Dear sir / madam,
I like the puzzle-grid theme a lot, unfortunately I have problems with the responsive side of the theme. I am making a site for a famous Dutch singer: http://www-d-o-t-hind-d-o-t-nl.alvast-online.nl , but if you watch this on a mobile device like an iphone the blocks doesn’t scale and doesn’t fit the screen well. Also the contact page isn’t viewable right, you can not see the contact details of the team members. Could you please let me know how to solve this, because the theme was sold as responsive. I hope you can help me soon.

We check your site and all seems to work correctly.
We checked your theme and seems that you’re using a child theme. If you inspect it with some code tool (like chrome code inspector) you could see 2 404 error.

Please, could you explain us exactly any steps you follow to check the responsiveness?
The 404 was an image problem, fixed it, but it has nothing to do with the responsiveness of the site on mobile phones.
To check the responsiveness of a site you can view the link on your mobile phone or go to http://www.responsinator.com/?url=www-d-o-t-hind-d-o-t-nl.alvast-online.nl%2F as you see some of the tiles are not scaled to the width of the screen. This is happening with landscape tiles. When you click on contact in the menu you also see that the contact information at the 3 images are not shown.
I hope to hear a right solution to the problem.

It is now 14 days later and we still have the problem and no reply. It is not a problem on some devices, it is a problem on iphone 5, hts, nokia, samsung, as i have seen all mobile phones. There was no time left for the client to wait, so her site is online now with this problem. Visitors starts to complain, so we have a problem. You promised to be responsive, but you are not. If you cannot fix this problem soon, we have to build a new site, I don’t like to write this down, but it is the point, who is gonna be financially responsible for this?
download the latest Mug version and update it to solve your first request.
Regarding the images into the contact page we don’t find your issue; all images are correctly displayed.
Thank you for your fast handling today, we will check the update. The contactpage we solved by not making the page based on the contact-template, but by making a custom page. When the contact page is based on the contact template then the team-member buttons for mail and social media are not displayed on mobile phones. I hope this will help you further. Regards Adrian

Check for example the image “uniform wares identity” (the gray image with the watches). On the desktop version of the site you see 3 watches in the image, in the mobile version you see 2 watches, so a part of the image is cut off. This happens with this portrait tile, but also with high long tiles. As you see here: www.hind.nl at some images heads are cut off and important parts of the image aren’t shown on the mobile version. This isn’t good. Can you please let me know how we gonna fix this on a very, very short time?
on smaller resolutions the theme changes the size of items standardizing to a rectangular and vertical shape, this to preserve the readability of the content.
If it simply resize them, the portrait boxes will appear extremely small with no enough space for the text content.
On resolution changing the background image is adapted, but obviously if it is departing rectangular will be adapted so as to fill the new shape.
This behavior has been chosen to ensure the best performance in the various resolutions.
I just purchased “Mug” theme.
I installed it, imported dummy content with all pictures, upgraded revolution slider, went through “help” folder but still:
1. I can’t use any menu – it just doesn’t work. After checked a particular menu, it doesn’t appear on my homepage.
2. My homepage looks and works absolutely different than your demo. I have feeling that it have problem with filling up the homepage with portfolio items.

OK, I found the problem. Apparently one of plugins was messing things up. Now I have other issue:
I want to add a portfolio item with gallery format and images don’t show in gallery slideshow. I found this in your instruction:
“To publish a gallery post format, upload as many photos as you’d prefer into the media uploader and do not set a post featured image. If you do, it will override the gallery slideshow.
Once you have uploaded the images, close the panel (without clicking the “Insert into post” button, otherwise the images you have just uploaded will also be seen on the post content).
Once you create the gallery, to change the order, add or delete images simply click again on “Add Media” and select “Uploaded to this post.” Here you can change the order of images with drag & drop, delete, or add new images to the gallery”
1. I follow the instruction but images still don’t appear in slideshow.
2. Does it mean when I want to have a gallery slideshow I can’t have featured image at the same time? Or maybe I can because in demo (item “Solunite AG, Switzerland”) it is possible and working exactly how I would like it to work….
I’m really confused and on the edge right now. This is the most problematic theme I’ve been working with so far… .

