Hello,

I’m trying to display my galleria images at real image size, but it seems that the width option of [galleria_images] has no effect on that. In this previous comment, you mentioned that the galleria fills all of its container. Then if image width is constrained by its container, of what use is the width option ? (Sorry for my English) In this example, the image size should be 786×279 (i.e. its real size) but the actual size is 1150×421. Even with shortcodes like [two_third], I can’t get real size…

Thank you!

e404

The ’width’ parameter is used for scalling bigger images (to make them load faster). The Galleria shortcodes always fill the whole container (they have the width of 100%) – otherwise they won’t be responsive.

The two_third column has the width of 770 px, so it should be best for your images.

Within 2 tabs, I have 2 different (galleria) galleries. It appears that only one will show. Is it possible to have multiple galleria galleries?

Also, I get the following error on galleria galleries: “Fatal error: Could not extract a stage height from the CSS. Traced height: 0px.” I did establish a width and height for the galleria gallery.

Yes, it’s possible to have multiple Galleria galleries. You problems are probably caused by an incorrect image URL.

Hi, i get this error from galleria: “Fatal error: Stage width or height is too small to show the gallery. Traced measures: width:430px, height: 45px” only on Safari for Mac and Safari for iPhone. This is my (opening) short code:

This is the site: http://www.residenzalapiana.it

There is an incorrect height parameter provided for the Galleria script. Did you modify the Galleria shortcode?

Synaestesia

I made a little tweak, but now I’ve replaced the mod file shortcodes.php in the inc directory with the original version. The shortcode is: galleria_images thumbnails=”false” slideshow=”true” image_crop=”false” height=”50” width=”344”

e404
e404 Author

Now everything works fine on Safari, but the height of 50px is too small for iPhone (remember that gallery needs to be scalled down a little to fit a smaller screen). Besides, your gallery has the width of 570 px, not 344 px.

Hello,

Please help.

Hi there,

I have your documentation open and also imported your demo content, but I can’t see a better way to be able to use the Galleria to display my galleries. I won’t know the links of each image and the client will also update the galleries himself in future.

Is there no way to use the normal Wordpress gallery section and just have it display as the galleria slideshow?

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards, Jhorene

e404

To make a label inside a text box you need to use the placeholder option when creating your form in CF7 – take a look at this screenshot.

To make email fields look like other text fields you need to add the following code to the theme’s functions.php file:
add_filter( 'wpcf7_support_html5', '__return_false' );

To fix the shortcode generator please download this file, unpack it and upload the unpacked file into the theme’s ‘inc’ folder.

The Galleria shortcode ([galleria]) displays images attached to a page, so you don’t need to know image URLs. Just attach images to a page and do not insert them into the page content.

Thank you for the quick answer – it all works!

Just one last question, how do i set the Galleria to not crop my pictures and to display the portrait images nicely as well? Not all my photos are landscapes.

Regards, Jhorene

e404

You need to use the ‘image_crop’ param, for example:

[galleria image_crop="false"]

Columns are not designed to be used inside tabs. But you can easily adjust them – you just need to change their width. For example, to adjust one_half and one_third columns add the following code to the Custom CSS box (Theme Options -> Styling Options):
.tab_content .one_half { width: 520px; }
.tab_content .one_third { width: 350px; }

I’m trying to use the galleria_images shortcode to make a gallery section on my site. I’d like to include the thumbnails but it seems as if it covers the lower part of the image. Is there a way to get the thumbnails bar to start at the end of the bottom of the image and not overlap? I have copy in that bottom 60px section.

Do you mean something like on this page? If so, this is how thumbnails look by default.

The easiest way is to use the ‘orderby’ param in the Galleria shortcode, for example:
[galleria orderby="date" order="DESC"]

Hi, can I create two different, separate portfolio categories on the main menu? I don’t want the pages under them mix together. Is the Gallery with Galleria only supports landscape photos? Does it has a maximum number of image I can add to the gallery?

e404
e404 Author

You can add links to portfolio categories to the main menu.

The Galleria script can display any images, so by customizing the Galleria gallery size you can use it to display portrait images. It does not have a maximum number of images, but this number should be reasonable.

