Hi there,

Thanks again for all of your previous help with our website! I am having one issue that literally just happened after adding pages to my main website and also a sub website that also has Morphis installed. I have both themes set to responsive, however, when viewing from a phone or similar screen resolution, my dropdown menus have disappeared, and I cannot figure out what I changed to cause this. Please help when you can, and thank you! Here are the two websites, to see what I mean:

I noticed that on one of your previous posts, you mentioned that you can change the script.js file on users using the older version of Morphis, which I currently am. I have quite a few custom files, so I haven’t made the upgrade yet, and my computers will not let me open and edit this file, even if I download it to the computers first to edit. It gives me an error message:

Line:56 Char: 4 Error: Expected Identifier, string or number Code: 800A0404 Source: Microsoft JScript compilation error

Default-user

Ugh, and now it suddenly works!! I fixed it, please disregard this issue, thank you so much!

janintia

Great! But I think that you’re having that issue because you’re opening a “script.js” file directly. You can install a source code editor like Notepad++ to help you with editing these types of files.

Hi Jan,

I have noticed that the icon does not appear in the other sections (services, portfolio, blog, etc …

What I can do?

thanks

janintia

Oh, sorry, I didn’t see that, you need to use your whole path for it to work. Use the following code in the Custom CSS textarea instead:

nav#access select {
background-image: url(http://www.realdesign.cl/wp-content/themes/morphis/images/hand_icon.png);
background-repeat: none;
background-position: left center;
background-size: 50px 69px;
background-color: #F6F6F6;
padding-left: 60px;
height: 65px;
}

Hi felipe,

Are you sure? Can you test with other emails? Because I already tested it with gmail and it works fine.

Hi Jan, works well with gmail but my mail (contacto@realdesig.cl —felipemorales @ realdesign.cl -- fmorales-1hotmail.cl) does not work. the common denominator of these 3 given post is that outlook. be that the problem?

That might be the issue. Have you looked into the mail client itself already and not into outlook if you have received the messages?

I’m considering buying Morphis for a client project of mine. I just checked your “light_boxed2” demo on my iphone, and it is not responsive. This concerns me. Is there something wrong with you demo? How can I be assured that this theme is responsive if your demo isn’t?

janintia

Hi sstanley,

Sorry about that, I think I might have changed something in the demo. Already fixed, you can view it now without problem.

HI – I just tried viewing the demo (light-boxed), and yes, it is now responsive, but there is no navigation… that has disappeared. I’m ready to start on a client’s site and I was going to buy Morphis, but I’m concerned when the demo doesn’t work properly. Please advise.

janintia

Hello sstanley,

I apologize for the very delayed response.

There was a minor bug with the current version of the demo (specifically with one js file). I have now updated it and you can view the demo now. Sorry again.

Hello Jan,

First of all, thank you for developing Morphis—we are enjoying this theme very much.

We are designing a WP site with Morphis 2.0.1 installed under WP 3.6.1. We are having a small issue with the social media icons in the header. Icons animate on hoving only on the main home page; however, the icons do not animate on any other pages or posts. Any idea what the problem might be?

Thank you in advance.

Regards, MT

janintia

Hello MT,

Thank you for choosing the theme! :)

I think it might be a jQuery/javascript issue. Are there any plugins you’re using with the theme? It would be wonderful if you could show me your website so I can check further. You can email me @ janmichaelintia@gmail.com.

Thanks,
Jan Intia

Hi,

Nice theme! I have a presale question. Can the photos in portfolio be square instead of round?

Kind regards,

Chrys

janintia

Hello Chrys,

Thank you for your interest with the theme. Yes, it is possible. It only needs to edit some lines of javascript/jQuery codes.

I would love to make the sidebar wider to better allow for advertisements. Is this possible? Thanks in advance!

janintia

Hello sebounds,

Sorry but unfortunately, the setup of the theme doesn’t allow that because the sidebar has a fixed width and there are many files and codes to be updated.

