I’m having trouble using links in the drop downs in the main header. When i hover over the links it looks like it will send me to another url, but it just closes out of the drop down and stays on the same page.
Hi ndsconnect,
The message and notification dropdown in the examples are made to not link to anything. You should change them yourself to point to your desired page. They were made just to ease the display of messages and notifications.
Here’s an example:
Thank you
Hello there!
Very nice template! I have few questions for you before I purchase this.
1) Would you be able to add a top navigation menu as suppose to the left one? 2) Could the left one be made to hide by a toggle button? 3) Will I be getting future upgrades for free? 4) I have 3 sites I would like to use this template (All part of a single domain – 3 sub-domains), so what kind of license is required? 5) Do you give out all the required php files? 6) Would it support the latest and the greatest java scripts.
Last but not least, if I would like you to do some custom works on this template are you available? If so how would you charge?
Please let me know. Thanks!
Nikkee
Hi Nikke,
Thank you for your interest in my template
1. Yes, you can add an additional navigation menu on the top, but this will need extra work because then it will not be displayed correctly on mobile devices.
2. Yes, you can customize it to have a toggle button. You mean hiding the whole side navigation right?
3. Yes, you can always download the newest updates from ThemeForest everytime I upload a new version.
4. You should contact Envato for this. What I know so far is that a single license it intended for use only on one website/project.
5. No, this template doesn’t include any php files. This is a pure HTML template.
6. Yes, this template is using the latest version of jQuery, the most popular javascript library. But it all depends on your browser
About custom works, you can contact me via email
Thank you very much
I really like the look of this template.
However, the login screen is over 250k to download into the browser. What are the minimum .css, .js files necessary for the login screen to work and run?
Hi sstrangee,
You can exclude most of the scripts for the login screen.
What you need to include is just jquery, jquery-ui (required for the shake effect, just don’t include it if you don’t need it), jquery validation library and 8 css files (reset, text, font, login, button, form, core, theme).
In total they are 399k. The heavy side lies on jquery-ui, because the script itself is 191k. You can remove this if you don’t want the shake effect, or separate the jquery-ui effects library into a separate file.
If you want, I can minimize the login scripts as small as possible.
Thank you
Thanks!
I have removed a majority of them for the login screen and gotten it down to about 209k.
However, I’m interested in seeing how much smaller it can get.
The shake effect isn’t necessary, however, there must be another way to inform the user that something went wrong. Is there a way to make something like the error message appear above/below the login box?
If worse comes to worse, I can just put in the form like designed.
Wow, I’m suprised that it can actually get down to 65k!
You’re welcome
Thanks!
I was able to get the login screen down to 65k! This is actually very good for me.
Thanks again for your help!
Hi,
Just purchased this admin template simply because it is the most good-looking and comprehensive one, and the mobile version was a key feature for me.
However just one quick question about the mobile version: it looks like it uses all the same images and files than the standard version. The problem I see with this is that it’s not very bandwidth friendly, that would be great to have a very lightweight version for the mobile version (maybe as an option). What do you think about this and do you have any ideas to help me accomplish that with your files?
Thank you and great work!
Hi Stitch,
Thank you for purchasing my template
The mobile version uses the the same images, but those images are actually very small (about 36.5kb excluding the icons).
The heavy side lies on the javascript plugins that are included. Maybe you can try removing the scripts you don’t need and compress the css files
If you want I can help you pointing out which scripts you’ll need in your project.
Someone has already managed to get the login screen as small as 65k in size, you can read more about it on the previous comments page.
Also, on the next update, I’ll try optimizing all image sizes.
Regards
Thanks for your quick answer and info. About the image size, 203ko are loaded on the main dashboard page, it’s much more than 36ko. You have some simple icons like message-success.png that weights 49ko because they contain lots of metadata, while they could weight 1ko by exporting them through web export in photoshop. So yes, in your next release it would be nice to optimize image sizes
Apart from that, the themer plugin is great to change the admin colors, and the documentation is well furnished.
Congratulations for a great work.
Hi Stitch,
Thank you for your advice, I’ll surely optimize the images on the next update.
Also I’m glad that the documentation is actually well furnished, I was wondering if it actually was good enough
Thank you very much!
Hey Is there something i can do to the css to get my menu and footer to always extend to the bottom of the screen. Tried body height 100% – no luck.
I have a minimal menu on certain pages and the content has a short height. The result is my menu ends halfway down my screen and the footer sits in the middle of my screen (on a 23” screen). Makes the page look empty and incomplete.
Hi mcassim,
I created a test page with only three menu items and no content, but the footer stays at the bottom of the screen, even in IE.
Maybe you haven’t downloaded my latest version yet?
Thank you
Figure this problem out. In case anyone else runs into this problem.
In an ASP application you have your form tag straight after your body tag. In IE this form tag distorts some css (see- http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7415561/css-distorting-on-adding-form-tag)
To fix this set your form tag to style=”height:100%;width:100%”
Well thanks for the info
Well thanks for the info
Thank you for all your help yesterday.
you’re welcome
bug clicking the login really fast many time causes it to jump to the left corner
I don’t think this needs a fix, because normally no one will click a button very fast.
Thank you.
Hi, we cant configure the filemanager connector.php file simple from lack of knowledge. We visit the link to the wiki on your help page, but we just have no clue. Can you help us?
Hi benhaley,
Yes, I can help you with the filemanager. What’s your problem?
Thank you
Hi, the template looks very nice. Great work!
I tried opening the demo page from my iPhone but it did not load as advertised? Is there anything I am doing wrong?
Here is a screenshot to how it looks at my side: http://postimage.org/image/zcmvc9gvd/
Hi tarabichi,
Are you using iphone 4?
If so, then it must be because of its retina display. But thanks for notifying me, I’ll look into this issue.
Regards
I tried it on a physical 3gs and on an iOS simulator with same results.
Hi, is it an iPhone 4? I tried this on my Android phone, and it displays correctly. Also, someone with an iPhone has already tried it and he had no problems.
An iOS simulator would probably not display it correctly because it will interpret it to display like on a computer browser.
Sorry, I misunderstood.
I can’t check the iOS simulator because I don’t have a Mac.
But after some searching I don’t know what is wrong to have this template displaying incorrectly. I tried opening this on Adobe Device Central, and it displays correctly.
Does it display correctly on your browser if you resize it?
Thanks
Yes, resizing the browser works properly. I tried the iOS simulator to test it on iPhone 4 with retina display. However, my initial test was on a physical iPhone 3gs and it did not show up properly.
Well, this really confuses me.
Maybe it’s caused by the ThemeForest frame on top of the page. Does it work if you remove the frame?
Yes, the ThemeForest frame on the top was the culprit. Thanks for your support.
You’re welcome
Hello again!
How can I start all navigation with left pane colapsed?
Kind Regards, Erick
Hello again erickengelhardt,
Just add the class ‘closed’ to the second level ul tag: Code Example:
Thank you
Hello again.
Is it possible to have a button that scrolls in the background when you click it? After I click the Login button, sometimes the database takes a long time to get back to from an Ajax call. Is there a background we can put in the Login that would indicate to the user that it’s doing something?
See www.soundcloud.com on their login button for example of what I am talking about.
Another good example using jquery: http://jsfiddle.net/brennan/mcYKE/, but this doesn’t work in IE.
Hello there,
No it isn’t possible without customizing the template
But you can customize the buttons like you pointed at jsfiddle. Just insert the code in /css/core/buttons.css, and there you go
You can also try prettyLoader, a simple plugin that shows ajax calls:
http://www.no-margin-for-errors.com/projects/prettyloader/Thanks..
before buying, is there a nice way to display “incorrect logged in details” in the login page viewing source of the demo, seems like “shaking” is the only way to do it
Hi toink,
Beside shaking, there’s also a red border surrounding the input fields when an error occured.
If you want, you can also add the error message like in form validations on top of the login page. You just need to add one line of code on the login page, and remove one line of code in the login script.
Regards
Again, congratulations on your great work.
Best Regards, Everton Gomes
Hi everton,
Thanks for purchasing my template, and I’m glad that you like it
Your suggestions will be added to my to do list for the next version.
Thank you very much!

The left menu does not show up at all on my iPod Touch (which is basically the same thing as an iPhone without the phone). It is not at the top, bottom, left or right. How do you navigate the site without the menu? Here are a couple of screenshots showing what it looks like …

Hi, scottexpo,
The left menu is made not to show up on the left in a mobile device.
Did you notice the arrow beside the search bar? If you click on it, the menu will show up.
Thanks and regards
Oh, I see how it works now … but how does anybody know to do that? Here is what I did to make it easier for all to use …

Hi,
Yes, I was also thinking whether it was clear for everyone that the menu can be displayed by clicking the arrow.
Thanks for your feedback, I’ll improve this in my next update

Hello. I am creating web for my client. I can use this template for this client to manage his web (which I created)?
Marian
Hi marian,
Yes, you can use this template for your client’s website backend. With this template, you can easily integrate any function you want for your website.
Thanks
Hello. Thanks, this template is very nice. But… How change size font in WYSIWYG editor?
Marian
Hi marian80,
The font size option in the WYSIWYG editor is disabled in this template’s demo files. You can enable them by setting the toolbar option in the WYSIWYG editor startup code.
see ‘js/demo.formelement.js’, and there you’ll find an option like:
You’ll need to change this to either one of the following:
tiny: only buttons to change text style (bold, italic, underline, strike, subscript, superscript)
compact: the same as tiny + save, undo/redo, text alignment, list, link, fullscreen
normal: compact + copy/paste, colors, paddings, block-elemet, images
complete: normal + text size, style and font formating maxi: complete + tables
See this link here for more info:

Hi. Thanks. I would like change default language, but change lang : ‘en’, to lang : ‘sk’, in js/demo.formelement.js don’t work.
Marian
Hi,
To change the default language, you need to add the necessary javascript file. Check the folder ‘plugins\elrte\js\i18n’ and see if your language is there, include that javascript file and change your defaul language.
Thank you
Hi. Yes, I have the file “elrte.sk.js” in this folder and include javascript file in page, but don’t work.
Please, help me
Marian
I think it will work if you set it your language to ‘cs’ instead of ‘sk’.
I don’t know why it’s ‘cs’ instead of ‘sk’, but if you look in the elrte.sk.js, it’s ‘cs’
Thank you
