Not sure if anyone else is having this strange problem- wish this forum was searchable as I’m sure it’s posted somewhere else.

I have installed this theme for ‘practice’ and theming purposes on different types of servers. On all but one (Bluehost) if you create a user role of ‘editor’ and then login and try to edit a page, the editing tools on pages dissappears and you cannot see any text- it’s all white on white.

I had my coder take a look and he said it’s a problem with the theme. Anyone have any ideas? Administrator role works perfectly- just editor.

unisphere

Hey mate, that was a bug that got fixed on update 1.4. I’ve just tested an user with the “editor” role and the editing fields appear correctly. You say that it is only happening in Bluehost, could you email me an editor user credentials so that I can take a look?

You are correct- that one was on ver. 1.1. I’ll update and I’m sure it will work properly. Thanks for your great support and amazing theme!

I would like to:

1) Be able to display subcategories on the portfolio page.

2) Have a breadcrumb of categories within the portfolio item page.

unisphere

Hi,

the portfolio page templates enable you to display any category you like although there is no concept of sub-categories. To simulate it you can create parent and child pages and display specific categories on them.

But the portfolio section inside the control panel has subcategories. We have 200+ items in portfolio, without subcategories it’s a big mess, please include this in future updates.

unisphere

Hi, if you are referring to the lack of category parent and child relationship when checking which categories to display in the admin panel, I’ll try and include it in the next update, meanwhile edit the file /library/custom-fields.php and replace this code with this code.

Hi there,

Absolutely love the theme! I have a few (easily answerable) questions that I can’t seem to find the answer to elsewhere. My apologies if they are right under my nose.

1) Does the “skins” feature work in the same way that a “build a page” feature might work on a different theme? Basically, I am wondering if I have the ability to easily customize where sliders, pictures, info goes. 2) Is the “skins” feature easily customizable without needing to do much coding? 3) I saw in your support booklet that the CSS3 features are not compatible with IE7 and IE8 – what are these features exactly?

Thanks so much, can’t wait to work with your theme!

unisphere

Hi, please post questions using the ThemeForest account used to purchase the theme so that I can verify the purchase.

My apologies, I failed to mention that these were pre-purchase questions!

unisphere

Hi, sorry I didn’t notice those were pre-purchase questions.

1) The skins feature is not a page builder like you can find in other themes, it’s just an “codeless” way of visually changing the layout and design of the entire theme.

2) You have the option to change pretty much every aspect of the theme design without touching any code.

3) These features are rounded corners in buttons for example.

Hi ,

Theme is great! I only have one problem with displaying the product thumbnails on the e-shop. Thumbnails seem to align only in one column instead of making a 3-4 columns on a single page. I would appreciate it if I could get some advice for this problem. Here is the link to the e-shop: http://ttdental.ee/wordpress/product-category/implantatsioon/

To the previous comment, we downgraded woocommerce and it fixed it.

unisphere

Hi, that’s very strange since I’ve just tested the theme with the latest WooCommerce 2.0.9 version and I can’t see the issue. Was this the version where you experienced the issue?

Best regards

Default-user

Yes. We were using 2.0.9, downgraded to 2.0.3

Hi,

Just wanted to say that I am absolutely loving the theme! Already planning on using it for a couple other projects! :)

I have one little problem that I can’t seem to figure out.

For the sub-header, normal-sized slider, is there any way to change the width beyond the 960px vs 1020px options? I am working with photographs that are more like 800-900px wide, and was hoping to be able to use them gracefully on the homepage. Currently, the too-small images are displaying on the slider on the left – is there any way to center these too-small images on the slider at the very least?

Ideally, I would be able to change the slider width completely.

Thanks so much!

unisphere

Hi, changing the sub-header slider width is quite a buren I’m afraid, you’d have to change quite a lot of code considering the amount of features that the theme has. If centering the image is an option then add the following code to the Custom CSS field in the Theme Options area:

.slider-image { text-align: center; }

Best regards

Default-user

Hi, thanks for your prompt response! Centering the image is an option – thanks for the CSS – much appreciated! :)

Hey!

I’m having this issue with codestyling localization, when using woocommerce 2.0.3 to translate into my native language: Author is using load_textdomain instead of load_plugin_textdomain function. This may break behavior of WordPress, because some filters and actions won’t be executed anymore. Please contact the Author about that.

When trying to create a new language this error appears: Error: The actual loaded translation content does not match the textdomain: woocommerce Expect, that any text you translate will not occure as long as the textdomain is mismatching! This is a coding issue at the source files you try to translate, please contact the original Author and explain this mismatch.