Of course I did. I did exactly what the instruction says.

OK, how can I do that? Where should I send access to?
The simpliest way would be if you told me the right order of action. I do it like this:
1. Click “add portfolio”.
2. Give it a name.
3. Choose “gallery” from the “format” box one the right side.
4. Click “add medium”, then “create gallery” and choose images I would like to add.
5. Click “create gallery” and close the window (I don’t click “insert the gallery” button, as you recommend in instruction).
Sometimes the gallery is created and sometimes is not and I don’t know why.
7. Then I go one more time to panel and add a featured image – and the same thing happen – sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.
4. You do not have to choose “Gallery”.
1. Choose Gallery post format
2. Click Add media
3. Drag&drop/upload as many photos as you’d prefer into the media uploader
4. Close the panel without clicking the “Insert into post” button and/or “create gallery”
5. Publish or update your post.

I don’t see “uploaded to this post” anywhere…Is there any option to turn it on?
It’s quite problematic to not have control on the order of images.

2. Media library > select “Uploaded to this page”

Although the documentation/instruction you provide is incomplete, inaccurate and very misleading and should be updated with informations based on your clients questions. I have just bought it and install it but I have no visuals visible after uploading the xml file. I have pretty much everything in the media librairy nut nothing in the front end.

this is a common issue when the server has some issue on permissions. Mug creates a dynamic CSS file to assign the proper images to all portfolio posts. Checking your site seems that you get a 404 error (http://site2016.enquetedecom.com/thmlv-custom-styles.css?1443119646 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404).

I contacted our hosting provider and here is the answer :
They have granted all permissions for wp-content and its subfolders.
The file thmlv-custom-styles.css is missing from the theme folder. (Please contact your theme vendor for checking the problem.)

the file doesn’t exist, it’s a virtual file created every time on demand on page load.
As previous customers this issue is related with the hosting partner.

Hello, I am still facing many issues with the theme and even the hosting provider has issues on its won side.
on the help pages, it says the following :
1.2.1 Upload from WordPress admin panel
To upload through your WordPress Dashboard, select “Appearance” and then “Themes” (located on the Dashboard sidebar). Next, select the “Install Themes” tab at the top of the page and then select the “Upload” link, right above the search field. Choose your file and select “Install Now”. Once the theme is fully uploaded and installed, click “Activate” to activate the WordPress theme.
Please ensure you are uploading the un-zipped theme folder, not the entire package downloaded. If you upload the wrong file (the package) you will get an error stating “Error: missing style.css stylesheet.”.
If i do not upload the zipped package but only the the uzziped package, what should I upload.? I have no idea because all I have are php files mainly.

Your theme is installed correctly. That is a mistake that often happens when someone loads the entire package downloaded from Themeforest, and not just the theme (mug.zip). It should only be upload the theme (mug.zip or folder mug).
Unfortunately you have a problem with the hosting provider, independent of us. We suggest you to take a look to you php logs to check the errors.

I waste too much time in finding something i should not be looking for.
As it seems that I won’t be able to use the theme the way I want, because i can not spend more days in it. A theme is supposed to be immediately ready, I would like a full refund so i choose another one, much easier to install and use.
How can we proceed?

I have used for me and other client many themes and I have never encountered so much troubles in setting up a theme. So it is not that independant beacuse this is the way it has been developed that makes it difficult.
Honestly, the design is great but why didn’t you do something easier to manage?
Probably not you get in the “mindset” of the theme, so far we have received a lot of praise for the ease of use of the theme! But absolutely we respect your opinion!
However, trust me, if you can, try to install the theme on another host, you will see that it will work.
I am sure lots of people love it. but i ma not a “tech guy” and I find it to difficult to configure properly. Perhaps you could help?

We suggest you to ask a permission check to your hosting provider.
Send them these infos, they’re quite important to explain your issue.
I’m trying to work out a couple of things in updating the website.
1. How to turn off or hide the “Header Setting” and “Loving it counter/Stars” in the portfolio pages.
2. I’m using the portfolio template for the home page and it only allows me to link the image to a portfolio page. Is it possible to like it to a different page such as About Us, Services or Contact?