This problem is caused by the following code in your website header:
<script type="text/javascript">jQuery(document).ready(function() { jQuery("#galleria-1").galleria({ thumbnails: true, autoplay: 3000, responsive: true, imageCrop: false, height: 0.5983 });jQuery(".galleria-container").css("background", "");});</script>

I don’t know where it came from – it shouldn’t be there. Did you modify the theme header file? If you didn’t, please send me your WP admin panel login and password – I’ll take a look at this issue.

Hi,

Please be so kind and give me a few details about the way some shortcodes are working:

1) I’m trying to use the gallery with custom images from http://e404themes.com/natural/shortcodes/images/. The size is written width=”610” height=”462” but the actual size is bigger. How can I control the dimensions?

2) Can I display name on pictures by using the gallery above? (the shortcode has picture names after the link but they are not displaying)

3) Can I link the pictures from the gallery above to a page?

4) For the responsive slides with custom images I’ve tried to link a slide to a page by putting the link in the caption field but it didn’t worked. Is there anything else I should do instead?

Thank you in advance!

e404
e404 Author
1. This gallery is responsive, so it fills all its container. You can use column shortcodes to make it smaller, for example:
[one_half]
[galleria]
[/one_half]

2. You can use the ‘captions=”true”’ param to display titles, however they are collapsed by default (you need to click the ‘i’ icon in the left top corner to see a caption).

3. No, it’s not possible.

4. Putting links in the caption field works for a slider with images attached to a post/page. If you are using custom images (the list of image URLs) you need to use the third param, for example:
[responsiveslides_images]
http://e404themes.com/natural/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/uniformity1.jpg;Photo title;http://google.com
http://e404themes.com/natural/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/paeonia1.jpg;Photo 2 title;http://bing.com
[/responsiveslides_images]
Here you can see some examples.

Hello,

Is there a way to randomly sort the galleria images on a page or move some of the ones I’ve uploaded just now in between some of the images already uploaded on the page?

Thank you. Jhorene

how do I change the naturaltheme heading at the top of my site to my own site name? also, how do I use/activate the gallery?

e404
e404 Author

I suppose you are talking about the Natural Theme logo. You need to upload your own logo image (Theme Options -> General Options).

The standard WP gallery works just like in any other theme – you can read more about it here. The Galleria gallery is described in the theme documentation (Shortcodes section), you can also get the sample code from our demo website.

Whats are the perfect dimensions and dpi for items that have to go up on the slideshow?

e404
e404 Author

The slideshow images should have the width of at least 1170 px (if you want the full-width slider). The height and DPI are up to you.

Hello again e404, my second question:

Is it possible, to change the width from the pages? (also the textpositions)

( http://menschenbrauchentiere.de/1_Temp/width.jpg )

Hope, you understand me. :)

Thanks, Stefan

e404

If you want to decrease the width of the whole website you can use the narrow version of the theme (you can find more details in the theme documentation). If you want to change the width only for the page content, it requires recalculating widths of all columns and it’s not a quick modification.

Hi,

I’ve also noticed the same issue is happening on your demo site here: http://e404themes.com/natural/gallery/gallery-with-galleria/

Any help would be most appreciated Thanks

Edit the ‘inc/shortcodes.php’ file, find the following line:

and change ’width’ and ‘height’ attributes.

A few question forehand…

At this page: http://e404themes.com/natural/portfolio/american-hover-fly/

Is there anyway that at the left where the picture of the bee is, instead of having a single image could have a gallery? In the same page, how extensible is the list, you know (Client, Media, URL, Year). I would like to have at least another 3 or 4 fields.

At this page: http://e404themes.com/natural/portfolio/4-columns-sortable/

All, Branding Illustration, Print, Web are the categories, is there a way of having one extra level of filtering. Sort of, I click on Web and then I have ‘Joomla’ and ‘Wordpress’ as options?

Thanks. Its a very nice theme btw.

e404
e404 Author

I’m sorry, but I misinformed you about a single portfolio page. I thought you mean a portfolio page (the list of all works).

On the portfolio page you can easily insert any gallery – see this or this. You can literally insert anything on a single portfolio page, because it’s a regular WP page.

Fields you have mentioned (Client, Media, URL etc.) are not custom fields – they are just added to the page content. So you can add any other informations to this page.

But custom portfolio filtering is not easy to make, because the used script doesn’t allow to do that. You would need to completely rebuild this page with another script for filtering items.

