Sir,

This is a weird thing happening.

I make changes on CSS files. But when I change anything on Modernize theme control panel, it takes colors and designs of whatever in “Element Colors” .. How can I make it not overwrite my css styles?

Please advise.

Hi,

when you put in css, make sure that you put !important as well.. For example

.class{ color: #aaaaaa !important; }

Sorry for the specifics of this question, but I’m curious if your theme has a way to put a “sub-menu” on related pages.

For example: I’ve got 4 pages which “relate” to one another and I would like an easy way to navigation between those four. Is there any easy way using shortcodes to automatically create a navigation element where people will see links to all 4 of those pages on each page?

you meant menu on the sidebar??

You may need to create a new menu and use sidebar widget called ‘custom menu’ to call it.

ah, really sorry but this theme doesn’t have that… you may need to check theme since ‘Coporlio’ and above.. . they all have that.

URGENT: Toggle Box, Accordion and Tabs not working with WP 3.5!

I have a site running with WP 3.5 and Modernize and I just realized that all elements built with either Toggle Box, Accordion or Tabs are not working any more since the update. Take a look at this page for example: http://wwws.multimediazentrum.uni-passau.de/muk_neu/?page_id=5148

Haven’t changed anything codewise, all these worked a few days ago without any problems. Anyone has the same problems? Can anyone help?

Hi, please try to upgrade the theme, we put all issue that occurred in WP3.5 in latest update.

To update the theme,

You need to login to your Themeforest profile page, click on ‘download’ tab, then download the theme again.

After that, just proceed steps like when you uploaded the theme in the first time.

A little question; I added an accoredion to a page but the + and – signs don’t appear on the left side, there is just nothing but the titles Do I have to configure something special to see the signs?

about question, hm, that’s pretty weird…. can you go to admin panel > color elements > body > icon > then change to dark mode and save the panel.

fantastic, this helped is there a sort of best practice to transform the whole theme to a dark mode? i mean i would only need the colorcodes, or did i missed a button that would transform the whole theme automatically?

I miss a feature to categorize the pages so I could list them like the portfolio, that would be great. Or a possibility to show a page listing filtered by tags, same as the potfolio view that is filtered by categories.

ah, really sorry but our theme doesn’t have page listing feature to be as portfolio style (unless in the video provided)

you may need to put html code for that directly

There is a compatibility issue with the “All-in-One Event Calendar by Timely” (Version 1.9-standard) when using this theme. Not sure if there is anything you can do … or if the plugin author needs to do something, but just making you all aware in case there is something you can do.

When using the All-In-One-Event-Calendar plugin (see http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/) the AJAX calls the plugin makes work, BUT the displayed calendar is never updated after they return successfully.

I’ll post this on the support page as well. Not sure if you guys have experience with this plugin or not. Its the 1.9 version of it that they just release that I’m using. Its pretty popular and works on a number of other themes I tried it with.

Hi, in your demo, all the in-post thumbnails crop in on the image to a 16:9 ratio. I have a client who would like to have the thumbnail un-cropped since some images are vertical or square he’ll be using.

Is this possible?

Thanks for amazingly quick reply–2 more questions: So what you’re saying is the in-post thumbnail can be a custom size, but that size would be applied throughout the site, yes? If this is the case, then could the in-post thumbnail be simply turned off (keeping the featured image set so the small thumbnails still appear on the homepage and other areas, for instance) and insert the same image that is set as the thumbnail at the top of the post so it will display at its original dimension and aspect ratio? Hope that makes sense. S

So, just to sure, you can assign a featured image to show up as a small thumbnail on the homepage while concurrently NOT showing up as an in-post thumbnail on individual pages. What I’m hoping for is to retain thumbnails on pages like this: http://themes.goodlayers.com/modernize/full-thumbnail-left-sidebar/ while removing the in=post thumbnail on a page like this: http://themes.goodlayers.com/modernize/adipiscing-fringilla-commodo/
