Hi; thanks for the theme, it is great. I have a question about datatables in the theme.

I’m trying to use table “Data Table with Numbered Pagination”. And I’m using AngularJS and I’ve implemented the table as

<table id="corp-acc-table" class="mws-datatable-fn mws-table"> <thead> <tr> <th>Name</th> <th>Id</th> <th>Status</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <tr ng:repeat="account in allAccs" ng:click="selectAcc(account.accountId)" table-data-load-directive="acc-table" style="cursor:pointer;"> <td>{{account..name}}</td> <td>{{account.accountId}}</td> <td>{{account.status}}</td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

Because Angular feeds the real data after pageload, the table cannot create an index of the data to page or filter. So I’ve created a directive for AngularJS to call datatables function after load again. When Angular loads it’s data now it calls a function which triggers the below:

$( "corp-acc-table" ).dataTable();

Bu I get as result is “Default Data Table”, because I cannot add anything to dataTable function as parameter, and it gives me the default table. How can I overcome this? Do you have any idea?

Hi enginerenturk,

Unfortunately I don’t have any knowledge about AngularJS, why can’t you pass anything into the dataTable function?

Is it possible if you define the parameters as variables first?

Thanks

Hi nagaemas;

I solved the issue at last about the datatables. It was a stupid typo, i was passing {sPaginationType: "fullnumbers"} instead of {sPaginationType: "full_numbers"} . But thanks for the quick reply…

nagaemas

Glad you solved it :) Thanks for purchase again!

I’m trying to use the autocomplete functionality that comes within the template but for some reason it doesn’t seem to work.

Has anybody else come across this issue?

I haven’t mod’ed the template, but it also seems to be an issue coming from the downloaded zip file, and not something that I’ve added in whilst developing with the template.

nagaemas

Hi mattcollins171,

Thanks for reporting, this seems to be a mistake by me when upgrading to v2.1 recently :)

To fix this, just add the

.mws-autocomplete

class to the text input and the autocomplete will work again.

Thanks :)

Hello. I bought the theme and like it so far. I do have a short wish-list of course.

  • sparklines
  • google maps
  • jqvmap
  • a single image uploader

But thank you very much for your work!

Hi jimmy,

Thanks for the purchase! Updates for my templates will come soon (at the beginning of March probably), then I’ll be sure to integrate some new features :)

Best Regards

Is update to jQueryUI 1.10 planned? If so, are there any estimated dates?

nagaemas

Yes, it’s planned. At the beginning of March, all my themes will be updated.

Thanks :)

Hi! Just bought your template, but we can almost define it a framework! good job! a question: can you suggest us a script for the message system? for sure you could have taken inspiration somewhere…thanks! Andy

nagaemas

Hi,

Thanks for purchasing! Glad you like it :) For scripting message systems, you could check some PHP scripts online. But I recommend building it yourself so you have more flexibility.

If you need live chat, you can use this: http://ajaxim.com/

Thanks :)

I love this theme, but have noticed a small issue. On the left menu where you have collapsible menus, such as the “Forms” menu item and sub-items, they do not start closed nor will they stay closed if you go to another page. The app I am working on has a lot of sub-items and this makes it look messy.

Is there a way for it to… 1. Start in the closed state 2. Remember the state as the user clicks on different links to go to different parts of the site.

I have tried this on the demo, to make sure it was not something I had done.

Thanks

Never mind, read the faq. I guess it helps if I read. ;)

Hello,

Thanks for answering the last question I had, helped me a lot.

The new course, is a matter of printing, when I send a form to print he is one field in each line, I use the “Columned Form”. Becoming unusable.

Had any tips?

Thank you again.

nagaemas

Hi tuliogalli,

You’re welcome ;)

Print stylesheet is not included on this template, so printing the forms would be impossible without making any new stylesheets. Currently I don’t have any plans to make the print styles.

Thanks :)

Hi!

