Purchased your HTML theme a while back and wanted to change it over to WP, so excited to see that you have a WP theme. My question before purchasing is about the home page. It doesn’t look the same as your HTML theme. Here is the site I used it on:
www.jjsbarbershop.com
Can you tell me if there is a way to make the home page look like the original HTML home page design-wise.
Thanks!
Hi, if your referring to not having the background behind the slider – that’s just an option to choose from the admin panel – but yes, the theme functions the same.
There is full documentation with the theme to work through the admin panel for setting up.
Hope this helps!
Well on the link for the demo to the wp site it is different than the bg and the menu and the general look of the site looks different than the original site.
Hi – we swapped the current theme to the original so you can now take a look – we have several different looks for you to use that come included – the original being one of them – go take a look now.
As for the menu being different – yes it has to be because of wordpress and drop downs etc – but the styling is coherent throughout the theme.
Hope that helps

Hi,
I am having problems with the sliders. I have used the template and followed the video cast you provided however when i try to load them into the theme they don’t appear.
Any idea on what the problem might be and possible fixes?
Greetings – not that I know of, no other reported issues – I would back track over anything you have done such as extra plugins deactivated – alterations to the theme files or functions or even css – try removing all slides and adding again?
Jonathan
many jquery plugins that i am trying to use are not working? Is there a reason this could be? thanks
You will have to contact the wordpress plugin authors – they may not be compatible with other plugins you have installed or your version of wordpress etc – sorry
Jonathan
thanks for the quick response! The footer was missing
hope this helps
the footer call is in the download files correctly – not sure how your copy didn’t have that in….
But thanks for coming back and letting me know

Hi, the permalinks on my WP package seem to not be present in any of the pages, I have pasted to exact code in the permalinks WP tab, anywhere you’d advise to take a look at? thanks
-Daniel G.
Hi – not sure I fully understand your issue? Permalinks setting is for the way Wordpress names sections of your site in the browser bar – if you set them there it should be that in your browser address bar?
Jonathan
Thinking of purchasing the WP ver of this site as I already have the HTML ver. Are there any plans to make it responsive? Thanks.
Not on this item I’m afraid as it’s one of my earlier ones and to go back and “retro-fit” for responsive wouldn’t really be cost effective unfortunately.
Thanks for your original purchase.
Jonathan
Hey again Jonathan,
I just wanted to check with you what version of Cleaner Gallery I should be using. It’s been a while since I checked for an update here and I am using version 0.7.
Also, I’m on version 2.0 for MB3 Dark. Is there a need to update or am I using the most current version? DO I need to update for the WP3 menus to be active.
Thanks! Lee
Hi – the latest version of the theme utilizes wordpress 3 menus but obviously your install of wordpress must be 3+ if not upgrade wordpress – as for the cleaner gallery, I believe they changed a lot of functions and as such we state to just use the one we provide in your download as it works just fine – no need to upgrade.
many thanks
Jonathan
Hello, I purchased this theme a few months ago and I love it! My question is, is there an easy way to replace the “Album Links” on the home page with The latest (or any) portfolio pages?
Thanks!
Hi and thanks for the purchase – the way the front page is dynamic unless you want to edit the home page php file and alter loops etc there isn’t sorry.
Jonathan
Initial disappointment; the theme’s promo shot seemed to suggest mobile/responsive formatting. Tested the demo on iPhone, it is not. So, in that case, why no footer w/ widget support?
Thanks
The promo shot actually only shows the iPad and if you look at the live preview on the iPad, it looks exactly as the demo version shows. We do n’t actually state anywhere in the item description that this theme is responsive.
I’m not sure what you mean by no footer with widgets, as we have a footer on the live preview with 3 columns in the widget area?
Thanks
Yeah, like I said, thought the implication in the promo shot was that the theme was responsive, since using an iPad to frame it with a smaller blurred tablet behind it didn’t seem relevant otherwise. Also, did not realize the very large area in the lower half was a footer. Thanks!
Hy.
This also work for latest version of Mozilla?
Thank you
Yes, the theme will work on all the latest versions of the browsers listed on the item description page.
Thanks
.sf-shadow ul is declared in: /mb3_dark/style.css and /mb3_dark/inner.css
Both declare a background of shadow.png which doesn’t exist anywhere.
I have removed the background declaration, but if you have it would you please provide the image? Thank you.
Hi we decided to remove it as it didn’t look right – guess we just missed removing the css call that’s all. Thanks for the heads-up – now with css3 you could simply add shadow using box-shadow declaration rather than use an image if you really would like it.

