Hello! This looks like a fantastic theme, and I’m very close to buying it. But I was wondering if you have a demo account that I could log into the backend off to see if I will be able to modify the theme to suit my needs.
I mainly want to see how you’ve done the templating, and make sure it’s simple and easy for my client to use. (I really need to strip it right back for them!)
Sorry but we don’t have a demo available at this moment, but if you contact us via our contact form we can arrange something for sure
I cannot believe you mastered the traveling audio player. Have been waiting for one for years. Serious kudos!
I wish your theme had a shopping page setup, clickable slider and child themes. I would totally buy it, then, even at twice the price.
Keep up the great work!
Thank you for the kind words Not officially, but the theme works fine with WooCommerce so shopping pages can be added, and you can use shortcode based sliders. The them should also work well with child themes
Also, we have another music related theme, Rock Band. This has everything you need except for the persistent audio player
Thanks for your quick reply. The Musico documentation doesn’t list that child themes comes with it, so don’t follow how it would “work well with child themes”, unless… your suggesting a plug-in or something (I might be unfamiliar with)? Also, fyi, the “Create Beautiful Galleries” link under “At A Glance” in your live preview gives a 404. Still considering this one.
I think let’s clear up what child themes are Child themes are a function of WordPress, not themes. What child themes do, is allow developers to create new themes based on existing themes. For example, say you want a different header, but you want the rest of the site to be the same.
In this case you can create a child theme almost without files. You just copy the header file from our theme into your child theme, everything else is used from the parent theme. This allows you to update the parent theme (and this your site), without loosing changes.
So the theme doesn’t “come” with child themes, it supports their creation by not being badly coded
Thanks for noticing the broken link, it’s all fixed now
This would be my third WordPress site, and other themes I’ve purchased do include child themes to reduce the work of duplicating, locating and coding them properly, which is extremely helpful when one doesn’t know the subtleties of their new theme (or are WP first-timers).
After your response, I did find this site which discusses how to prepare a child theme oneself: http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/wordpress-child-themes-dev/.
Thanks so much for making me smarter about them.
Ah, I see what you mean, sorry for being a but of a dunce. We used to have a manual on our own site, we’ll put it back up soon!
We’ll also add a child theme example to our themes at some point to avoid confusion, thanks for the tip!
I purchased the theme; and find that I am now experiencing the same issue that Rudyland had:
When I click “Launch Player” I can load songs and play, but when I close the player, the music stops.
1) MUST HAVE: The Launch Player worked before. Then I re-uploaded songs with exact same names into the same folders (because the album’s in progress, so we’re updating the songs regularly), and now it quits playing music when the player is closed.
2) WOULD LOVE: I also wish there was an easier way to work with individual songs in the albums—a list underneath or something I can edit all in one place, rather than having the links all hidden to the media uploads, forcing them into the monthly folders structure. I tried the URL option, but it produced no positive result. We are a new band and are posting our songs as they progress, so expect a few versions before we go to press with it.
The site is www.ApparitionRailway.com.
Really appreciate anything you can do to at least fix #1? Thanks!
We’ve since fixed this issue as far as I know. Could I ask you to copy paste this issue into our contact form? That way I can send you the update and get back to you on the second issue
Will do… I tried that first, but both the links on the Musico page 404.
I would really like to know if your theme is compatible with WPML – The WordPress Multilingual Plugin or qTranslate?
Thank you for replying.
Kind Regards, Max
We built the theme with WPML in mind so it is definitely compatible with that
This theme rocks. It’s simple, so doesn’t scream for content; and functions better than hundreds of other band themes I looked at because…
it has a TRAVELING MUSIC PLAYER. Users can listen to your tunes uninterrupted as they surf your site. The Musico folks really ought to hype this function more… it’s an amazing feature I’ve been waiting for, for years (even tried building one with Flash).
Please don’t use this theme, though, if you’re a band? I really like having the edge over you. LOL.
Special thanks to Daniel, who answered all my questions until they were absolutely solved.
Thanks for the kind words If you need anything we’re here as always
Hi, how can I translate this theme? (without having to buy WPML?)
There theme should have the translation files (pot files) included in the languages directory.
You can use an application like Poedit to translate these files and then save the resulting mo files in the same folder.
There is no languages directory included in the downloaded theme files for Musico
Sorry about that, we must have missed something in our latest update. Could you drop me a line via our contact form and I’ll send you a new theme version
Is this theme 3.9 ready?
Yep, feel free to update. Envato hasn’t made 3.9 selectable yet, so we can’t indicate it on the sales page, sorry
Great work on the theme! I have a few pre-sale questions for you about it.
1. Can you have different background images per page or only 1 image for the entire site?
2. Can a music playlist be included with a product description? For example on your page http://musico.bonsaished.com/product/woo-album-2/ could a playlist of the album be included or is this a Woo Commerce limitation?
3. Is there a way to add the ability to purchase an entire album in your Albums section rather than each track individually like on your demo page http://musico.bonsaished.com/album/peak/? Also, what are the options for the Buy button for the individual tracks in the album playlists? I noticed your demo links to jamendo.com for each track. Is that the only option to link for track purchases? Thanks!
Don’t go near this theme. There are core issues with it, and the support team spends endless emails giving you the runaround for months.
I want to purchase this template but
I want to create a WP site for multiple bands
like sound cloud many bands profile will be there
each band will have followers and fans
and each band has there events , music section , gallery section also.

1.many bands profiles can be added
2.members profiles those can follow any band and other member
3.bands personal profile page has there musics, photos, videos

How can I change the footer text on www.bluewatercowboys.com.au where it says “Wordpress SEO Plugin by SEOPressor” to “Subsidiary or Adam Price Australia with the “Adam Price” part hyperlinked?
