Hello. This is awesome. One question. I read that you are preparing v2.2 and i want to begin coding my admin for my web project but i am thinking to wait for the new version before i get started. Do you have a milestone for it? (ETA) will it be easy to update from 2.1 to 2.2? tnx

nagaemas

Hi frozenxis,

Thanks for the kind words! I’m preparing v2.2, but this could be slightly delayed until end of March. So I recommend you just start with your project, the new update anyway will only contain bug fixes and library version bumps so it won’t be too hard to upgrade.

Thanks :)

Hi,

I have a little problem, the file bellow contain no spaces or line break. I use notepad++

I have tried to re-download the file but it’s the same.

and the file is… (sorry)

jquery.dataTables.min

Thank you.

nagaemas

Hi drps,

That file is the minified version of jquery.dataTables. It’s purpose is to make the script file size smaller.

The full source code is actually also available in the same folder :)

Thanks

Hi! regards my last un-replied post, we solve the active stuff…just how to close the menu initially but left open when a sub-menu is selected remains an unsolved question. Thanks!

nagaemas

Hi colevr,

Sorry for the late reply, I was busy and missed your comment :( Really sorry about that, now let me answer your question…

Are you coding your website in pure HTML, or with some PHP/backend script?

If you’re using some backend script, then you can set the classnames and logic for the menu items using programmatically.

If it’s pure HTML, then you’ll need an additional javascript that can detect whether one of it’s child menus is open. If it’s open, then you should put the ‘open’ class on the parent menu.

The child menu ‘open’ state however, needs to be determined using your backend script, or by using a cookie to save the menu states.

If you need to use cookies, then consider using the jquery cookie plugin: https://github.com/carhartl/jquery-cookie

Thanks :)

Ok, your form wizard is driving me mad here! If I add a file upload field the wizard no longer sends the last step (the final submit part, I’m using three steps in my form). It also does not send any error or even warnings in Firebug when submitting the form. So it’s really hard to tell what is holding it up. Why does the file upload break the wizard? I spent a whole day trying to find and resolve this issue due to lack of debugging info and the form post not working.

It would also be nice if the wizard had a way to control the display/hide additional buttons (like a ‘cancel’ button). plUpload works fine in the Wizard, but a standard file upload field does not. I need to force the user to upload only 1 file and plUpload is not the best choice for this situation. Do you have any suggestions, or a quick example of how I can use a standard file input field in the Wizard you made?

nagaemas

Do you use the provided jQuery form plugin for your ajax submission? Actually seeing your case I don’t think there would be any problem if you just submit the filename via a hidden field. do your browser actually make a request to your AJAX script when submitting the form? You can check this on the ‘Network’ tab if you’re using Google Chrome Dev Tools. Firebug should have that network tab also.

If no request is being made, then it should be a problem on my plugin’s code. But let me check your page first, I’ll be waiting on your message.

Thanks

Thanks for the ‘Network’ tab tip. That helped me find the issue. I was using the Console/Error/Warnings view.

The file field was causing the wizard to fail because the file data was being passed along with the AJAX final submit POST.

What I did to solve this issue was to hide() the AjaxFileUploaderV2.1 stuff (it’s more than just a file input, there is css to emulate a file input) and remove() the file input (by id) once the file has been uploaded. This removes the file field from the form Wizard (I already have the file uploaded and the name of the file to submit), and now it works perfectly.

nagaemas

Hi,

Glad you solved the issue :) If there are more questions, feel free to ask me again.

@ colevr : It appears the menu can have submenus, but they do not ‘fly-out’ to the right like one would expect, or handle tabbing to the right for submenus either. So, you would have to create custom CSS and javascript to accomplish this, or replace the menu with a working one that does function as expected already.

For highlighting menus that indicate which page you are on, you will need to use javascript, or either PHP or other server side script in your pages to indicate a value for the page the user is on, and then use conditionals in your html menu code to change the css for the menu item that matches the page value we are on…

Using the dashboard page as an example: we rename dashboard html to dashboard.php then add this to the top of the page:

<?php $menu_item="dashboard"; ?>

Here, we are using a PHP variable called $menu_item to assign the value we want this page to be called (it should likely be similar to the name of the page or page title as well).

In navigation.html, we need to use PHP here as well, so name it navigation.php and add this PHP code to the menu item like this:

<li if="" echo="" class="active"> ><a href="dashboard.php"><i class="icon-home" /> Dashboard</a></li>

Now, whenever you are on the dashboard.php page, the menu item knows this and can deliver the class=’active’ property to make it highlighted.