Hi,

I love your theme but would like my logo to cover the whole of the left half of the header. Is this possible or to at least make the logo taller? How would I do this?

Thanks

janintia

Hello medfarmer,

Thanks for the interest with the theme! :)

Yes, it is possible to make the logo container wider. Here is a link to an article I published which instructs how to do this.

Hi, I designed a WP site with Morphis 2.0.0. I created a layerslider WP with many animations. If I make the update to Morphis 2.0.1 could I risk to loose all the animations and the images?

janintia

Hello magneticpangea2013,

Thank you for purchasing the theme! :)

I don’t think you would lose all your animations and images. But I suggest that you make a backup by making a copy of the Export Sliders code.

Hi, I developed one blog based site with Morphis (lovely theme, thank you!) and am trying to create another more traditional website on a wordpress multisite install where the home page is like your example ‘Home – Portfolio’, with six non animated, non sliding ‘portfolio’ link circles acting as a menu for links to other parts of the site (I have the link function working OK).. I had all six showing up (and non animated) when I first created the portfolios and then (in an attempt to get rid of the filter/category description above the circles) changed several things and now all I can get are three sliding circles. I have it set to show ‘home’ as a static front page, set for all 6 images to show on the page. I’ve tried changing it to the ‘portfolio’ template, but then all I get is the sidebar showing (which I’ve love to also have on my front page also). In the home page theme options the only thing I have checked to show are portfolios, not blogs or service (I don’t understand what services are anyway). Any help would be appreciated. I just noticed the other pages contents were all bumped right up to the very top of the page, even the sidebar. Is there any way to make the CSS specific to the home page? I tried adding a blank text box on the right sidebar but you can see the pattern behind it. And I added some HTML in the body to bring if it down on the Halloween page. I think what I need on the home page is not so much to make the logo smaller, but to decrease the empty space at the top of the portfolio container.

janintia

Hi morticiasmorgue,

1.) This is easily done using CSS. Include the following code in the Morphis Theme Options > General Settings > Custom CSS textarea. This will reduce space between the logo/menu and the social icons:

header#branding {
margin-top: 0;
}

2.) Yes, you can reduce more the spacing between the portfolio circles and the logo by adding this to the Custom CSS textarea:

.page-template-template-home-php #main {
padding-top: 0;
}

.centered-heading {
margin-bottom: 40px;
}

3.) You can use this CSS selector specific to the home page:

.page-template-template-home-php

So for example, you want to decrease spacing between the portfolio circles and the logo/menu, you can target the ”#main” ID tag selector from the Home page to reduce spacing:

.page-template-template-home-php #main {
padding-top: 0;
}

Hello,

I am sending a link of the site I am building with Morphis:

http://www.riqueni.com/

Could you please help me with some questions?

1) Home Page.

-I would like to eliminate space in the Base Skin, over and below the Logo and menu, get the underline a little closer. Is this possible? My goal is to have a more centered slider, so I dont have to scroll down to see the whole slider.

-I would like to eliminate all content below the slider, except the Services Heading and Subheading text. Like I mentioned my goal is to see the whole home page without using the scroll, or using it only a little bit.

-Can I make the Base Skin logo and menu area a bit wider? I would like to have one line of menu options in instead of two, right now I have two because I have 8 pages.

-Can I change the grey color of the Social Links?

There is also an error message at the bottom that I can see in every page:

“Fatal error: Cannot use object of type stdClass as array in /homepages/33/d436469716/htdocs/Wordpress Riqueni/wp-content/themes/morphis/api/twitter/twitter.php on line 96”

2)Trailer

-How can I show a video from Vimeo here?, I tried the different options with no sucess

3)Full Width Pages

-How can I conform text?, right now there is no option for that in the tool bar

-How can I eliminate the Leave a Reply box and option?

Thanks a lor for your help.

Hello, I forgot, Can I have an english and spanish version of the site? what plug would you recommend for this?

