+5 moreNice work bro, definitely going to be a hot seller!
Hey Jonathan,
GREAT SITE !!! 2 (maybe silly) Questions…
1) Can you still have a blog page in this site?
2) I noticed you inserted vimeo videos… can we use YouTube, or even our own mp4/flv files?
Hi and thanks for the questions – the site does not have a blog page – it’s purely meant as an information site to showcase your work / about / flickr / twitter / galleries / contact etc – however you can make extra pages using any of the included templates.
You should be able to insert anything that supplies an embed code for you to add to your site – just like youtube / vimeo etc without any issues.
Great job Jonathan! Thanks so much.
very nice theme – i think is one of best here. 3 questions:
1- can this theme be localize ? 2- can i have few of the portfolio like portfolio 1, portfolio 2, portfolio 3 etc… 3- this theme support sub pages or categories ?
thanks very nice and clean job! hope more like these will come…
Hi – thanks for the questions and nice comments – here we go with the answers:
1 – yes, you type the page titles, descriptions and content – you can use any specific local language you wish. 2 – yes you can have multiple portfolio pages with multiple sub galleries. 3 – The menu system does not support drop downs on this theme and therefore you couldn’t really create sub categories pages – remember this is meant to be a simple elegant solution to a portfolio (photographer mainly) site – therefore I did not want to get too complex with blogs and categories etc – my next theme however has all the abilities – but not this style
This has to be one of the BEST photographer themes I have seen to date. Great work!
Is there a way to change the copyright notice to reflect the artist’s name?
Thanks!
Thankfully it’s dynamic so it takes the name (currently TWS for me) from the blog name in wordpress
Thank you! Just bought it. Great stuff!
Please can you add a blog. I’ll buy it in a flash!!
possibly in the future but really this theme is not meant to have a blog – just purely more of a portfolio site – CMS like. I may look in to it however in the future.

+3 moreJust a note – I am currently adding support for a blog section as requested – this will enable you to create a new category for a blog (will appear on menu system at top and bottom) and then create posts etc – just like a normal blog – this will not change the style of the theme at all – no changes to the rest of the site – once complete files will be updated and easy replacement instructions supplied for those who already purchased
Hey Jonathan,
Awesome work. Looking forward to the blog addition.
Just an FYI , and maybe it’s something on my end, but when I installed the theme on my dev subdirectory http://www.cvphotocasino.com/dev/ I noticed the home page doesn’t have the background color set to black, giving me a white background.
Seems like all I need to do is edit styles.css and add black for background, but wanted to alert you if it’s not something on my end that’s causing the weirdness.
FYI , all the “inner” pages are working fine.
Cheers and keep up the great work (and photography!)
Rick
Hi – you just need to set the css style from the admin panel (general setting:Theme Stylesheet) to start the css style sheet. That’s all that is needed – but thanks for the comment and feedback – most appreciated and happy you like it – if you have any other issues feel free to contact me via the contact form on my profile page and I will always try and help!
As for the photos – not mine
– they are all credited in the help file in the html folder – kudos to all those guys and gals – they are from the creative commons collections at Flickr.com.
thanks! just need to read the manual a bit further…
Hey Jonathan,
In the MB3 Customize Section, the Front Page Album Links Center and Right suggest to upload a Slider sized image instead of the smaller size (“Upload a 298px x 129px image that will show as the left gallery link on the front page.”)
Cheers
haha oops – yes the text for the center and right are incorrect – first one is correct – thanks for the heads up – however I do provide quick edit photoshop files for those sections to make it easy to create your own – but you are 100% correct – I will get that fixed for the update – thanks for reporting!
Nice work! How long did it take you to code from HTML to Wordpress?
I worked with a seasoned wordpress developer who I will be using for all my wordpress templates moving forward – thanks!
That’s great – nice work, again

+2 moreNice Job Jonathan
thanks again guys for your comments!
I am having a hard time installing the theme for some reason. I uploaded the theme folder mb3_dark to the “contents/themes” folder. Tried it two ways, first directly through wordpress (uploaded as a .zip file) and then through FTP using CyberDuck.
I made the mistake of trying to activate it before doing the next two steps in the instructions, then went back and tried to figure out what I had to do but don’t completely follow. I found the ‘cache’ folder but couldn’t figure out how to change the CHMOD permissions to 777. This is probably because I have no idea what that is! lol.
However, in cyberduck and through the ftp tool via my hosting account I noticed the option to change permissions. I just don’t know how to go about it and which actually means ‘777’.
I think I got the next part done ok. I uploaded the htacccess file to the main directory and changed its name by adding the dot, so now it appears ’.htaccess’.
Still not sure about the permissions thing with the cache. I’ve added some links to screenshots I took while working in CyberDuck so you could see the error I got while trying to change permissions.
This is the main view of my FTP tool, CyberDuck. I have the cache folder inside the mb3_dark folder highlighted. http://i973.photobucket.com/albums/ae220/acesapparel/cyberduckview.jpg
When I right click it, I click ‘info’ and it gives me the option to look at or edit permissions. As a default, it said ‘755’. I tried to change it to 777 and this is the error I got. http://i973.photobucket.com/albums/ae220/acesapparel/cyberduckfailure.jpg
Finally, just to be sure I did it right – I’ve included a snapshot of where and how I changed the .htaccess file name. http://i973.photobucket.com/albums/ae220/acesapparel/htaccess.jpg
Any suggestions or ideas on what I’ve done wrong so far – please let me know. I’m sure i’m somehow messing up the whole cache thing.
BTW just to let you know, the theme will say “successfully installed” but will not for some reason activate. I only get a blank white screen.
Hi – looks like you may have a few things going on here on your install – would be best for you to contact me directly via the contact form on my portfolio page and I can attempt to assist you – it will probably be best if I can get some more details from you – but the changing of permissions on the screenshot shows you are attempting to change permissions on a directory that does not exist – see the error message. It’s really simple to install so I think it’s just a slight error or something – it may be best to delete what you have done and start a fresh going through the few steps outlined in the help PDF file – but contact me and lets see if we can work together to get things working for you
cool thanks I’ll do that now and i’ll go ahead and delete whatever is there now just to have a clean slate.
so you’re NOT able to create children pages?
This theme is awesome! I just need to be able to create sub pages
sub pages (child pages) for galleries yes – but not for about page – contact etc – however there is a blog update coming in the next few days to allow you to include a blog as requested by other buyers
