Hi

I m thinking of purchasing this item but I have a question: is it possible to put the logo above the menu? Thanks

janintia

Hello vrghub,

Thank you for your interest with the theme. :) Also, I apologize for the very long response time.

Yes, it is possible to put the logo above the menu. Although this would require code changes in some files of the theme.

I have recently just updated my Morphis theme to the latest version. But since my latest update, the Title font of my blog posts has been showing up as “arial.” Which is supposed to be “CaviarDreamRegular.” Only when I click into the actual post that the title will shown up as the correct font as CaviarDreamRegular. I have looked all over inside the dashboard and all the settings seem to be correct. Please help me to resolve this issue. Thank you.

Hello jazl,

Sorry for the very late response. I have already visited your site (My Sweet P). It seems that you already have resolved your error. I am seeing that the CaviarDreamRegular font is already working on your main blog page.

Maybe is it just a plugin conflict?

Hi—Purchased the theme and am extremely happy. I’ve been doing a fair amount of customization, and would like some help with the footer.

http://emilykinskey.com/

1. The line between my home page content and the footer has disappeared, and I want it back. It still exists on all other pages. I want to make that line 1px solid on all pages—can you help? The source code is referencing a file called “Light.css” ...where is that file? I can’t find it.

2. I would love to put a background pattern in my footer to further distinguish it—is there a way to do this? I’m using the boxed version, I don’t want full width and don’t understand why such a functionality is limited to the full width layout.

Thank you so much for a wonderful theme.

Emily

Hello Emily,

Thank you for choosing the theme! :)

1.) You need to add an “hr” tag on the Home Page template. Here’s how to do it:

a. Open template-home.php and then search for the last occurrence of this line of code in the file:
<div class="clear"></div>
b. and then just above it, add this line of code:
<hr />

2.) You can manually add a custom CSS for the footer’s background by including this in the Morphis Theme Options > General Settings > Custom CSS textarea:

#footer-wrapper .container {
   background: url(http://emilykinskey.com/wp-content/themes/morphis/images/patterns/struckaxiom.png) repeat top left;
   padding-top: 20px;
   padding-bottom: 20px;
}

To change the background pattern, just replace the URL of the image from the above code with the one you’re going to use.

The more I use this theme, the more I love it! I bought this 10 months ago and I have not grown tired of it. There are so many features you can use and Jan Intia offers support really quickly and he readily updates the code to work when there are significant changes to Wordpress or social media plugins. Another great thing about this theme is his online FAQ, so useful, not many authors have such comprehensive instructions online and off like the one offered with Morphis.

Thank you Jan for such a great template, it’s the ultimate theme for a professional looking portfolio.

janintia

Wow, Thank you so much kjherstin! :)

Hi,

The images on my site do not look good on IE.

Do you know why some images on Internet Explorer look pixelated but not on other web browers?

Thanks

janintia

Hi meldfarmer,

I have tested your site http://www.fabuloushairbychloe.co.uk/ and your pages with pictures with these IE versions and all seems fine, no pixelation on the pictures.

  • IE8
  • IE9
  • IE10
  • IE11

Can you specify which page(s) the images have pixelation and also in which IE version were you viewing it?

Regards,
Jan Intia

Hi Jan

When I try to add multiple images in the portfolio image it just hangs. I can add single images. Latest version of you theme and wordpress 3.8

Any ideas

Michael

janintia

Hello Michael,

Thank you for choosing Morphis! :)

The multiple images attachment requires the images to be in a gallery. So you need to create a gallery for the multiple images to function.

1.) Select the “Multiple Image” from the “Select Attachment” drop-down option.
2.) Then click the “Add Media” button.
3.) Click the “Create Gallery”.
4.) Then choose your images by clicking them, or you can upload new images.
5.) Click the “Create a new gallery”.
6.) Lastly, click the “Insert Gallery”.

1. You responded to Emily on how to change the background of the footer. I need to do that as well. I added the code you gave us, but it didn’t work:

footer-wrapper .container {

background: url(http://emilykinskey.com/wp-content/themes/morphis/images/patterns/struckaxiom.png) repeat top left; padding-top: 20px; padding-bottom: 20px; }

Can you check on this?

2. Also can you give us the code to use a color in the background instead of the image?

3. I like the theme overall, however there is a lot of extra space between certain items. Can you please tell me how to adjust the spacing… - Reduce space between footer widgets and the content above in the body. - I’ve used the headline w/o a subheadline in some places, so I’d like to get rid of the space for the subheadline if I’m not using one. - Reduce the space in the header underneath the menu, above the hr bottom line of the header.

Thanks for your help Jan!

janintia

Hi Stacey,

1.) You need to use the whole code, not just the properties:

#footer-wrapper .container {
   background: url(http://emilykinskey.com/wp-content/themes/morphis/images/patterns/struckaxiom.png) repeat top left;
   padding-top: 20px;
   padding-bottom: 20px;
}

2.) For the background color, here’s the code:

body {
background: #E18274;
}

3.) Usually the spacings are modified using CSS. I use Chrome’s developer tool to quickly adjust spacings in-browser and apply the CSS on my file’s codes later on.

a. space between footer and content:
#footer-wrapper .container {
padding-top: 0;
}
b. reduce sub-heading space:
.entry-content .centered-heading {
margin-bottom: 20px;
}
c. Reduce the space in the header underneath the menu:
header#branding .alpha .container-frame {
margin-bottom: -15px;
}

Thank you for your reply Jan. I was able to get most of the coding to work.

