Hi again. Is there any reason my Portfolio page will not display the Next and Back buttons to cycle through it? As you can see if you click into the portfolio images, there are several:

Thank you so much for bearing with me. It seems like I’m fixing things right after I make a comment here.

BUT now there is one thing that is REALLY something I cannot fix. I have 18 Portfolio Posts but the Prev and Next buttons don’t go past the first 12.

If you look at the Source Code for http://inkerbelle.com/?page_id=11 you can see there are 18, but the Next button stops at 12.

In the portfolio_template.php I tried stuffing six more numbers into the $numbers array sequence and added on to those $counter == but that does not work either.

Is there something in the javascript that is preventing this?

I can deal with only 12 Portfolio Posts but I’d love to be able to add more!

please open portfolio-template.php file and find this code (about line 23):

if ($counter == 1 || $counter == 7 )echo '<div class="page-portfolio">';</div>

now change to :

if ($counter == 1 || $counter == 7 ||  $counter == 13 || $counter == 19  || $counter == 25 ) echo '<div class="page-portfolio">';</div>

also change this code (about line 33) :

&lt;?php if ($counter == 6 || $counter == 12 ) echo '</di?&gt;';?&gt;

to :

<?php if ($counter == 6 || $counter == 12 ||   $counter == 18 ||  $counter == 24) echo '</di?>';?>

Is there a way to have the slider get pictures from images rather than posts? I am using this more for static pages than a blog.

sure it’s can be done, but you have to change the code for slideshow to using static images url.

now you can replace the text with your own text.

please open slideshow.php file and remove all code inside

now add your images slideshow list like this :

Hi, I bought the theme and it looks very great and professional. However, when you click on a thumb in the portfolio, it got maximized. How can I remove this effect and the thumbs become not click-able.

for images slideshow style1 the size is 263×287 pixel and for style2 is 809×287 pixel.

The code works great, thanks alot. I am sorry but I found another issue when loading the site through Chroma.

When I activate the slideshow (style 02), it does not load when the site first launch. When I navigate to other pages and then return to the first page, the slide show loads fine.

hello, for quick fixed please download nivo-slider library, you can download it from http://nivo.dev7studios.com/ the overwrite the old jquery.nivo.slider.pack.js with new one.

First congratulation for the template. I am using it in my blog http: // blog.almacenplantillasweb.es and have met the problem of which, when I include a widget with tags or categories, the links goes to the home page with every post and doesn’t show the post correspondents to this tags or categories. I have installed other templates to check if the problem was in my Wordpress’s installation (v 2.9.2) but with them it me works correctly. Does it design someone? Thanks

Hi Indonez,

Is it possible to edit the English names to other names (to my language) we’d like to edit to?

Examples would be “Welcome to MyGen Company The Power of Simplicity” and “Take your Business to another Level”, the contact form names in the Contact page, etc. I always have trouble editing these bits in other themes because I don’t know which files to edit.

for now the theme does not support for translation, so you need to edit manually from template files.

When you answered to another poster (moneymouth) in the previous page about slideshow.php so he could have 3 images each one linking to 3 different pages (replacing the code with the one you showed there):

1 – Slideshow.php is one of the files that comes with Mygen?

2 – By putting the code into slideshow.php and then creating a page, you would have to create 3 “thumbnails” as custom fields in that page for it to work? (pages, not posts)

yes you are right, slideshow file is one of mygen file, for slideshow you just need to add thumbnail custom field for each pages/posts that you want to use as slideshow.

Hi Indonez,

This is a beautiful theme, and I’m glad I bought it. Does it have a documentation guide on how to make certain changes.

I’m having trouble getting rid of “welcome to mygen” under the home button & is there a way to make the color orange actually orange as it looks more yellow then anything.

Hi runasv,

basically the welcome text is just default placeholder text, you can change it by adding your own site tags from in theme options => Homepage tab => Site Tags Field.

if you want to change the color code please open orange.css file that located in css/styles folder, you can replace #e7a903 color code with your own.