Thanks a lot for your help

janintia

Hi fbech,

1.) Home Page. a. Add this to your Morphis Theme Options > General Settings > Custom CSS textarea:

Reduced spaces above and below logo and underline:
header#branding {
   margin: 10px 0;
}

header#branding .container-frame {
   margin-bottom: 0;
   max-height: 80px;
}
Eliminate Space above and below the slider:
#main-slider .divider {
   display: none;
}
b. To eliminate all content below the slider, head on to Morphis Theme Options > Home Page Content. Here you would see checkbox options that will enable/disable these content. To have the Services heading and subtext remain visible, do enable the Services section. And then, delete all your Service Items, so it would leave only the heading and subheading texts.

c. Sorry, unfortunately I don’t think it is not possible to make the logo and menu area wider as the container is fixed. However, you can make your logo smaller to accomodate for the menu. Here is an online aticle(http://kb.pastelfriday.com/morphis/how-do-i-make-the-logo-wider/) on how to edit the logo container’s width. Although please note that the article instructs on how to make it wider, what you want to do is make the logo container smaller.

d. The social links are image icons, you can edit the color by editing the PSD files provided with the download package from ThemeForest and then save the PSD as PNG files in the wp-content/themes/morphis/images/icons/mono/ folder.

e. The error is produced when Twitter is not authenticated for use in the theme. To solve this issue, go to this article -> http://kb.pastelfriday.com/morphis/how-to-authenticate-twitter/.

2.) To add Vimeo video to the EI Slider(Vimeo video is not supported in caroufredsel slider). Go to the “Add New/Edit Slide” page of the slide you want the Vimeo video in. Then at this page, you’ll find the Slide Video option which you can then enter the “Vimeo ID”. For example: I have a Vimeo Video at this link: http://vimeo.com/44420219. So, the “Vimeo ID” is 44420219.

3.) a. Sorry but I really do not understand how you mean by “conform” text.

b. By default, WordPress enables comments on Pages and Posts. However, you can view this Morphis KnowledgeBase article online to disable comments on Pages and Posts:

- http://kb.pastelfriday.com/morphis/how-do-i-disable-comments-on-posts/

Hello Janintia. If i resize my window, the main Menu disappear, and don´t appear the “Go To” Drop-down Menu. And another question, is possible add a one pixel stroke to the circles of the portfolio?. thanks in advance. regards

janintia

Hello Esau977,

1.) The drop-down menu issue not appearing on mobile screens is a bug from version 2.0.0 of the theme. It has been resolved in the most recent version which is 2.0.1. However, here’s a quick fix:

a. Open script.js file from wp-content/themes/morphis/js/ folder and then look for this line of code:

if( !caroufredsel_slider_settings.responsive == '1' ) {

b. And then, replace it with this one:

if( caroufredsel_slider_settings.responsive != '1' ) {

2.)Yes, you can add this to the Custom CSS textarea under Morphis Theme Options > General Settings panel:

.overlay figure img {
border: 1px solid #000000;
box-sizing: border-box;
-webkit-box-sizing: border-box;
-moz-box-sizing: border-box;
-ms-box-sizing: border-box;
-o-box-sizing: border-box;
}

You can change the color of the stroke by changing the HEX color code ”#000000”.

Thanks for a great theme. I am having a few problems that I cannot resolve using your knowledge base.

1) I’d like to remove the portfolio navigation that appears at the bottom of the individual portfolio entries. They are similar to a “previous” and “next” option at the bottom of the portfolio item description. I’d prefer to have a “back to portfolio” link instead.

2) I am trying to edit the code so that the individual portfolio items open as a single page instead of as a pop-up above the portfolio columns. I’ve followed the instructions from your knowledge-base article below but it results in a broken link – I cannot get to the individual portfolio item at all.

http://kb.pastelfriday.com/morphis/is-there-a-way-to-display-portfolio-pages-on-a-single-page-after-i-clicked-on-the-thumbnail-instead-of-opening-above-the-columns/

3) I’d like the option of making a slider image an active link to a page or a post elsewhere on the site without having to add text to the slider. How can I do this?

