Problems with ipad/iphone compatibility

Great looking template, perfect for what I need, but doesn’t work at all on ipad, and only limited functionality on iphone. This is a real disappointment. Info says it is compatible with Safari.

Navigation buttons work on iphone, but not page buttons. And on ipad neither work.

Are you able to help?

This template was tested very carefully on Safari 5.x (Windows) and it works fine. In the other hand I can’t test it on iPhone/iPad because I don’t use them. Maybe you can give me a some screencast?

Thanks for your reply. I can’t give you a video of what’s not working, but I can tell you that.. . On the iphone: The navigation buttons (left & right) at the bottom DO work The page buttons DO NOT . They highlight, but when you click on them nothing happens i.e. the new page section doesn’t load

On the ipad: Neither the navigation buttons nor the page buttons work

Any chance you could look into it, and help solve?

Hi there! Could you please help me to remove “resume” and “portfolio” sections?

I was able to remove them from the nav menu by commenting them out (using <!- .... ->); however, they still appear when I use the left/right buttons on the bottom right side of the template.

How can I get these pages not to show. I tried to put a screenshot to show what I mean. Thanks!

Please open file /script/monaco.js and remove pages from $this.page array. Let me know if you need more help.

re. IPAD – the navigation buttons (left & right) now work on the ipad, which is great, thank you for fixing!

However the page buttons still do not. Nor do they work on the iphone. When you click on a button like ‘services’ the button text highlights black as it should, and the arrow appears pointing below it, but the page content doesn’t change. The arrow remains also on the original page, so that there are two arrows.

Might you be able to fix? It’s a great template, and almost there.

Then (I think :-) a question which can be handy for lots of people.

The background scales down when you make your window smaller (or you have lower resolution). Can you take this out? So that the image always stays same scale? (because I need a text next to it and when people scale down or have low resolution the text goes under the block on the left.

From my point of view the template is NOT usable / enjoyable on Apple’s productline of iPads/iPhones. The scripts don’t handle the touches (“clicks”) in the way browsing is supposed to be done on this kind of hardware and there are even glitches in the layout, e.g. the headers inside the main text box. They seem out of position. All my comments are tested on variety of iOS and hardware so do forgive me but I think a beautiful idea gets wasted here.

in addition you claim to several questions above that the problem has been fixed. Definately not or only partially true as I described above, too – the touch events are handled in windows/mouselike ways but not as the touchscreens are supposed to be. Example: I need TWO touches (“double clicks”?) on the menu items for the main text box to change.

So, what can we do? From my point of view either this template gets marked “unusable for iOS” or it might be re-written to fit with modern hardware. I dislike your comment “tested with Windows safari etc”, as long as a product is sheduled for more than just one browser it should be tested on a whole variety and not just Safari for Windows.

1) I downloaded the Update. 2) Do you have an iPad? If so, go to your main page, touch a menu item. The main text box will only change once the menu item is touched again. If you have an idea how touches are handled by iOS, you will understand the problem. Please try it on iPad/iPhone hardware.

Ipad – I’m having exactly the same problem. I’m afraid it definitely does not work on ipad/iphone. :(

The navigation arrows do work fine, but as the user above says the menu buttons do not – they need a double click, which is as good as not working.

Must be simple to solve? Please could you try? It’s a great template, but unusable to me if it isn’t compatible with ipad.

For what it’s worth the layout issues aren’t as important to me. The most important thing is that a user can navigate through the site.

1) I see that an update was planned for yesterday. Was it released? I ask because I didn’t see a notification.

2) For some reason, I can’t get new images that I upload into the image folder to appear. For example, on the testimonial page, you will see an empty box.
