Hello,

You can change the background to what ever image you like – you would need to create the image at the size you need and then update the CSS . you would be looking at updating the body#home (line 1 of which ever color css file you’ve chosen from the admin) and the body (line 6 of which ever color css file you’ve chosen from the admin).
Hope this helps.
Thanks
Jonathan
Thank you for another wonderful theme, Jonathan. I enjoy the ease and simplicity your themes offer.
Cheers,

Jonathan, How hard would it be to radius the corners of the slider and the place holder boxes below the image just to soften up a little?
How do I elminate the twitter and rss feed on the main page. What i need is the three boxes (eliminate the extra space) and go straight to the footers.
Please help.
Thanks…worked like a charm!
Hi, I am having some trouble with my WP feed… the feed that is showing after installing the theme is apparently a partial feed… is this related to your theme any how and if it is, how can I solve it.
Hi it depends on how you have your RSS feed setup via WP admin – not real sure what you mean by a partial feed… is it that your RSS feed possibly stops at the readmore button? Unfortunately I’m not much help as I just leave my installs on my sites as standard as RSS – you could try googling to see if that helps (it’s all I could do) – but we don’t have anything particular in the theme.
hey there,
whats the easiest way to disable the slideshow, so it is just a fixed image on the front page.
Hi – not really sure as obviously it’s a slider in the theme – did you try just having one image to see what happens? That may do it – otherwise if it’s not an image you are going to swap out you could rip out the slider part and hard code an image… just a thought – other than that you would want to set a featured image using a special post type but that would require some fairly hefty modification.
Hi there,
When using the sidebar template for pages, what is the easiest way to manipulate the code so that the sidebar appears on the left as opposed to the right.
thanks
mmm… really not sure without really getting my hands dirty to be honest – you can try using firebug in firefox to float your sidebar to the left and see what happens – using firebug will enable you to change things in the browser re styling without permanently altering things – then copy what you have done to the actual css file in question.
Hey I’m looking at buying this theme and have a couple of questions.
1. Can the slider be made to show on every page easily? 2. Can a block of color be added behind the the navigation so when it is clicked there is a a box around the the word you click on? Is this easy to accomplish? I have some experiences with css.
These are clients requests.
Thanks in advance.
Hi Jonathan
Love the theme! Is there any possibility the slider images can be slowed down or paused? We are putting quite a bit of text in each one and could do with a few more seconds to read
Thanks
Roger
Hello again,
I have a few questions I was hoping you could answer…
1. Is it possible to alter the height of the front page slider (on this template and the wordpress 4) to increase the height?
2. Also, is it possible to alter the code to include more than 5 images on the front page slider? if not with this, is it possible to insert a different slideshow widget in its place in the code somewhere?
3. Lastly, is it possible to put my own background (a gray gradient from light at the top of the page to darker at the bottom of the page).
I appreciate your help again.
Alison
Hi – thanks for the questions – everything is possible, however it depends on your skill levels – what you are wanting to customize is basically everything on the homepage and therefore I would not recommend trying to do those alterations to the templates and admin areas without full working knowledge in creating / editing wordpress themes.
Jonathan
Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for all the advice so far. I did purchase this theme and was successful at editing the index.html, main.css, and easy slider files. I have the page looking like I want it. However, I already uploaded the theme to wordpress and I was curious how I could go about replacing the current default home page with the version that I edited. I tried changing the .html extension to .php and saving it into the wp-content/theme folder, but the page doesn’t show up on my theme options page. Is there another file that I have to update and upload?
Thanks,
Alison
Hi Alison – not sure what you mean by changing the html to php – you should only be using the wordpress theme files – not the included free html – that’s just a bonus – just altering the html to php will not work in wordpress I am afraid – you need to use the theme and it’s options by following the documentation in the download – if you require further assistance please use the support form on my profile page so we can better serve you.
Many thanks
Jonathan
Hello again Jonathan
I’ve got a couple of areas I’m sticking on:
1. The short code video is marked private so I can’t view – I’m not able to get the columns working just by placing the shortcode before and after the text.
2. On my Edit Pages section in WP back office I’m not seeing the Fields to add or change the additional text in the “splash” section
3. Is it possible to add more slides to the front page?
Sorry to bug you with my bugs!!
Roger
PS I ’ve also found examples in my downloaded files of the front page triple button section with “floating” click here” instructions when you hover over each tab – where can I find instructions for installing these?
I’ll stop asking questions now!
Hi – the shortcode video should be viewable but I will check on that for you.
The shortcodes should work as described – if they don’t it may be an extra plugin you have installed that doesn’t follow the proper practices laid out by wordpress – try disabling any extra and see – otherwise check you have them correctly formatted for closing the tag with the forward slash after the opening bracket.
To increase the number of slides would take customization of the php code in the theme I’m afraid.
To swap out images – use firebug in firefox to see the current locations of images used for rollovers etc – then simply replace in your theme images with ones you create – again as this is customization I can’t really walk you through this bit as it’s subjective to your own abilities to edit code and images etc sorry.
Hope that helps you out – will take a look at permissions on the video right now for you -
Also for further assistance please use the form on my profile page as directed in your instruction manual – it proves easier for everyone and we don’t have restrictions to code etc these discussion areas have.
Many thanks