If you want other menu items to not be shown then add other conditionals in your navigation file. For example this will expand only the menu for the section we are in and other sections submenus will be collapsed… in this case an ‘Events’ subsection:

<li if="" echo="" class="active">> <a href="#"><i class="icon-sound" /> Events </a> <?php if ($menu_item == "events"){ echo("<ul class="\"open\"">"); } else { echo("<ul class="\"closed\"">"); }?> <li class="active"><a href="events.php">All Events</a></li> <li><a href="events_add.php">Add Event</a></li> </ul> </ul></li>

Here’s another tip: The first thing I did with the entire template package was convert all pages from .html to .php, so I could start working with them using PHP as the backend. To do this easily and handle all the path renaming to files, I used Dreamweaver’s file manager as it will ask if you want to update the path locations when you move or rename a file and keeps them working intact when you do. I then renamed any files that were necessary as ‘includes’ prefixes to an ‘inc_navigation.php’ format, so they are all in one place and reusable across all the pages I am going to create (or the demo pages). then just include them in the spot you need them in your page:

<?php include('inc_navigation.php'); ?>

An another note… Dear admins, Wish this was an ‘actual’ forum board that allowed for comments or replies per topic so I didn’t have to separate this into a different post and the actual poster could receive an email from my reply towards it, preview post before submit, etc. There’s so many free Forum tools now, I can’t believe it’s not here on theme forest!

Let me notify him about this :) Private support forum for my themes is coming up actually.

Thank you for the help :)

Cool. There are several ways to handle his issue, including a JQuery solution. I thought I’d point out how I handled it because it was an issue for me at first too. Typically, that is what forums are for, to help others with similar issues. But, it’s your product. You may want to post a sticky though so others know not to post their solutions or advice on here.

I also have a sortable rows solution that I figured out using the dataTables for this theme. There was a recent post regarding this as well that I was going to respond to. My solution actually sorts the rows and stores this info for each row in a mySQL database table when the user is ready to’Save’ the sort order. I spent a good amount of time figuring all that out (which is money to most of us that develop).

Hi nagaemas,
if you are planning 2.2 update I suggest latest bootstrap version, because I ‘ve fixed lot of things on mobile devices, for example:
dropdown links not working (used for notification and messages in top bar, seems to be important for this theme!).
Other things I find useful on all devices and desktops are some fixes for tooltips used on buttongroups.
Actually seems I’ve already fixed this issues, but I’ll be more sure if you will do it :D
When is next update?
Thanks again for this great theme!

nagaemas

Hi jacopoemoroso,

Thank you for the suggestion!

I’ll be updating the theme and release it at last in April :) Then all plugins and bootstrap will be automatically bumped to their latest versions.

Thank you :)

Daterange Picker – Widget – is not working. I want to buy, but this widget must be working.

nagaemas

Hi,

Thanks for purchase :) Replace the timepicker plugin inside with this version, then the problem will be fixed:

okay perfect, but css is fail

nagaemas

Hi,

Which CSS is failing?

Thanks

Hi & thanks for theme,

It has helped me to learn a lot over the last few weeks, and has encouraged me to keep developing my idea.

However, I cannot, for the life of me get the jQuery UI Dialog to work… After many hours trying to fudge up a solution, I literally copied and pasted the code from the demo into my own work to see if I could get it working… to no avail…

The contents of the dialog box just shows up underneath the buttons.. here is an image – any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

nagaemas

Hi jessekras,

Very sorry for the delayed reply :(

First of all thanks for purchase! Glad you like it :)

It seems you haven’t initialized the dialog properly on the element you want your dialog to appear, or the JS files isn’t loaded correctly on your page.

Try looking at the Developer Console (in Google Chrome this can be found in the developer tools) if there are any JS errors.

If you need a more in-depth documentation about jQuery-UI, you could go check their website: http://www.jqueryui.com

If none of this helps, please send me a sample of your page then I’ll try looking at it for you :)

Best Regards

Hi there…I just purchased this template…I loved it but when I was going through the live version, I thought that all the different files and tabs will be in psd but only one page is available as psd …

Am I missing anything…

nagaemas

Hi, sonu_siha1,

Thanks for purchasing :) Yes, the provided psd file is only for the main layout and elements. Eveything else is designed on the browser :) If you need anything else, just let me know.

Best Regards

I have found an issue with the gallery if the users are using Internet Explorer (tested 8,9,10). When you click to bring up an image it does the following…

You notice the navigation where it would normally show the other grouped pictures is blanked. You can click in the blank area and it will switch to them, you just can’t see them.

I have verified that it does this on the demo as well to make sure it was not just due to any modifications that I made.

I would appreciate a way to fix this.

nagaemas

Hi clintre,

This is a conflict between Bootstrap’s reset styles and prettyPhoto. Add this CSS style to fix this:

.pp_gallery ul a img {
    width: 50px;
}

Alternatively, you could try this plugin here: http://dimsemenov.com/plugins/magnific-popup/

Far better, responsive and fast :) I’m planning to integrate this into the upcoming release.

Thanks :)

Hi,

How do I use the datatables with tabletools?

I am planning to buy your theme for my web application which will have a lot of users.each user will be using it as sub domain site where they can change themes etc.My question is which license should i buy? a single user or an extended license?

nagaemas

Hi maneeshek,

Refer to the table on this page here: http://themeforest.net/licenses

Do you need to sell the product that you’re building? Do your users need to pay to use your web app as a service? If yes, then you’ll need the extended licence. If the web app is free to access you’ll need the regular licence.

Thanks :)

Hi Clintre,

When the v2.2 will be release because i am interesting in RTL support.

There is the globalization folder included with the datepicker inside the jquery-ui folder. Just include the file you need on your page should do the job.