Thank you in advance!

Francesca

janintia

Hello Francesca,

Thank you for choosing the theme! :)

1.) Add the following code in the Custom CSS textarea under Morphis Theme Options > General Settings page to remove the pagination on single portfolio pages:

#portfolio-single #nav-single .nav-previous,
#portfolio-single #nav-single .nav-next {
display: none;
}

And then open single-portfolio.php file which you can find in wp-content/themes/morphis/ folder and find this line of code:

<nav id="nav-single">

and at the bottom of it, add this line of code:

<a class="nav-back-to-portfolio" href="http://yourwebsite.com/yourportfolio-page">Back to Portfolio</a>

This will add a link to your Portfolio page, but you have to replace the “href” attribute with the URL of your portfolio page.

2.)Revert your code changes to the original and do this instead:

a. Open portfolio-columns.php file from wp-content/themes/morphis/inc/layouts/ folder and then look for 3 (three) instances of this line of code:

<?php echo $portfolio_content_link; ?>

Remove/delete all three of them.

b. Next, in the same file, look for 3 (three) instances of this line of code:

echo $portfolio_link;

Replace them with this line of code:

echo get_permalink();

3.) Yes, however, this is only possible when you are using the EI Slider of the theme and the dot overlay is disabled. Just add this in your Morphis Theme Options > General Settings > Custom CSS textarea:

.ei-slider li a {
display: block;
height: 100%;
}

Jan, thank you so much – everything worked perfectly except for the slider link. I’ve added the code you specified in #3 above, but the slide on the home page is still not an active link.

To make sure I haven’t missed anything:

1. I am using the EI slider. 2. In the Edit Slide interface, I have added the caption I want to appear on the slide. 3. Also in the Edit Slide interface, In the “Link Address” box, I have entered the URL for the page I want the slider to link to. 4. I have disabled the dot overlay option in the Edit Slide interface. 5. I’ve saved the updates.

Thank you again for your help!

Which theme version are you currently using? Is it okay if I see your website?

Thanks, Jan Intia

The responsive version doesnt appear to be working correctly. The navigation menu bar is only visible on the home page when viewing on a mobile device and not on any other pages.

see www.fabuloushairbychloe.co.uk for example.

hi that file doesnt have that line of code

janintia

Oh, very sorry, the file is custom.portfolio.js which is in the same folder wp-content/themes/morphis/js/.

1.) remove this line from that file:

"use strict";

2.) Look for this code:

item_id = split[1];

and replace it with:

var item_id = split[1];

The second row of options in the toolbar can be opened by clicking the “Show/Hide Kitchensink” button. See screenshot below to find the “Show/Hide Kitchenshink” button (click to enlarge):

How do I change the font of the navigation bar please?

janintia

Hello mektfarmer,

There is no Theme Option functionality to change font for the navigation bar, so you need to use CSS for this. So, you need to have the CSS selector for the navigation bar to target its fonts. You could do something like this:

nav#access .menu li a {
   font-family: Arial, sans-serif;
}

There are many tutorials for adding fonts like Google Web Fonts or Font faces, some of it here:
a. http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-add-google-web-fonts-wordpress-themes/
b. http://wpmu.org/adding-custom-fonts-to-wordpress-with-font-face-and-css/

Or you could use a plugin like WP Google Fonts

ok I tried the following as i wanted the font the same as a font id chosen from the admin for the websites headings but its not working. Any ideas why?

nav#access .menu li a { font-family: Dancing+Script, latin; }

janintia

Can you try removing the ”+” sign from the “Dancing+Script”, like this one:

nav#access .menu li a { font-family: Dancing Script, latin; }

or if that does not work, try this one:

nav#access .menu li a { font-family: 'Dancing Script', latin; }