Can you resolve this? Best wishes

unisphere

Hi, I’m not using the function “load_textdomain” in the theme code anywhere, it’s the WooCommerce plugin that is using it. The theme only calls “load_theme_textdomain” for the “unisphere” textdomain. My advice is to read the following tutorial on translating WooCommerce: http://docs.woothemes.com/document/woocommerce-localization/

If codestyling localization plugin fails you can always translate with the POEdit approach described in the above article.

When trying to log in to the admin panel, I get this error:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/alive365/public_html/paperblazer.com/wp-content/themes/mural/functions.php:374) in /home/alive365/public_html/paperblazer.com/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 876

I cannot log in. Help!

My website is www.paperblazer.com.

(thus, www.paperblazer.com/wp-includes/pluggable.php)

unisphere

Hi, that’s very strange. Did it start happening without any modifications? Did you activate any plugin recently that could potentially cause this?

Please email me admin access to your WP installation as well as FTP credentials so that I can try and take a proper look.

Getting this error message in the skins manager

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage22/th/in/kg/thinkgrowcreate.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/themes/mural/library/admin/options-interface.php on line 230

What’s that about?

Also can’t download any skins in the download skins areas – says ‘An error occurred when accessing remote server, please try again later’ .is this related to the error?

unisphere

Hi, those errors could be related since both actions are trying to access a remote server.

Try to edit the functions.php file and replace these 3 lines of code:

define( 'UNISPHERE_NOTIFIER_FILE', 'http://notifier.unispheredesign.com/mural/notifier.xml' ); // The notifier file containing the latest version of the theme
define( 'UNISPHERE_GOOGLE_WEB_FONTS_FILE', 'http://notifier.unispheredesign.com/mural/fonts/update-font-list.php' ); // The remote file containing the latest Google web fonts
define( 'UNISPHERE_SKINS_BROWSER_FILE', 'http://notifier.unispheredesign.com/mural/skins/skins.php' ); // The remote file containing new downloadable skins

With:

define( 'UNISPHERE_NOTIFIER_FILE', 'http://www.unispheredesign.com/demo/notifier/mural/notifier.xml' ); // The notifier file containing the latest version of the theme
define( 'UNISPHERE_GOOGLE_WEB_FONTS_FILE', 'http://www.unispheredesign.com/demo/notifier/mural/fonts/update-font-list.php' ); // The remote file containing the latest Google web fonts

Lovin this theme!

I’m wishing this theme had a logo overide option in page settings for individual pages. :bigwink:

All the best!

How do I re-install the theme without overwriting or erasing the customization options? I have spent hours, if not days, adjusting the colors and so forth.

I’d like to upgrade to the latest version without losing all of that data.

unisphere

Hi, if you have just made customizations inside the Skins Manager and not to the physical theme files it should be safe to update. However, I highly recommend backing the entire “mural” theme folde in “wp-content/themes/” in case anything goes wrong.

Pre-purchase question.. LOVE this theme! Is there a way to give space between portfolio items? A lot of my watercolors are the same colors from the same palette and having them touch would not be good.

unisphere

Hi, you could use one of the portfolio templates with description, example: http://mural.unispheredesign.com/portfolios/sortable/3-columns-with-description/

These have spacing between portfolio items.

Hello, I’m sure that it would be pretty easy to place the full width slider behind the logo and navigation. Could you provide me with the css for this? I will make the header transparent and I want it to be over top of the slider.

unisphere

Hi, you can easily do this from inside the “Skins Manager” admin panel, see screenshot: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B7WKXRqIiripMUVSUnZHUE1WbXc/edit?usp=drive_web

Awesome, I didn’t realize it’s that easy. I also added a z-index of -1 to the fullwidth slideshow to allow the transparent background to show up and it worked like a charm.

Also is there a way for the masonry blog option to horizontally line up all the blogs on the same row so it’s not different box sizes? I just feel like it’s harder to navigate myself through the blogs posts in chronological order. This is a pre-purchase question.

thanks!

unisphere

Hi, the only way you can do this is if the images are exactly the same size (which you can set in the Image Sizes admin panel) and if the excerpt text has the same number of text lines also.

Sorry, final questions! Do you have a template for the 404 page? Also, for the contact page, I know there type in blocks for people to put their name, email, etc in but I was wondering if one of those could be customized as a drop down menu. For instance, one of them would be labeled “I’m interested in…” and then the drop down menu will have options for people to choose. Is there a way I could make that happen?

This is again a pre-purchase question, sorry and thanks!

unisphere

Hi, the theme includes a 404 page that you can customize as you wish (although it requires you to know your way around HTML) and can be found in the file 404.php.

Regarding the contact form question, I’m afraid that the fields are static so if you want to add a drop down field you’ll have to edit the template_contact.php file and add code. Alternatively you can use a free form building plugin.