I’m looking to buy this template but I don’t understand the bootstrap implementation. It uses custom CSS classes (mws prefixed) and not the original bootstrap ones. Also, the css is too small from the original bootstrap, making me think that the framework is not fully implemented (less features). Can you explain this better?

nagaemas

Hi lucasfreitas,

Thanks for your interest! Actually this template is not really Bootstrap based from the core, but it only utilizes several Bootstrap widgets and components. Hence the size of the CSS and the additional class names :)

Thanks

Hi

Version 2.2 with RTL support – When the Release will be?

Waiting for that :)

nagaemas

Hi, can’t promise dates, I’ll try releasing 2.2 ASAP :) Thanks

I wish to use this theme panel for wordpress, do you have instruction resources that explain how to do that?

nagaemas

Hi Gbyte,

Integrating this into Wordpress requires you to have a deep knowledge of how Wordpress admin styling works. It might be possible, but it’s difficult.

Thanks :)

Hi;

I have a quick question. When I want to print a page with mws theme, I get a unpretty page to print. Is there a way to have a better print option? What can you suggest about this?

nagaemas

Hi engeinerenturk,

The stylesheets on this template all works for media=”screen” only. If you need to print it, just change all stylesheets ‘link’ tag to media=”all”.

But that will print the pages full with colors and styles, so if you need to print just the text, you could create an additional stylesheet that only targets media=”print”

Thanks :)

Hi,

Please ask your question in English :( Thanks

I need to customize the wizard button stops and steps (like preventing the step navigation on a certain step until an image has been cropped).

Where is the API documentation for the Wizard? Your provided documentation only says this:

Wizard

This plugin converts a set of form fields into a navigable wizard form with responsive layout. It can work together with jquery validation and form plugin seamlessly. The examples in this template show how this plugin can be implemented to work with those plugins. AJAX submission through this plugin is done via configuring the form plugin with its options which can be found in jQuery Form plugin’s official website and documentation here.

The Jquery Forms link you provide in that statement has no information about the ‘Wizard’ you implemented in this template, or it’s API. Looking at the wizard.js file in this template, it looks like a custom wizard made by you, and not this jQuery one at (http://thecodemine.org/), which has API documentation. I looked at their code examples as well and its class name is ‘formwizard’, not ‘wizard’ like yours, so it seems that these are not related at all.

So, how am I supposed to use this Wizard you made? I have no clue about what methods and options I can use without documentation. If there is no documentation, then please provide at least some examples using all the options available.

nagaemas

Hi lanrosta,

Indeed the wizard is a custom made wizard plugin because certain features are not available in other wizard plugins :)

What I said about the jQuery Form plugin is that it is utilized by this wizard to make AJAX form submissions, not that it has any relation with the integrated wizard plugin.

Regarding your problem, if you need to prevent the user from navigating away from a step before it’s finished, you can see in the example JS files how it is done with the jQuery validation plugin.

Just return false on the onStepLeave callback that you can specify when initializing the plugin. This callback accepts two arguments, wizard and step where wizard is the Wizard plugin instance, and step is the current fieldset wrapped in a jQuery object.

on your case, it would be checking whether the image has been cropped, if not then just return false when the user tries to navigate to an another step.

I hope that’s clear, and If you still have questions, just ask :)

Thanks

No way to edit posts here… Ok, I see the plugin options grid there, but is that it? Is there a way to prevent the user from changing steps during a single step by using the ‘onStepLeave’ or ‘onStepShown’ method? The particular fieldset I am using for this step is an image cropper and has no form element that validation can use on it that is logical. I need to prevent the steps until the user has cropped the image, then show the ‘Next’ button on the ‘onSelectChange’ method of the imgAreaSelect control.