Hello- I’m interested in this them but I have a few questions. Does the portfolio section allow flash in the lightboxes that come up? I’m a developer and I need to be able to showcase my work. My other question has been answered by reading the comments and was “does the developer offer support of this theme” and it seem it is.
Hi Jonathan,
I like your templates. Before buying, could I ask you the following:
I need a WP template with filterable image galleries and a multi-upload possibilty (I have multiple categories and quite a lot of images). As far as I can see, exactly what your MB3 -dark is offering. I can see, the upload for MB3 -light is similar, but I can’t see any filterable categories. Is that correct? Would it be implementable?
thanks!
I am hoping you are still offering support on this theme. I was hoping to use my own contact form (as I need additional information than what you provided). I like to use JotForms and just insert the code.
Problem is, I would like to keep the settings for the sidebar that are custom to the “contact page”. I tried eliminating the code in the page-contact.php , but the contact form is still there.
Can you please tell me what I need to eliminate to simply add my own form in there.
Thanks
I see – just open up page-contact.php and remove from where the form starts down to (and including) the div id=”contactmessage”
the php underneath the original form will pull in your html that you dumped into the page.
p.s. you can also remove the script at the top just under the header since you won’t be needing this.
Hello,
I am currently working on a project for a client, who had purchased your theme to use on their site. As I was going through and updating it to their look, I found that the slider does not work on Internet Explorer 8 or 9.
What is happening is that the images show up, but they start to repeat at the bottom (I was able to fix this, but I did leave it up so you could take a look). Also, the slider itself, does not slide, and the controls are not showing.
This happens on both my site, and the theme’s demo page. You can see it here:
http://mythemepreviews.com/MB3LIGHT/ http://new.home-computerhelp.com/Any ideas on what may be happening or how to fix it?
Thanks!
Jonthan,
Here is a screenshot of how the theme looks:
http://new.home-computerhelp.com/hch.jpg http://new.home-computerhelp.com/mb3.jpgI am using Internet Explorer 9, Version 9.0.8112.16421 on Windows 7 Home Premium.
I checked it on my computer, as well as two others.
The only changes I made were style changes (colors, fonts, positioning) within the styelsheet.css and inner.css files. I didn’t edit any other files that I think would of affected functionality.
Jonathan,
Thanks for the help! We deduced that there an issue of my install of the javascript engine and re-installing IE9 fixed the problem.
The other machines I tested it on was running IE8 and IE9 in enhanced security mode, causing it to not run the javascript.
Thanks again
How do set the address for when you click on the logo & the default landing page?
Hi – that should be automatic from your wordpress install it’s not something you should have to set in anyway – did you please your htaccess file in the root folder of your wordpress as per directions possibly? It should always go to your index.php file – ie your home page.
