Hello again,

A few questions...

1. When I tried to change the background on the homepage it now shows a 404 message???

2. How do I add widgets to just the blog page?

3. Is there a way to change the dark grey at the bottom of the page?

Thank you so much for your great help! Melissa

Hi Mellisa,

1.) How are you changing the background on the homepage? Do you have your site live (online)? If yes, can I take a peek of your site?

2.) Currently, the theme does not employ unique sidebar widgets. However, you can set the “Sidebar Layout” option from the “Unique Page Layout Settings” meta box in the “Add/Edit Page” of each page to “Full Width” and only have the blog page to have the only page with a sidebar layout (Right Sidebar or Left Sidebar).

3.) You can change the background image of the footer by using this code on the “Custom CSS ” textarea of the “General Settings” tab of the “Morphis Theme Options” panel:

#footer-wrapper {
background : #f9f9f9;
border-top: none;
box-shadow: none;
text-shadow: none;
}
#siteInfo {
border-top: none;
text-shadow: none;
}

The #footer-wrapper CSS selector is the dark grey image you’re seeing on your theme. Its ‘background’ property can be used to display a tileable image pattern and background color.

The #siteInfo selector is the area where you see the “Go Back to top” link.

1. I am just adding a background image on the home page. I sent you my site info earlier. I’ll resend.

2. Perfect!

3. Yes! It is really starting to come together – thank you so much for answering all my questions!

One more question:

on the blog page is there a way to have a full width image stay at the top before the posts?

I am loving the theme! Melissa

Hi Melissa,

Unfortunately, sorry but the theme doesn’t have a functionality like that.

Hi Jan, Is there any way to turn down the menu to the level of the line? Thanks

janintia

Hi allusans,

I don’t really understand what you mean by “turn down the menu to the level of the line”. Does this mean to have it “drop-down” like in the Live Preview/Demo of the theme?

HI, Janintia

Is it possible for the slider to have video link (like vimeo) in addition to images? If not, will it be possible to be updated in next version?

Thanks,

John

janintia

Hi John,

I’ll try to add that functionality on the 1.5 update.

Hi again Jan, I have writed at CSS custom “p { font-size: 14px; }” to change the font size, like you said. But if I change the font and after this, I change the font size agian, type of font return to the previus one. Do you know what can i do. Thanks.

janintia

Hi allusans,

I don’t exactly understand what you mean. Did you mean that you also want to change the font-family of the theme? If so, you can choose to select the font on the “Main Body Font” option under the “Skins, Styles & Fonts” tab of the “Morphis Theme Options” panel.

Hi,

Is it possible to delete/hide caption box for image float short code in case i don’t need any caption for the image? I want to have clean image iteself without the dark color bar beneathe.

Thanks,

janintia

Hi hjlee918,

You can add/include this code in the script.js file in line 3 located inside the “js” folder:

$('.image-caption').each( function() {
    var imgCap = $(this);
    if(imgCap.find('p').text() === ''){
        imgCap.css("padding-bottom", 0).css("padding-top", 0);
    }
});

Hi Jan, Thank you for your patience. I’d love to highlight the comments in my web, how I can do bigger point of the comments on every page where they appear? Thank you.

janintia

Hi allusans,

I’m not quite sure what you meant by this. Can you give a specific example?

Hi Jan,

I am having trouble having my photos appear the same way as yours on the demo. http://themes.pastelfriday.com/wp/morphis_light_boxed2/blog/#!prettyPhoto

How do I see the opacity change with the hover over and the enlarge “plus time” and link to the blog post.

janintia

Hi mackberry,

The photos with the “plus time” on hover are the ‘featured images’ of each blog post. You should upload the image on the “Featured Image” box of your post.

Regards, Jan Intia

Thanks Jan. Is there a way to prevent a new window from opening when someone clicks on a standard (non-featured) image from a blog post?

janintia

Hi mackberry,

You can use the “Image Float” shortcode from the shortcode generator button. The option allows you to include the prettyPhoto jQuery plugin where a “lightbox” functionality will pop up upon click of the image.

Hey Jan, Im trying to figure out why when I look at the template through IOS it cuts off much of the slider rather than reducing the size of the slides. Please Help. onechurchorlando.com

Hi slingshot1944,

This is an issue regarding the EI slider from Morphis version 1.0 to 1.4. I’ve already managed to fix this issue on the latest Morphis update 1.5. You can re-download again the theme and replace the files into your current theme version or I can give you the updated “jquery.eislideshow.js” file to your email so you won’t have to re-download all the files again. Here’s my email -> janmichaelintia@gmail.com

I am looking to purchase this theme, but I want to know if there is support to add music to the theme? At least on the home page?

janintia

Hi hellolovely,

The theme supports HTML5 audio on when using the audio post type. This means that you can upload mp3 or OGG files. Although, I don’t exactly know how you would want audio on your theme but you can only use the HTML5 audio player on Posts.

