Hello, this is my first time using wordpress and your theme is my first theme as well. So, a bit difficult for me. first, I tried to set up everything in my way but I’ve faced many problems. 1) I choose my menu to be Single line with left aligned logo but I don’t know how bring the search symbol and wishlist symbol to the menu like yours? 2) How to add subscription and the following us with the social media icon in the footer which I set my footer to be a basic single column? 3) For homepage, If I want the page not to be able to scroll down, just header the revolution slide show and footer all in page no scroll down like http://www.therow.com/collection_fall2013#0 4)Last I try to import your full demo instead by using import in tool section, but nothing change at all, only the categories and the tags are imported. Any suggestions?

Many thanks

SwiftIdeas

1) Which header do you have set in Theme Options > Header Options?

2) You can set your footer in Appearance > Widgets

3) This may be tough, something like that isn’t necessarily supported as standard.

4) Check the documentation, it covers steps to take with the demo import.

Hi, I’m thinking about purchasing this theme. Looks really nice! But, will it work with the new Wordpress Release 3.6 that’s due out in a couple of weeks? Thanks :)

Thanks Ed! Just one last question… Does Neighborhood support Woo Commerce Pre-Orders Plug-In? Ta!

SwiftIdeas

I haven’t personally tested it, but I can’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work. Shouldn’t have any issues, but if you do we’ll be happy to assist.

Thanks Ed! :)

hi guys, the theme is really nice. but before I can buy it I would have to know whether it is possible to integrate a button forces the customer to accept the general terms and conditions?

Hi there,

Thanks for the interest. I had a quick google and found this – http://chromeorange.co.uk/adding-an-additional-checkbox-to-the-woocommerce-checkout/

Hope that helps!

I’m having some issues with displaying products on the homepage. The last (5th item) is being forced down and will not display – leaving a large gap on the right. The images are 480×480px.

Also the images appear to be very bad quality though look fine on the main product page. Is the theme picky on what res images I upload?

You can see it here – http://vinylstickerpicker.co.uk/

Thanks!

Hi there,

Tried visiting your site but you’ve got maintenance mode enabled?

- Ed

Hello, just a short question… on the firstpage: are there shortcodes for “new arrivals”, “Best sellers”, “top rated”, “Sale Products”, etc.. or some other options?

thanx

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

Those are page builder assets, that you can pick and choose.

Hope that helps.

As a follow up to my previous comment I was able to fix the image quality by going to WooCommerce > Settings > Image Options > Catalog Images > Remove ‘Hard Crop’ check.

I’m still having issues with the 5th product not displaying on the homepage.

SwiftIdeas

Which version of Neighborhood are you using?

- Ed

SwiftIdeas

Thanks for the link. This appears to only be an issue in firefox. We’ll fix this for the next update. For now, edit /js/functions.js and remove lines 431-433:

jQuery('.variations_form').find('select').each( function() {
    jQuery(this).customSelect({customClass:'woo-select'});
});

Hi there! I have been checking and studing this theme and it looks really really well done. i want to buy it but i just have a couple of questions.

1 – is it possible to disable the animations in the product’s thumbnails? 2 – is it possible to take away the shadow under the product’s thumbnails?

thank you !

SwiftIdeas

Thanks for the kind words.

1) Yes, you can disable this in the theme options.

2) Yes, I can provide some custom css to do this if you’d like.

Hope that helps.

Great Theme!

I am thinking of using it for a corporate website with product catalogue. So I wouldn’t need the shopping cart feature. Would it be possible to switch off the shopping cart and just display the products ?

I also need to make sure if it can handle subcategories.

Thanks.

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

Yes, you can switch off the cart feature in the header. Subcategories are supported.

Hope that helps.

Hello again,

Was able to figure out so many things through trial and error – my site is coming along beautifully.

Came into a similar error as before, except now it’s the other way around. I was able to vertically center my logo by adding “15” to the spacing, but now when I am in mobile mode, the logo is not evenly aligned.

http://tinypic.com/r/kd31nn/5

Any ideas?

Also, since I am here, part two of this question: Do you have any size guides for images/graphics? Like, do you have any suggestions as to the dimensions photos and graphics should be in order to get the best of both worlds (quality of image and speed of loading) – what’s a good portfolio width, for example?