Since I am on this topic, I also noticed there is no validation on the WYSIWYG controls, or the Select2 controls, or the Checkbox/Radio Slider controls. Is there a way to validate these?

nagaemas

Validating those controls can be easily done by just specifying the correct rules to the elements and the jQuery validation plugin :)

Thanks for the info Nagaemas. I have been going through the wizard.js, .html and demo.js files thoroughly, it helps some, but figuring out the exact calls in the html Jquery scripts is a bit vague without some examples of use (besides calling the form validation. In my case, I really need a way to determine what step the user is on when they click the navigation or ‘prev’ or ‘next’ buttons, which I’d like to retrieve in the onStepLeave function. How can I get the current ‘step’ info so I can do conditionals on that (like return false if on a certain step). I tried numerous things using the wizard and step parameters, but nothing has worked to retrieve the current step.

nagaemas

Hi lanrosta,

You could access the active step from the second argument of the onLeaveStep function. Then based on the steps’ attribute like a particular classname, you could determine your action.

The onLeaveStep accepts two arguments,
function onLeaveStep( wzdInstance, currentStep )

Thanks :)

Hi, it’s great that you included Twitter bootstrap in latest release, but it’s not full featured bootstrap. I miss Alert component (http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/components.html#alerts) do you plan to implement all of Bootstrap features?

nagaemas

Hi svakak,

Sorry for the late reply, An update for this template will come soon, then I’ll be adding some new features and components into it :)

Thank you for purchase anyways!

Ok I’m completely stumped by the wizard. I have now spent hours trying to figure out how to us it but with no luck.

var $submittedData var url; $( '.wzd-ajax' ).wizard({ buttonContainerClass: 'mws-button-row', onStepLeave: function(wizard, step) { return $wzd_v1_form.form(); }, onBeforeSubmit: function(formData) { $submittedData = formData['element'][0]['id'] serialisedData = $('#'+$submittedData).serializeArray(); for (var key in serialisedData) { if(serialisedData[key]['name'] === 'link'){ url = serialisedData[key]['value']; } } }, ajaxSubmit: true, ajaxOptions: { dataType: 'text', type: "POST", url: url, beforeSubmit: function(formData) { alert( 'You\'re about to submit:\n\n' + $.param(formData) ); return true; }, success: function(response, status, xhr, form) { alert(response) } } });

The code that I have tried to make is above.

A little explanation of what I’m trying to do. I have a hidden field in the form, this has a link which I would like to use as the link to the php that will process the form data (this way I can have one bit of Javascript for all form wizards). However I just don’t know how to get the ajaxOptions to work.

Please could you help me.

nagaemas

Hi mattcollins171,

It seems in your case, that you have to set the url option of the ajaxOptions to the url you got on the onBeforeSubmit function. The onbeforesubmit does not receive the formData as its arguments, but instead the wizard instance and the form.

the onBeforeSubmit’s function signature is like this:
function(wizard, form);

Here you could try accessing the ajaxOptions after you got the url, then modify the ajaxOptions accordingly, in short here’s what you can do:

function onBeforeSubmit(wizard, form)
{
   var url = function_toget_url();
   wizard.options.ajaxOptions.url = url;
}

For more about the ajaxOptions you should see the jquery.form plugin documentation. It has everything about the form plugin that’s used by the plugin to make ajaxRequests.

Here’s the link to the documentation: http://www.malsup.com/jquery/form/

Thanks :)

Hi, does this theme work with jquery ui or with twitter bootstrap. i am looking for a theme that soley works with jquery ui

nagaemas

Hi gerek,

Yes this theme uses jQuery-UI and bootstrap, but only for some components. The template itself is build using custom code.

Thanks :)

I am thinking about purchasing this template, however there are a few features I’d like to have that I don’t see. Are any of these planned for the future releases or has anyone out there added these before?

- Sortable table rows or grid/panel boxes or list of some kind (I noticed the calendar was drag and droppable, but nothing else!) - Disable a panel and/or form where entire panel is greyed out and unclickable/unsubmitable (rather than just one form field)

Also, a weird error I saw: - The Modal Dialog and Form don’t apply the grey background to the entire page in Chrome until the window is resized

Great theme, though. I will be buying in the near future either way!

nagaemas

Hi silentstone7,

Thanks for your interest in this template :) About the features, I’m currently not planning any draggable elements for the next update. But for the future releases I’ll think about it. And about the error with the dialogs, it doesn’t happen on my side (I’m using Google Chrome 25).

Best Regards
