in wordpress you can add video to any post – you just put the embed code in the html supplied from vimeo / youtube etc – so yes – just like my screencasts page

The portfolio pages run on prettyphoto – which does support video in popup – however you will have to visit that authors site (link supplied in the documentation) on how to create the effect you want – I have seen other buyers do this. However to have the same player and load your own videos (flv is flash video – fla is the development file for flash and plays in nothing, it is the file you open and create within the flash application for development – FLV is a flash format video that can play in flash players or even media players such as VLC etc) – you will require a xml driven video player (checkout ActiveDen for those flash video players) – pretty photo can open them up etc but the player and xml etc will be dependent on your purchase and situation.

Sorry I can’t help much more, because you are looking really for a custom solution – no premade wordpress template that I know of has an integrated video player as such – it’s always either a plugin or addition – it’s MUCH simpler to just embed codes from vimeo etc where you can customize your players appearance also – you can link any of those thumb images to html, video, flash, another image etc – everything is possible, just how much you want to do yourself or pay someone else to create.

Also it’s very wise to use a service such as vimeo and youtube because it streams from their servers, not yours and they are configured and have the power to stream much better than a regular hosting company.

I’ve made the blog page like you’ve said and added the splash_right but every new blog news puts it’s name on top of the splash even if there’s no indication to do that (at least that I see).

Also…and this is another question…I’ve seen in your live example that in your blog page you have…search, tags and a recent posts column…I guess this uses plugins but…which ones? where are instructions for that? I’ve bought the theme yesterday so …I must have the final version.

You can call it what you want – create a new page, call it whatever, default template, choose main page (no parent) and just set it as your blog front page as per the directions – hope that helps!

Just like you normally would? Set the order number of your pages in admin.

Not without replacing my lavalamp based navigation – that doesn’t support drop downs – but others users just changed it to something else similar to superfish and have drop downs – your choice of course.

I suggest you start again and follow the very detailed instructions provided in the extensive pdf documentation and the supplemental video tutorials that explain everything you need to do to get things up and running – which should take about 10 minutes max from downloading the files.

I do not see your purchased ribbon.

I can’t help you change the permissions on a folder on your server – just google or contact your host to help – all good ftp programs allow chmod permissions – it’s a very simple thing to do.

If you can’t do it via ftp program or cpanel etc then contact your host and ask them to do it for you.

Hi – you just need to paste the embed code supplied by youtube, vimeo etc etc in to your blog post – use the html editor – obviously the visual editor will not allow you to paste html code in

Yeah it’s actually in the documentation and the videos – you place it in the splash right section when creating a page – see page 11 the section named “Adding your text at the top of the internal pages” or check out the direct video link also supplied in that section in your installation manual – it’s basically in the “Custom Fields” section when creating or editing a page