Okay scratch that. I purchased and have been trying to install for the last few hours. Firstly, I cannot install from my Wordpress admin. It uploads to 100% and then I get an error page. I then logged in to my GoDaddy hosting account and tried to upload via their FTP file manager but I am not having any luck.

How should I be installing it? What steps do I need to take to install it correctly with my hosting’s FTP manager?

janintia

Hi hellolovely,

Thank you for purchasing Morphis! :) If I remember it correct, a past buyer also had a same issue when installing the theme on a site hosted by GoDaddy. I was able to upload and activate the theme by using an FTP client “FileZilla”. If you want, I can help you to install the theme. You can email me an FTP account details of your site so I may upload and activate the theme myself. Here’s my email -> janmichaelintia@gmail.com

Hi there. Beautiful theme, and a breeze to set up. Very simple and intuitive. Great work!

A questions for you -

I’d like to remove the page title from each page (it’s so big and unnecessary, in some instances) but then there’s no way for the viewer to know which page they’re looking at. How can the active, or current, page be highlighted in the main menu so people know which page they selected?

Thank you!

Wonderful. Thank you!

One more question for you, please – When there is a sub-menu available on one of the main menu items, how can I have an arrow pointing down in order to indicate that there are more menu items (a sub-menu) available?

janintia

Hi nlambrou,

You can add these js code snippet inside the “script.js” located inside the “js” folder (add this just after line 2 or 3):

$('nav#access').find('.menu')
    .children('.menu-item').children('.sub-menu').prev('a').append('<span class="nav-arrow" />');

And add the CSS for the arrow by including this line of code inside the “Custom CSS ” textarea under the “General Settings” tab of the “Morphis Theme Options” panel:

.nav-arrow {
background: url('http://eng.sejonghakdang.org/images/com/icon/icon_down_text_arrow.gif');
width: 11px;
height: 10px;
margin: 2px 2px 0 4px;
display: inline-block;
}

HI, Jan

I was hoping for Video-capable slider in version 1.5 like you said, but I wasn’t able to find the function. Am I missing something?

John

janintia

Hi John,

Due to a necessary bug reported by one buyer, I had to prioritize and make the 1.5 update as soon as possible. So, unfortunately, I was not able to make the slider video-capable. I think including videos in the EI slider is not some small feature and not that so easy also to code and implement. So forgive me if I haven’t yet included this “feature” in with the theme.

I’m in the process of setting everything up. I’d like to use the “Services” function on the home page. Is there a way to have the services images clickable to go to a page? For instance, I’ve uploaded an image for a service and the image I made says “What is Boudoir?” and I’d like for the client to be able to click on that image and have it take them to another page.

janintia

Hi hellolovely,

I’ll be able to add that functionality in the 1.6 update of the theme.

Also – why are thumbnail images in a post defaulting to 239px by 239px, instead of picking up the Settings-Media size of 150×150?

janintia

Hi nlambrou,

The theme’s images are set to be responsive (because the theme is responsive). This means that it will stretch any image to fit its container. In this case, the posts thumb container which has a width of 220px + 10px each on both sides. So any image size like 150px or 1000px, the image will fit to its container.

I see. Makes sense. Thank you.

I’m not seeing all of my slides on the home page. Only 3 of them show up.

Also, when using the carofredsel slider, the images sometimes stack on top of each other going down the page rather than ‘inserting’ into the slider.

janintia

Hi hellolovely,

I see that many are having issues with the caroufredsel slider. I think i’ll have it fixed also on the 1.6 theme update. The update should be uploaded to ThemeForest in about 2-3 days.

Jan,

How can I get the link for the images in the side bar to open in a new window. I tried to get around this by using a text widget but the image gets distorted.

janintia

Hi mackberry,

You can use basic HTML for images with link. Here’s a sample code:

<a href="http://google.com/" title="Link to your image" target="_blank">
    <img src="http://yoursite.com/your_img_path/your_img.jpg" alt="alt text" title="title text" />
</a>

Notice the “target” attribute in the anchor tag. This is how you would have your link to open in a new browser tab.

Jan Intia

“I’ll be able to add that functionality in the 1.6 update of the theme.”

How soon will that be? :) I’m really looking forward to that…that’s definitely something I want to use!

janintia

It should be done within 2-3 days.
