I would like to know how to use different portfolio categories? On the portfolio page, the only category that appears is the “selected works” one, is there a way to show multiple categories on the same page?
I would also like to know how to display portfolio gallery on different pages?
Thank you very much,
Every separe portfolio should have a parent Portfolio category. Then you can add a Category Link Menu Item in your top navigation – do this for every parent Portfolio category. There is no need for pages here.
Then you can feature one of these parent Portfolio categories on your homepage by selecting it in “Theme Options -> Site Preferences -> Home Page -> Home Portfolio Category”.
Thanks and cheers! —freshfaceSUPPORT TOOLS
First, I would like to compliment you on your awesome theme!
I had some trouble installing the theme and had to do a lot of manual styling in the css to get it looking the way I had it in the live preview site.
There is one thing I could use some assistance with:
Still missing some css here on the google maps iframe. Could you let me know where to find this in the css and what the default styles were?
I am glad you made it, let me know if you need any further assistance.
I had a problem with contact form 7 because it was not sending mail outbound. So, I deleted it and reinstalled it. When I reinstalled it the width’s of each field were longer then how it was when I installed the theme. The first picture is new york street theme contact form 7 fields and the second is the way it looks now. Do you have any advice for me to get the width of the fields back to how they were?
Go to “WP-admin -> Contact -> Your contact form name” and on the left side is a code of your contact form. Please replace it with this and customize IDs such as of captcha to make it work.
<div class="sc_col_one_half sc_col_last" style="float:right;">
<p>Your Name (required)<br />
[text* your-name] </p>
<p>Your Email (required)<br />
[email* your-email] </p>
[text your-subject] </p>
<p>Captcha [captchac captcha-984]<br />
[captchar captcha-984] </p>
<div class="sc_col_one_half" style="float:left;">
<p>Your Message<br />
[textarea your-message] </p>
<p>[submit "Send Message"]</p>
<div class="sc_col_divider" />
Awesome, you are the BEST! Thanks again for helping me out. Great customer support!!!
You are most welcome Michael
first of all, thank you for new york, it’s really cool and sorry for my bad english…
i need to put in a pages of portfolio item one or more galleries. Why i can’t navigate images of gallery with classical arrows < or > ? (lightbox style) like galleries in other simple pages? It seems that in portfolio item pages i have to open thumb per thumb to see the larger image.
You can insert a gallery into your Portfolio Post. But the user would still have to click-through to that post. You can’t navigate with < > arrows on a Portfolio category view because each post is a separate entity.
Is there a way to just show the revolution slider on the front page of the website and not the blog or about us page as well. Here is a screen shot of what I am looking at here that doesn’t give me the option to make that happen.
Thank you for your time again.
I see. You might want to try selecting a page which is empty and then hide the Page Title on the Edit Page screen.
In the POSTS tab when you go to add new post you can choose different options like chat transcript, or quote text. I wanted to add testimonials to one of my other sub categories on my website and use the quote text format to display them. But it seems that it only shows that option available for the blog posts. Here is a picture of the quote text option displayed in the Posts category in wordpress to show you what I am looking at. Please let me know if there is a way I can use this format for my testimonials in another menu besides the blogs.
Unfortunately that is a blog post format, meant for blog posts only. You might try to look for a testimonials plugin which could output as a shortcode into one of your pages for example.
I now have two of your awesome themes. With New York I can’t seem to view portfolio pages. When I click the link from the homepage I get a 404 error.
First possibility is problem with “WP Super Cache”. I see in “WP Admin Menu > Settings > WP Super Cache” just blank page. (But you gave me administrator account .)
Second possibility is our bad permalink settings for portfolio: “WP Admin Menu > Settings > Permalinks > under title Common Settings” – It does not work for “Day and name”, but it works for “Post name” option, so I would recommend you to choose another permalink structure for a moment, and we will do our best to fix it in next update
You were right about the WP Super Cache. I had not run Jetpack on that site after I accidentally deleted from the server. The permalinks were set up to be the Post Name option.
Is the problem fixed or are you still experiencing a problems ?
The problem is fixed. Thanks.
I’m really happy to hear that, feel free to contact us in case of any questons or problems
there is some elements in the woocommerce missing and globaly in your theme:
- checkboxed don’t show up (you fixed it by a patch thanks) its needed to check the terms before checkout in european online shops by law!
- the price is shown white on white by default. the themes css doesnt work on my server? i use the woocommercxe css to make the shop run!
- also tabs/accordeons cause problems in the theme in general…
can you fix that i an update?

Hi – Is is possible to make the main blog section wider on the template with the right side bar? I need to be able to post photos that are at least 900 pixels wide.
Not exactly out of the box, but easily yes, you would just need to modify a few lines of CSS code starting around line 2047 in theme’s style.css
Great theme love the work!
I am having an issue with portfolio sub menus they are not filling the full width of the above main nav item, so the words are truncated over three lines.
I am working with serverpress so i am offline but I have found with Chromes inspector a property that is limiting it to 100px if I disable this everything is fine, but this is coming from index :23 and not the css. This goes beyond my understanding so I am little stuck.