I know it varies depending on peoples projects, but I thought I’d ask in case there was guidelines of some sort to keep everything looking neat.

Best,

pixelb

Sorry, forgot about the default override. It needs the !important to push it to the top of the stack:

@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
#logo img {
padding-top: 2px!important;
}
}

Hi Ed,

You gave a bit of code earlier to someone wanting to put separation lines between here navigation menu items:

nav#main-navigation .menu>li { border-left: 1px solid #e4e4e4; } nav#main-navigation .menu>li:first-child { border-left: 0; }

Do you know how to make these lines smaller in height? You’re (nifty!) code does the job but puts a line in full height which creates a kind of boxed in effect between the grey horizontal line above the NAV and the start of the body content.

I ideally just want to make the lines say 50-60% tall so that they appear like vertical dashes.

Also, do you or anyone else know if its possible to set up a Woo Commerce ‘log-in / create account’ page that works independently of having to go through the shopping cart?

I need my site to be completely hidden, and only accessible via a landing page ‘create account’ (that I then need to verify and accept).

Long question I know, but I find it such an oversight that woo commerce hasnt thought about this!

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

That is a quick solution, something that I was happy to provide, however something like you’re wanting wouldn’t be as easy.

I wouldn’t know where to start with a page like that, but I would guess that there is a plugin that could do what you’re looking for. My advice would be to have a search around.

Hi there, in a product page, how can I add contents into the additional information section? Just in case I need to, can you guide me on how to remove the additional information section as well? Thanks,

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

This section is auto-populated by the attributes you have set for the product in the provided boxes when you create it.

Hi, I am new to this theme. Except from those few selections of header. I wanna have a more customized header. (like adding widget area or static html….)

May I know where the header code located? Seems I cannot find in header.php

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

The header code is located in /includes/swift-framework/sf-content-display/sf-header.php

Hope that helps.

Hello Ed:

It’s possible to put the personal shopper already visible in a page and in the header?

Thanks
George

SwiftIdeas

Hi George,

This can be done with a line of custom css, happy to provide it to you.

- Ed

I mean to create a page an put it in middle of content.

SwiftIdeas

Ahh ok, no – currently this isn’t possible, but I like the idea of that – will have a think and add it to the wishlist.

Hi, what is the correct way of uploading retina logo please? Do I upload both standard AND retina (2x ppi), or should I use svg formats? If I should use svg, how can I enable this format when I am using a child theme (wordpress disables svg upload by default)? Thanks.

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

Upload both, in png format. Then the standard image is used on standard resolution devices, and retina is used for retina displays.

Hi, I’ve got some more questions. 1) For some reason I don’t see the product description and short product description at the single product page anymore… Any suggestions? 2) I set all my single products pages to be without sidebar. Now, when I edit the page the sidebar appears without me changing it. 3) can I somehow pin pictures from blog posts? 4) How can I set the same footer you have on your page? Follow us and sign for newsletter.

Thank you so much! PS.: Is it OK to be writing here or should I contact you or the support team in any other way? Lenka

And could you please tell me how I can separate lines in the description? Thank you.

btw I hope you won’t change it again. It is kinda annoying to do all of it again…

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

We’re adding support for new lines and formatting in the next update. Apologies for the change, but it is for the best!

Small Bug Report:

http://oi44.tinypic.com/161aonk.jpg When you scroll down around where the Twitter slider is, and hover over “Home” in the menu and try to hover over the submenus, the left arrow in the Twitter slider has a higher z-index and makes the submenu disappear.

AMAZING THEME.

SwiftIdeas

Thanks for letting us know, fixed for the next update.

Glad you like it! :)

hi, the number in menu bar of wishlist does not change. Is always to zero

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

This currently only updates on page refresh or when you navigate to a new page. We have it on our wishlist for an update in the future.

- Ed

I have a couple of questions before I purchase the theme. Can multiple revolution sliders be set up so that I can have different sliders at the tops of certain pages?

Also, will I be able to set up category pages for my woocommerce pages?

And finally, is the ubermenu plugin supported with this theme. As in, will it naturally work with the css of the theme?

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

Yes you can set up as many different sliders as you like. This can be set on a per page basis.

Yes you can setup category pages.

Yes, the Uber Menu plugin does work with the theme, and actually fits really well.

Hope that helps.