I’ve downloaded and started customizing the theme for a client, but the slideshows do not conform to the widths given in the short code. They all seem to stretch and crop oddly. I’m using the responsive slider (height=400 width=770), but you can see that the slider is stretching and not conforming to size if you check http://multiani.com/equatoriateak

How do I force the slider to conform to the dimensions given?

Thanks, J.

e404
e404 Author
The theme is responsive, so sliders have to be responsive as well – that’s why they have always the width of 100%. If you want a narrower slider you need to put it into a column, for example:
[one_half]
[responsiveslides]
[/one_half]
In fact, the ’width’ param in sliders is used for scalling images, not for setting up the slider width.
Default-user

Hmmm… I have created plenty of responsive websites with sliders, but all of them allowed me to set a max width instead of stretching an image beyond its own width/height and making it blurry. What happens to people viewing sites with this theme on a 25” screen? The images in your slider will simply stretch beyond their ability and look ugly unless I upload huge (bandwidth-eating) images to compensate for large screens.

I think I’ll just use my own JQuery slider that lets me set the parameters for the slides within the slider. That’s a much neater bit of code than splitting the page up into sections to force the slider not to stretch too far.

Cheers, J.

e404
e404 Author

The theme has the max width of 1170px, so the website will never be wider. By the way: you can always set the max width for the slider using custom CSS code.

To fix your logo width add the following code to the Custom CSS box (Theme Options -> Styling Options):
@media (max-width: 479px) {

Hi. Is there a way to customize the height AND width of the slider? Thanks.

e404
e404 Author
Because sliders are responsive, they have to have the width of their container. So if you want a slider to be narrower you need to put it into a column shortcode, for example:
[one_third]
[flexslider]
[/one_third]
bobbyl76 Purchased

Are the slider sizes pretty much fixed at that aspect ratio? I have images that get cropped on the tops and bottoms and I’d like to know if there is a simple way to set the size of the sliders.

e404
e404 Author
Because sliders are responsive, they have the fluid width (the base width for slider images is 1170 px). You can change the slider height using the ‘height’ param, for example:
[flexslider height="500"]
So if your images are cropped at the tops and bottoms, you need to play a little with the ‘height’ param.
Would you let me know how i can get the videos on this page to be smaller? http://charlifreda.com/portfolio/team-games/

e404

Because the theme is responsive, videos need to have a width of 100%. So if you want to display a smaller video you need to put it into a column, for example:

To make this theme non-responsive remove those two lines from the ‘header.php’ file:
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" href="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/mediaqueries.css" />
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width; initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0" />

First of all, remove your custom CSS code:

Hi. Thanks for a great theme. I am using prettyphoto to show inline text like this: a href=”#inline-1” rel=”prettyPhoto” >More Info div id=”inline-1” style=”display: none;” p>More info text here./div> /div>” and it Works great. But the problem is that it looks like the standard Width of this is set to 500px. When viewed on a mobile the text-window is to wide. Is it possible to set the max Width for the use of inline only to 300 px ? Or to make it responsive

e404

That’s strange, because the prettyphoto window is responsive. Are you sure you didn’t set a fixed width for your hidden div? Can you send me your website URL?

Default-user

you can se it here: http://www.badiscography.com/scarfs/ on the More info link. I have tryed to install the prettyphoto plugin and disemple prettyphoto in the theme. Then in the jquery.prettyPhoto.js file in the plugin there is a function where I can set the Width to 300 and this Works fine. But then I have problems with the image size on mobile. So I’d rather use the theme-prettyphoto.

I found the Width in the jquery.prettyphoto-old.js and changed it to 300 but it dosent Work.

e404

jquery.prettyphoto-old.js is old and not used anymore – that’s why your changes don’t work.

Apparently prettyPhoto has some problem with scalling its window when displaying an inline content. The only thing I can recommend is to change the default window width to for example 300 px. You can change the ‘default_width’ variable in the prettyPhoto code or edit the ‘functions.php’ file, find the following line:

jQuery("a[rel^='prettyPhoto']").prettyPhoto({ overlay_gallery: false, social_tools: '', deeplinking: false });

and replace it with:

jQuery("a[rel^='prettyPhoto']").prettyPhoto({ overlay_gallery: false, social_tools: '', deeplinking: false, default_width: 300 });

These mages will be resized to the full browser window width. You can set any height you want, but the width should be at least 1500 px (otherwise images will be overstretched on computers with larger screen resolutions).

All images are automatically scaled, so you don’t need to worry about the exact size. Just make sure all full-width images (including slider images) are wider than 1170 px (this is the max width of the website content).