We have recognized the need to adjust this from the start so you can set a wider width in “Theme Options -> Header -> Menu -> Sub-menu Width”. Default value is 200(px).
May a repost the other one vanished, sorry!
Can I turn the lightbox feature for featured images off?
Unfortunately this is not possible out of the box and would require a lot of source code customizations. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Am I able to make the accordeon tabs split on one line, instead of only having one per line. I was trying to figure out if there is a code to have one of the accordeon tabs go to the left side and another go to the right so it would be more balanced out on the page. Here is a picture of what I have so far let me know if you need more details about this. Thank you for your help.
You would need to use the columns shortcodes. Create 2 columns, each with 50% width and add half of the tabs in one and the other half into the other.
Ohh yea that makes sense. Thank you again for all the help. Website is almost done so glad I picked this theme, it is coming out GREAT!
I’m really glad that we were able to help you Feel free to contact us in case of any questions or problems
is there any soundcloud demo?
the woundcloud wordpress code is not working by default.
soundcloud embedding fucks up the css (a bit)
is there any soundcloud plugin that u recoomend?
can u fix these soundcloud issues?
I can surely have a look at it since SoundCloud is fairly popular. Can you please create an example page for me and give me a link to that page along with your wp-login access (your old one has been auto-deleted by now)? Use the private request generator from my signature below:
i think its a general thing for the next update.
- you can test it on your demo. its hard to embed without layout errors via iframe. the wp shortcode provided by soundcloud for wp sites doesnt work.
i tested (all) free plugins. maybe its a css problem to make it look “normal”.
normaly works. adds a button over the kitchen sink / wysiwyg-tool bar.
For some reason, when I have inserted it manually as a shortcode like this:
[soundcloud id='41642262' color='#ff7700']
it started to work. The “Insert Soundcloud Player” button then works normally as well so you don’t have to copy/paste shortcodes, just the first one. Can you try it and let me know if it solves the issue for you as well?
Thanks and cheers!
I am trying to add videos to a page under one of my header’s. But the only format that we are able to add videos to the page is in the blog posts. The only thing I can do is add a link in the page for people to click it and send them to the url. I am trying to have a page dedicated just to my videos which would be different from my blog posts page. Is there functionality to make that happen.
You should be able to insert a so-called “video embed” into any page or post. An example of such code is:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/uRtaMFVWoJo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
You can find that code in “www.youtube.com -> Your video -> Share -> Embed”
Awesome I was able to do it, thanks for the help again.
I was testing out my finished website and the GO responsive pricing tables I put in are not working properly on the mobile platform. They work fine on the computer but when visiting them on the mobile platform the “Buy Now” buttons are non responsive or take about 10 hits for it to send to the next page. Are you able to test it out on your end to see if you can get it to work. Thanks!
We can’t provide support for 3rd party code, but I can surely have a quick look and if it’s something easy I can help you with that. Please send me your wp-login again using the private tool from my signature below:
I am having some issues with layout of blog categories that I hope you can help with.
The blog has a few categories with several sub categories under each one.
In the ‘Site Preferences’ section under your Theme Options the categories and sub-categories are listed under ‘Blog’ but are not in the correct order (not all the child categories are in the right place).
This is not so much of an issue as Wordpress has them listed in the right order, but the main issue is that when I go to set custom settings for each sub category nothing happens on the front end after saving them.
I wish to see the minimal layout with no sidebar but instead I see the standard layout (full posts) with a sidebar
Here is one of the sub categories that should be displaying the minimal layout:
As a temporary work around (client wanted to see the site) I’ve had to make the sub-categories all top level categories. This solves the issue but it would be nice if your settings worked with sub-categories.
Could you please send me your wp-login through our private tool in my signature below:
I have sent you the details. Ref: 1890
Do you use any caching plugins? That could be the reason why your changes do not propagate.
the portfolio grid on the homepage has title and subtitle visible under each item, but when i make a portfolio menu page, only the portfolio image is displayed in the grid. what setting must change so that titles and subtitles are displayed below the portolio image in the grid, as in your demo?
nevermind.. duhh.. got it.
I’m really happy to hear that. Feel free to contact us in case of any questions or problems.
I want buy this theme but i have 2 questions.
1. Is possible change that FontAwesome to .png in all theme? (social icons, posts and news)
2. Can i hide the menu and the last session (3 columns) into the demo/theme?
1) This is not possible out of the box so that’s something you would have to customize on your own
2) Yes, this is possible in our Theme Options panel, you can just turn it OFF
Thank and cheers!
please, i have another question.
Do you have the files used in the demo?
it will be nice to start an edition.
Some themes that i bought has files to include and this help us start an edition of template. That help very much.
If you mean the Demo content, then yes There is one click installation which provides the exact same copy of our demo content. Only images will be blurred due to the copyright stuff
i´m trying install plugins, full content and i can´t.
anything was installed.
this message during severals time and don´t finish.
I wasn’t able to see the error.jpg file, could you please re-send it ?
Is there a way to embed a code into the mobile app so users can view the full website on the mobile platform. Maybe a way I can put a link in the footer that would say, “view full website” that would link to the regular website.
Unfortunately, this is not possible out of the box and it would require quite a lot of modifications.
