.
I can guess that people have tried to subscribe the way you normally would in a reader – by entering url – but in doing so they cannot get the feed.
How can I make it simple and clear so users can subscribe properly without needing to know they must add /feed?

Try it on my live demo, I know a while back there was a small update to the feed function but most of it is controlled outside the theme, by the WordPress core itself. Thanks!

(copy exactly as-is, including the ending semi-colon ; )