The one I’m still having problems with is on a page template (not the homepage), I need to increase the padding between the footer container, and the text in the body above it. Please help! thanks!

janintia

Hello Stacey,

You can try this:

.blog-post #comments {
margin-top: 30px;
}

Hi. I recently purchased the theme and I really love it. I have some questions about it.

I’m on WordPress 3.8 and Morphis version 2.0.1. I am using the boxed layout of the theme. For the general blog, I use the Blog Layout 1 Default. For individual entries, I use Blog Layout 3 Full Content. The URL is http://stumbledownunder.com/ if you want to take a look.

(1.) What are the ideal dimensions for images, both Featured Images and general pictures in a blog entry? Maybe I’m asking what is the container’s width?

(2.) Under Page Content > Select Category for the Blog section, I see that I have to select a single category for my featured posts. How can I set it to take the latest posts regardless of category? I’ve seen instructions regarding editing the file “blogs.php” under the “morphis/inc” folder to add the Post ID’s. Is this the only way – going in after every blog entry is published and editing the file? If so, please consider expanding this option. The current method isn’t feasible for me because I schedule my blog entries days ahead.

Thank you.

janintia

Hi Chrystella,

Thank you for choosing Morphis! :)

1.) Since the theme is responsive, regardless of how big or wide your image is, they would fit to the container’s width. The container or content width of the blog posts is 520px on desktop screens.

2.) Yes, I will be updating this feature and will include an option to show all posts regardless of their categories. This will be available in the next theme update. However, for the meantime, here’s a quick fix, just place the following code at the end of the functions.php file:

function morphis_show_all_blogs_home_page() {
    global $NHP_Options;
    if( is_array( $NHP_Options ) ) {
        $NHP_Options['blog_cats_select'] = '';
    }
}
add_action( 'init', 'morphis_show_all_blogs_home_page', 2 );

Hello, is it possible to center the logo between the main menu? This theme is wonderful and I’m sure there is a way, any help would be appreciated!

Thank you, Mollie

janintia

Hello Mollie,

Sorry for the very late response. I don’t think there is an easy way to implement this type of functionality. It would take some CSS techniques to center the logo between the main menu.

Jan – I’d like to change the font in the titles of the widgets and sidebars. That’s an H6 tag. Can you please give me the code to change that? Thanks!

janintia

Hi Stacey,

You can use this custom CSS code:

#secondary .widget-title {
font-family: Georgia;
}

Hello,

I am missing this buttom in the text editor toolbar:

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/844/z64g.png/

The one in the red circle, its the usual buttom you can find in Pages or Word to align paragrahps. Can I have it in the theme?

Thanks a lot for your help

janintia

Hello fbech,

THe “justify” alignment button is found at the second line of the toolbars. It is just beside the “underline” button. Here’s a reference picture (circled red). Click the image to view larger:

If the second toolbar is not visible, you need to click the “Show/Hide Kitchensink” button which is encircled blue in the reference image above.

I am still having a problem making our slider images clickable – using the EI slider and have removed the dot overlay, per the support documentation. Still no luck. Can you help please? www.roadhousearts.com

Thanks in advance!

Francesca

janintia

Hello Francesca,

Currently, the caroufredsel slider does not support having the whole image to be clickable. This is only applicable when you’re using the EI slider. However, you can place a clickable button for every slide in the caroufredsel slider. This is done by placing a text on the Link Caption textbox. For example, you can place a “Read More” text and it will show as a button in the slider where the user can click to jump to the URL specified in the Link Address textbox.

Otherwise, you can use the EI Slider to have your slide images clickable without showing a button. To change your slider to EI Slider, just head on to your Home page’s “Add/Edit” page in your dashboard.

Jan, I am sorry, but we seem to be going in circles. I am using the EI slider. I do not want a clickable button, I want the slide to be clickable. I have disabled the dots overlay and entered a URL. What am I missing??

janintia

Hello Francesca,

I checked your home page www.roadhousearts.com last time and it was using caroufredsel slider. And also I am checking it now and it is definitely using the caroufredsel slider. I tried changing it to EI Slider to check if the image were clickable and it was when I changed it to EI Slider.

One way to check if you are using the EI Slider is when the slider have pagination buttons under it.

Hi Jan,

Awesome theme and your support has been great, im having 1 issue on the resonsive side of things,

On my home page when i view on a mobile the select nav (drop down) works fine yet on all sub pages the select nav it disappears?

After days and days trying to sort i did stumble on the fact if i changed the home page in the wp reading settings the select nav then works only on the page that is set to the home page

where i really want the nav to display on all my pages any ideas or help will be greatfully recieved im about pulling my hair out with it ha, im sure this goes beyond the usual suport but you have been so helpful in the past

Thanks Chris

janintia

Hello Chris,

Wow, thanks Chris! :) I really appreciate it.