Your all images should have the same ratio, otherwise they will be scalled and/or scopped to avoid stretching. Also note that all elements are scalled/cropped to have the same width (the scrollable shortcode doesn’t support various widths). Plus if your images are too small, they will be stretched. I’m sure this is the reason.

The default item size depends on the number of items. For example: 6 items – 170×100, 5 items – 210×120, 4 items – 270×150. You can set a custom height, but you can’t set a custom width.

Hi e404, just purchased the theme, already loving it!

A couple questions:

1. You might remember I asked about allowing for the logo to be text instead of an image. Could you provide that CSS please?

2. Perhaps I am confused, but when I set a custom background color it does not override the preset background texture?

3. I would like to set the body width to be a little more narrow and max out at about 1100 px; where would I make that change?

Thanks!

1. Please send me an email using the contact form on our profile page and I’ll send you instructions.

2. Could you send me your website URL? I would like to look at this.

3. You can’t simply adjust the theme width – it requires a lot of customizations, because the theme is responsive. But you can use the narrow theme variant (the width of 960px) – you can find instructions in the theme documentation.

Hi, I am wondering if it was possible to hide slider(s) from SmartPhones? Not tablets.

Thanks :)

This kind of theme customizations can’t be done as a part of our standard theme support. However I can give you some hints – but you need to take a look at this file first. For example:
/* Mobile */
@media (max-width: 767px) {

/* Mobile (Landscape), Design for a width of 480px */
@media (min-width: 480px) and (max-width: 767px) {

/* Mobile (Portrait), Design for a width of 320px */
@media (max-width: 479px) {
I think it’s self-expaining, isn’t it? ;) Just add a CSS code for hiding sliders to these sections and that’s it.

Can you tell me the ideal image size for the sliders and static header options. When I load a picture only a portion of the picture shows in the slider.

For example if I were to load a picture of a car on the street only the sky (top of the picture) would show, not the car in the bottom of the picture.

Hope this makes sense, kind of hard to explain.

Thanks!

Images for the header should have the width of at least 1500px and images for regular sliders should have the width of at least 1170px. They will be scalled automatically and cropped if necessary.

ciao e404 I’m almost done with the site.

Have a question: I’m usign the following shortcode, which shows all images correctly.

The point is: titles/descriptions won’t show up. Tried also the title=”true” attribute :) with no results

[galleria_images thumbnails="true" slideshow="true" width="610" height="800" title="true"]
URL;Description
URL;Description
URL;Description
[/galleria_images]

Can you please help? THanks a lot Marco

There is no ‘title’ param in this shortcode – you need to use the ‘captions’ param:
[galleria_images thumbnails="true" slideshow="true" width="610" height="800" captions="true"]

Thanks. Worked it out! :)

I was wondering if revolution slider could be used with your theme in fullwidth and if yes, how?

Thanks again!

You can try to replace the wide header slider with Revolution Slider (you can find the slider code in the ‘header.php’ file). There is no way to put the full width slider in the page/post content.

Hello, the mobile menu shows up when screen-width is less then 980 px. Where or how can i change this to 850px?

Thank you for the quick response.

When I add an image to the header and create to the size I set in the Header Options box, it appears on the page distorted and a little blurry. It seams the header image is resizing itself. Is there a way to disable the header image from resizing/rescaling?

Thanks!

Yes, the header image is resizing to fit a browser window. If don’t want images to be scalled add the following code to the Custom CSS box (Theme Options -> Styling Options):
#wide_header_wrapper img { width: auto; }

    display: inline-block;
    width: 116px;

Hi, I love the template and I’m using it for a project but I need to enlarge the logos above the footer (called our clients in the template). In the shortcode it’s a ‘scrollable title’ I believe. What I want to do is keep the width of these but change them so the height is a bit bigger, 90px would be perfect, but how and where do I go to change this setting?

Thank you,

I am using the following short code – [recent_posts show_thumbnails=”false” show_dates=”true”]

I would like the output to be wider – the width seems fixed to about 50% of the column (looking at single page with right sidebar template)

Can you assist? Thanks.

lovely lookin theme! (I just need to check..) am I correct in thinking that I can have the ‘Gallery with custom images and slideshow’ placed on a 50% column of a full-width page? (I see it looking great squeezed for small-screen-device) Thanks a lot
