Great Work! GLWS!
Hey thanks for the encouragement!
Great work, glws
Thanks thecrea! I appreciate the kind words.
Good Stuff! I just noticed that the portfolio thumbnails does not zoom in or enlarge when you click on it. Can we fix that before I purchase?
Hi there! Yeah so I decided to go with a cooler fade effect this time but it does sacrifice the zoom effect. Go ahead and buy the theme and send me a private message via my profile and i’ll set you up with a version that has the lightbox effect you are looking for
Thank you so much! I just purchased it and I noticed that you updated it already. Can you give me a short guide to set up the video?
oh i found the code! Thank you so much! i will let you know if i need any help.
Excellent! Let me know if you need any assistance, and thanks for the purchase
The video was quiet attention grabber, nicely implemented. Good theme.
Hey ssutanto! Very kind words. Led me to your portfolio as well, very nice theme you have there as well
Hello, Where can i find the documentation and support forum. I see a MuseBuilder.pdf in help, but that is only one page and talks about jquery timecircles.
Hi Trevorhu! First, a huge thanks for purchasing this Muse Template
For any support issues you might have, I currently have two options for you.
1. You can post any questions here in the comment section
2. message me through my profile here: http://themeforest.net/user/themejive
I prefer you ask questions in the comment section as it might serve as a way for others to find answers to similar questions.
how do you do the shopping cart?
Sorry, the shopping cart never made it into the initial release. I am working on one however. If you end up buying before it is complete, I will make sure you know when an update is ready.
Let me know if you need anything else
Great theme. I love how you implemented the full background video. I’m using elements from your site in mine and I cannot figure out how you prevented the scroll bars from appearing when the browser window is reduced. It allows me to scroll over to see the entire video, no matter what the browser size, and I don’t want that. Suggestions?
Hi Rendered! Thanks for purchasing my theme and for the kind words
There is a secret trick that you need to employ to make this magic happen. Click on the composition object on the page one time. Then look at the scroll motion panel and make sure your settings are set exactly like this. http://screencast.com/t/7etSU2vHB
That’s it, it’s a bit of a hack to make Muse ignore the overlap but it works great
Let me know if that doesn’t fix you up. Thanks again!
You, Sir, are a magician! You just solved about 99% of my headaches. Thank you.
Great! Would love to see your finished product if possible. Either way, please let me know if you need anything else
this is gonna be fun! great template, i might have to bother you some about implementing my own video… but i already wanted to give you a thankful feedback.
Hey cooolia, thanks for the purchase! Hit me up anytime if you have questions
what is the HTML5 code for the video you put in there?
Hello! Thanks for purchasing my template Check out this video on how to edit the html. http://www.screencast.com/t/6NRaHGDxz
If you still have questions, please let me know.
How can I upload my own videos?
I do not recomend to purchase this video unless you want to remain the predefined stock videos. You CAN’T add your own videos.
Hi Sean, so sorry for the delayed reply. Please look at the comment directly above yours for an example video of how to change the link to a video of your own
Keep in mind, the videos are pulling from a location on the web so you will need to upload your own videos to your server or a web based storage service. if you need any further help, I am happy to assist you. In fact, feel free to send me your .muse file if you get stuck.
Thanks, and again, I apologize for my late reply.
I changed the src of my HTML video based on the screencast from above, but it still seems to be pointing to the stock video. Do I need to change it somewhere else as well?
No that is the only place. It could be a cache issue. Please send me your .muse file and I’ll have a peek for you
I was curious how you went about animating the waterfall gif or video based on scrolling. I can’t seem to find the stock provided in the preview to replace.
Hi there, sorry for the delay. So this is really interesting as the effect you are referring to only happens that way in Chrome (and maybe safari) But if you view the same section of the site in Firefox you will see the animated gif running as it should be. The truth is I liked the effect in Chrome much better even though there is no way to recreate this function intentionally (at least in Muse)
Please let me know if you need anything else
Ok, I too am having trouble with implementing my own video. I followed the instructions shown on this video: http://www.screencast.com/t/6NRaHGDxz, cleared my cache, and pasted in my source. Still, after all of this, my video does not play – its still pulling the stock videos you had coded into. I checked the index.html file that muse exports and I see two other areas where videos are referenced on lines 34 and 44 :
Your browser does not support the video tag.
<!- group ->
<!- custom html ->
<video width="1920" height="1080" autoplay loop>
<source src="http://themejive.com/vid/about.mp4" type="video/mp4">
How does one remove those two other references within muse? I realize i can delete this in the index file, but i would like to remove this in muse.
Hi salamanderdesigns sorry for the confusion here The videos are in a slideshow so there are four different slide. If you only want one video, please delete the ones you don’t need. Here is an example. http://screencast.com/t/6KWwNezh
If this doesn’t get you fixed up, please send me your .muse file with a link to the video you would like to use. Thanks for the purchase!
Thank you very much for the quick reply. That is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.
Can I use youtube or vimeo for this video header?
Hello, sorry for the delayed reply. Yes you can use both but it kind of depends on the video dimensions. The bigger the better. Let me see if I can put together an example.
OK, I was able to get this to work with Vimeo so far. Here is the code I used. Replace the html I have for one of the video slide with the following:
<iframe src=”//player.vimeo.com/video/44505267?title=0&byline=0&portrait=0&autoplay=1&loop=1” width=”1920” height=”1080” frameborder=”0” webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>
And here is the code i used for a youtube embed example. Looks awesome!
<iframe width=”1920” height=”1080” src=”//www.youtube.com/embed/O7-ggV4SQRs?rel=0&autoplay=1” frameborder=”0” allowfullscreen></iframe>
I bought this template, but noticed the video changed from the preview. Instead of the long road (which is something I liked) it’s now a slow moving purple graphic…. I’m not sure what happened.
It says that my browser does not support the video tag. everything is updated. please help?
So this is the default message that shows but it is likely that the video code you are using is not quite right. Can you show me the code you have entered into the html window?
Is this template responsive?
Hi marcocostajr Unfortunately Adobe Muse doesn’t output responsive code. I am planning on releasing a mobile version soon if that helps?
Hi lm new to muse and I’m struggling with the video elements as well as the background scrolling could you help?
Also, the videos are in a slideshow so if you only want one video, you can delete the others.
The way the videos are referenced are from a web server that I have uploaded the videos to. If you want to do the same, you will need to upload your video and change the link that i have with your new link.
If you are wanting to use a video from Youtube or Vimeo, you can replace the video code I have with the following:
As for the background scrolling, there are many tutorials on the muse site and on youtube that you can watch to get up to speed on the basics but if you have a specific question, please explain in detail and i’ll try to assist you
Thanks for the purchase!
This theme looks fantastic!
Do you have a timeframe for the mobile version of the website being complete?
Hi Summazing! Thanks for the kind word Let me see if I can get something out this week. I’ll let you know here when the update is posted.
I’m very interested in this theme, but mobile is a must for me. If I buy it now, and tomorrow you update it for mobile, will that update be available to me? Is it easy to re-customize an updated template (sorry, Muse noob )?
Those are really good questions! I am working on a mobile version so yes you will be able to download it when its done. As for updating, you can easily add a mobile version with no problems. If there are new features added to them in the future, you can simply add those to your modified version if you would like I am happy to help if you get stuck along the way as well.
I’m now a happy customer, on my way to a killer website!