Yes, this is a small bug on the 2.0.0 version of the theme where the mobile menu disappears on the inner pages.

Here’s the fix:

Open script.js from inside the js/ folder of the theme and then look for this one line of code:

    if( !caroufredsel_slider_settings.responsive == '1' ) {
Replace it with this one:
    if( caroufredsel_slider_settings.responsive != '1' ) {

This should fix the issue.

Thanks for recommending it to your friend! :) Really appreciate it.

Have you already refreshed your browser? I don’t think there is anything else I know of other than the code fix I gave you on my last reply. If you can give me your website address, I might be able to pinpoint the cause of the issue. You can email me @ janmichaelintia@gmail.com.

Insert Columns into a page? Also how do I insert tabs and price boxes?

janintia

Hello jrichmo93,

Thank you for purchasing the theme! :)

The theme uses a shortcode generator which can be found on the toolbar of the WP editor that lets you insert shortcodes for columns, price boxes, tabs, etc.

You can find this shortcode generator button when you’re on the post editor, you’ll see a “blue gear” icon. Click this icon and it will show a drop-down list of all the shortcodes available for the theme.

See screenshot below(click to view larger):

Also, a short note for using the Columns shortcode:

The whole width of a full-width Page is about “16 columns” wide. This means that if you want to put 4 columns in one row, you’ll need to use the 4 “four columns” column shortcode to occupy the whole “16 column” space.

Regards,
Jan Intia

What are all the short codes for this theme?

janintia

Hello jrichmo93,

All the shortcodes included within the theme can be viewed on the following links:

1.) Columns

2.) Typography

3.) Elements

4.) Media

The elements you see on the above pages are rendered using the shortcode included within the theme and is utilized using the “Shortcode Generator” blue gear icon button that can be found in the Post/Page editor as I had replied earlier.

Hello again! Been having great success with this theme, thank you so much!! I am having one small glitch on my pages, specifically only using an IPad in landscape mode. For instance, when you visit http://www.StevenMillerPix.com/bridalshow, it opens fine in landscape on the ipad, but as soon as you use two fingers or try to zoom in/out, it morphs into a zoomed-in version, pushing content around differently. This effect occurs on every other page as well, regardless of the browser I use, but ONLY when the Ipad is flipped landscape instead of portrait. Would you be able to help me with this glitch?

Thanks!

StevenMillerPix www.StevenMillerPix.com

janintia

Hello Steven,

Well, we can try disabling zooming when pinching on an iPad. You can do this by:

1.) Opening the script.js file from inside the “js/” folder of the theme and then looking for this block of code:

//fix for iOS orientation change
            if (navigator.userAgent.match(/iPhone/i) || navigator.userAgent.match(/iPad/i)) {
              var viewportmeta = document.querySelector('meta[name="viewport"]');
              if (viewportmeta) {
                viewportmeta.content = 'width=device-width, minimum-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0';
                document.body.addEventListener('gesturestart', function() {
                  viewportmeta.content = 'width=device-width, minimum-scale=0.25, maximum-scale=1.6';
                }, false);
              }
            }

2.) Then delete it or just comment it out by placing two slashes (’//’) in front of each line so that your code should look like this:

//fix for iOS orientation change
            // if (navigator.userAgent.match(/iPhone/i) || navigator.userAgent.match(/iPad/i)) {
              // var viewportmeta = document.querySelector('meta[name="viewport"]');
              // if (viewportmeta) {
                // viewportmeta.content = 'width=device-width, minimum-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0';
                // document.body.addEventListener('gesturestart', function() {
                  // viewportmeta.content = 'width=device-width, minimum-scale=0.25, maximum-scale=1.6';
                // }, false);
              // }
            // }

3.) Then, lastly, open the header.php file from the theme folder and then look for this line of code:

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width,initial-scale=1">

4.) And then replace it with this one:

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, minimum-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0">

Hi there Jan! I was hoping if you could help with an issue.

Is there anyway I can display the boxed layout version for desktops and tablets but the full version for mobiles?

hello Jan ! I hope you are well ; I’m still very happy with the theme and I can so many compliments of how my blog looks …

I’m a bit worried because a few people told me that they don’t see the text, only the images, when using Google Chrome browser.

Any update could fix that ? I guess they are on Windows but I’m waiting a confirmation of this.

thank you !

janintia

Hello argone,

Thank you!

As of right now, I can’t replicate the issue on my Google Chrome browser. I did followed the correct implementation of Google Web Font on the Morphis theme. I don’t see anything that might cause the issue. Although this might be a browser issue (using older versions) as suggested by these links:

  1. https://github.com/imsky/holder/issues/81
  2. https://productforums.google.com/forum/#" alt="" />topic/chrome/h9qULzjXKVw

Also, you can maybe try this fix:

Open theme-styles.php file from wp-content/themes/morphis/inc/ folder and find three(3) of this text:

http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=
And replace it with this:
https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=

You can try updating your theme version to 2.0.1. I’m seeing that you’re using the 1.9.2 version.