Hi. I’ve been using your theme for a while and love it. Thanks. I just noticed that the twitter feed is no longer showing on the home page. How can I fix this? Thanks.
Please check out the item description where the updates are for the theme, you will see we had put an update in a little while ago to fix this. Twitter has changed it’s API and therefore we had to update our themes.
Thanks
Thanks. I’ve done a bunch of customization of theme and don’t want to risk loosing any of this. Can you advise on the best way updating the theme?
I just read the FAQ. Is this the same procedure to use for updating to the most recent version?
Hi – it really depends which version of the theme you are running – as the faq’s state those directions are for the update in March 2010 – if you bought after that date then you already have that version.
The last update was simply an alteration to the twitter script which is only present in the bottom of this file – template_homepage.php – where you will see the commented twitter area, just copy / paste that to your file. Nice and easy
Many thanks
Worked. Thank you!
When is a Responsive version of this theme coming? You’ve sold this one hundreds of times, I would bet that most of us would pay for an upgrade to get a Responsive version…
Thank you for the interest, we will definitely consider this for an update.
Thanks
I doubt we will be retro fitting this as responsive sorry – we may bring out an all new dark design at some point however, but not every site needs to be responsive, in fact some studies show that even smart phone users prefer a full site to view, especially with the retina screens and larger screens on devices these days, but I do thank you for the comment – we note all suggestions.
Just a note, there is nothing in place for paying for upgrades etc at ThemeForest (we update our themes for compatibility etc for free – we just don’t have any plans currently for this being responsive).
Jonathan
The evidence shows that users want fully functioning sites rather than crippled mobile versions, but that’s what responsive themes provide.
I would pay full price for an “all new dark design” if it was responsive. I totally understand the time and effort required to rebuild it and don’t expect that to be included as a free upgrade.
In fact the effort for me to roll out the upgraded versions of the existing theme isn’t worth it and I’m several versions out of date with this one… But I would put that effort into it for a responsive version. In fact I plan to do so soon and would rather keep the look and feel I have now. I really hope this is on your radar, but I’m afraid I’m running out of time to wait for it.
Thanks again for the feedback, I really do appreciate it and I understand your urgency – right now we are working on 3 new products (non are the all new dark design) but I can assure you we will be cooking something up – it just may not be within your timeframe by the sounds of it which is disappointing for sure as it’s always great to hear people are still using older designs, sometimes you just hit the nail on the head and people love it.
Thanks again, your input is invaluable!
Jonathan
What I would like to do is add a Gallery on the parent Portfolio page that includes one “Main” image from each of the child galleries. There doesn’t appear to be a way to do that.
I’ve had to upload seperate images to my media page then add, to each, a (custom) link to their respective galleries. Is there already a native way to do this?
Thanks,
You could easily do this by using a full width page, add images inline as content and link to each appropriate gallery – it’s the same as your original idea but just not dynamic on it’s creation.
Many Thanks
Jonathan
Hi, is this theme responsive?
Thanks!
No it’s not.
Was going to purchase today, but had a question. Just curious, if the theme is not responsive, why is it such a high price? Your HTML page of this theme says the WP ver is $30, but on here it is $40. You might want to change that.
Hi authors do not set prices the marketplace does and that was the old price from a few years ago before the marketplace increased prices last year – thanks
Ahhh… gotcha!
Am going to be transitioning to a whole new site and diving into WordPress for the first time but wanted to put up a link for the site I had for years with Dark 3. Lovely design and served my needs perfectly! Thanks for the awesome design and even better support!
www.lightriderimages.com
Greetings and first many thanks for popping in on the WordPress version to let people know how the html has served you well over the years – awesome news and thanks again!
jonathan
I rarely comment here but thought I will do. This is one of the worst templates to use. You can see that the author is not a developer with no attention to detail. This template – from the developers point of view is very inflexible and difficult to customize. I thought I will share it so people can make an informed choice.
Hi – sorry to hear that you are disappointed. It’s a little strange as no other buyers have ever remarked like this – maybe this is because this was one of the very first themes we created and is therefore built-in options are not as extensive as our more recent themes?
However I will state you haven’t asked for any help or direction or reported any issues so it seems a little unfair to attack without giving us the opportunity to help
If you wish to gain support you are more than welcome to open a ticket with us for any issues you may have:
