Hello- I am gettiing the error message below. I do not have a .zip file for just the theme like I usually get when I buy a theme from ThemeForrest, all I have that is in a .zip file is the Themeforest main file. usually I open it and there is a antoher .zip file which is the one I upload… I am going to use Avada theme as main theme. Where can I find the mobile .zip file? Thanks

Unpacking the package…

Installing the theme…

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

Theme install failed.

Hi,

You should install in wordpress the folder “my-mobile-page-v3” . This folder can be found after unziping the main archive you have downloaded.

If this folder does not have a zip, and you want to upload it using the wordpress interface, and not the FTP programm, just make a zip from this folder only. You can call the zip my-mobile-page-v3_wordpress.zip for example

It will work fine, don’t worry, it’s used by a lot of users with success.

Regards.

OK, I just purchased your theme….I am using this as a standalone WP install…the clients website is html so I am just putting this in a m.customerdomain.com wordpress folder.

Two immediate questions…. 1)How do I get rid of the My Mobile Page V3 in the header graphic? I put in title text and a logo on the general settings. 2)How do I get those graphical nav buttons like you example?

Hi,

Using the theme on a separate domain it’s a good idea. Like this you can manage the mobile content separatelly and easily.

1. What header graphic? The font end one from the slider area. Or the title in the admin section? Please let me know exactly.

2. To create the menu, use the Menu items tab in the admin. And you can use our icons, they are included in the images folder. Just add each one under each menu entry you will create.

Hope the rest of the thing are fixed right?

Regards.

When I copy and paste my mobile site URL on facebook post “My Mobile Page Version 3 Template” text is included at the bottom of the post. This does not happen when I post other URLs. I have looked through all theme files and there is no mention of the above text. How do I fix this problem? Thanks

FamousThemes

Hi,

That is the Meta header description of your wordpress.

Open header.php file and right on the top lines you will see that text

<meta name="description" content="My Mobile Page Version 3 Template" />

Or you edit/delete that line, or you install a SEO plugin and you edit the META options from there.

Thanks for help. Followed your directions but the problem was still there. Root cause is related to Facebook caching pages from previous posts. Fix is posted here. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9026448/how-can-i-force-facebook-to-purge-its-cache-and-use-newer-meta-description-of-a

Hi is it possible to just use the home page and then when they click on about my original theme comes up?

FamousThemes

Hi,

Yes, just link you about page to the desktop website url. As you saw in admin each icon from the menu can be linked to any url.

But depends on what redirect method are you using, if you are using one. Or using the theme on separate url like m.yourwebsite.com

$about = get_page_by_title( ‘about’ ); update_option( ‘page_on_front’, $about->ID ); update_option( ‘show_on_front’, ‘page’ );

Hi where about do i paste this into?

FamousThemes

Hi,

Just read the FAQ section on item supprt tab

Here is a copy of that:

1. On the mobile theme functions.php file you will need to add

update_option( ‘show_on_front’, ‘posts ’ );

This will set on the mobile theme as home page “the latest posts”, meaning the theme will use index.php file as home page. The page we need to have on home page the slider images and navigation icons.

But that line of code will change also the home page of your desktop theme.

2. On your desktop theme functions.php file you will have to add

$about = get_page_by_title( ‘about’ ); update_option( ‘page_on_front’, $about->ID ); update_option( ‘show_on_front’, ‘page’ );

“about” must be your custom page name that you are using as home page on your desktop theme.

So that must be added to your desktop theme functions.php file.
