I need to change all the subpage content areas to have a light background (just the page text areas, not the site background)
What CSS can I edit to change all sub page content backgrounds (and still leave the homepage dark!)

Hi – I recommend you fire up firefox and get firebug installed then select the element you want to alter and you can see and change it’s css on-the-fly – see the changes live, test to make sure everything is good etc then alter the same lines in css – that’s the easiest way to change any websites css for sure.

Going to your website I see you do not have the home page set, menus created all this is in the very detailed PDF documentation you received in your download, also in the supporting multiple videos also linked to in your documentation, the XML import supplied also creates a page of support videos for you and the live demo has the videos also…. Looks very much like you just need to follow the instructions as this theme takes about 10 mins to setup from start to finish.
And repeating your request for help in the comments section 5 minutes between each other will not get a faster response unfortunately – as I mentioned please use the contact form on my profile page -

Purchased the theme and love it. Has been working ok but the sliders on the home page have disappeared for no reason.
Secondly how do I change the colour of text I add, is showing as a green colour on the black.

Hi – please use the form on my profile page for support and supply a link to your wordpress install plus login details etc – we don’t have any green in any css file so I think that may be some alterations you have made – as for sliders, they should work without issue – no one has had any since launch so not really sure – but if you pass your details thru on the form on my profile page we can take a look for you.

Hi – the areas for headings in the footer are graphics so you would have to alter the template to get the dynamic widget area titles as they are stripped, or alter the image files to change their name. As for the twitter feed – it’s hardcoded into the admin and the theme so you would have to roll up your sleeves and dig into the template file to alter to become a widget area.
Is it possible to speed up the rotation on the slider?
yes – just edit the home page header file you will see the JS code for easy slider – simply change the speed / pause setting – currently speed is set at 500 and pause at 5000 – alter those numbers to your specific desired amount

Hey Jonathan, About to purchase the site but I have 2 questions.
1. Can the slider at the beginning be a video of a different dimension. (EX: Vimeo, Youtube link)
2. Can the “Portfolio” items link to a template page instead of the light-box effect easily?
Hi Sen,
Unfortunately no to both questions, the slider can not handle the videos. The problem is this particular slider would never know when the video was finished in order to switch to the next slide. The template was designed specifically for using the built in gallery instead of a more robust one such as what your asking for.
However, saying that – I have many other WP themes that do exactly what your asking for on the portfolio side – such as Oceanic, Life, Qop – any of those have the portfolio section that allows for any url to be entered there as well as open that url up in the light box.
The slider that you are needing however, can be done if you get a slider that doesn’t do automatic play – but unfortunately I don’t have any themes like that.

One quick question – on the homepage, at the very top, there seems to be a 28px high grey section. This section also exists on all other pages, but is black and not grey on those pages.
How can I get rid of this 28px high section?? I have searched through the CSS files, even gone as far to change the BODY tage to have margin-top set to 0px, but this does not work…

Hi – it sounds like you mean the wordpress admin bar which will appear on the front end if you are signed in as the admin (introduced with wordpress 3+)- is this possibly correct? If so that’s a wordpress thing – otherwise please supply a link to your website as this does not exist in the supplied theme so it may be something with regard to alterations you may of made or something from a plugin you have installed extra – really not sure without being able to see the issue.

It turns out that the bar in question is only visible when I am logged into the admin console… although it does not show the WP admin links etc.
This is not a problem for me, just thought I would feedback what I have discovered.

Sorry to be a pest, but in the HTML versions of the pages, along the top next to the header (to the right) is some description text.
Does the WP theme have this option avaiable? If so, where would I input this text in WP?

Hi – we actually show how to create this in your documentation and the videos – please check there as it will be quicker than me typing it all out again
If you don’t see the box provided or need to make the meta box (create new as explained in documentation) then simply click “Screen Options” at the top of your screen in wordpress admin when creating / editing your page and ensure everything is checked – wordpress auto hides some things since WP 3 +

I have just intalled MB3 dark with wordpress 3.2.1 and I have followed step by step yours instructions .pdf but in finaly none menu appear correctly and I don’t know how mean use to erase the problem ?

Hi – it seems you did not read the included extra wordpress 3 menus how to setup document you received in your download – please note the theme came out originally before wordpress had it’s own menu abilities and therefore it was updated and an extra file was included in your download.

Love the theme!
When I went to edit the home page slider images, the psd file that was included was an image of MB3 – light, see screenshots link. It was not like the images that have the black left border with photography. evolved. I really like that style of slider, can I get the older (if that is what it is) psd file so that I may edit in my photos with that layout/style? Couldn’t find it in the MB3 folder.

Hi – actually the old version was the original type of slider (version 2 was a lot different and cleaner based on feedback) – I believe I may still have that slider as a PSD somewhere – please contact me via my profile page and I will send to you – thanks Jashua

Over and above the website, I have also added a blog. On the blog page, I have set the article number to 5 so that only the last 5 appear.
The issue I seem to have with the layout of the blog page is that it displays the entire blog post… All I want displayed is a few lines from the blog post with no images….
Could you explain to me how I would go about making this change.

Hi SQL and thanks for your purchase.
The entire blog article displays because you haven’t set where the “more” tag should go.
In the html editor you would click the button that says “more” to insert a line break and all of the content up to that point will be displayed on your blog page. If you are in the visual editor it is the icon right after the “unlink” icon.

I purchased this template. Disappointed that we could not get the slideshow to work properly… it goes into an endless “saving…” status.
No images are are uploading. I check all permissions in themes folder set to 777. What are we doing wrong?

In the video of the front page slider process we see the original photoshop file “SLIDER”, no problem, but in the zip file, it’s an other version named “MB3 light”, not really the same, so is it possible to have the original version of the MB3 Dark photoshop file “SLIDER” please ?

Hi – that is from version 1 – no need for us to make a new video as it was just a design change – the one you receive is actually the one being used on the live preview and is the correct file (it simply advertises another file of ours – plus some other stuff) – it’s exactly the right one

you would go to your downloads tab from your profile page / dashboard and re download and re-setup everything – if you are not having issues with anything and you don’t want the hassle you do not have to upgrade – the choice is yours completely.
