K2 can be installed and it will work without any problems, but it will use defalut K2 styling as template doesn’t provides additional styling for K2 component.

Yes, you don’t need to install and use K2, and there is no additional extensions here.

Blog is built from Joomla articles and categories only. Also please take a look at “company blog” menu item under main menu, it is set to display articles from selected categories in blog layout. In menu settings you can choose how many items should be displayed on single page, in how many columns ...

Joomla gives you all needed options to build standard, simple company blog so K2 is unnecessary here. The only thing is that Joomla doesn’t have a comments feature, built-in to Joomla core, so this the reason why I choosed additional plugin for that purpose, plugin which integrates Disqus comment system. All needed informations how to configure and manage disqus you will find in documentation.

Regarding to your second question, please just publish your module in sidebar-b module position.

.menu2 ul li.active a { color:#fff; }

for:

.menu2 ul li.active a { color:#000; }

I’m guessing, that you have template only installed? (not complete QuickStart package ?)

If yes, to make popup feature work correctly if template only is installed you must have Joomla login module published in module position “popup” (module should be enabled and assigned to “all pages”), also RokBox lightbox plugin should be installed and enabled in Joomla plugin manager.

Registration button was prepared to work with Joomla core user registration, but it can be changed.

Please open file “login.php” located in template features folder, and here please changed line 34 for:

<a href="index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=registers" class="register_button"></a>

After this change, registration button should be connected to registration page of CB component.

Actually I just found another way to solve the problem. I entered the urls of the CB register form and of the CB profile in:
Template Manager: Styles -> NeXT – Default -> Features -> Login Box -> Register Text and Profile Text fields.
It works fine!

Hello Luca, no problem.

Regarding to your previous question, yes it will work but that will caused errors in html markup and this can cause problems in rendering in older browsers. I suggest to modify login.php file, also if you wish you can give full url address in line 34. example:

<a href="http://www.yourdomain.com/yourpage" class="register_button"></a>

Regarding to menu fonts, I’m aware of this problem, Gantry 4 brings changes in the way how webfonts are loaded, and this feature was rewritten completly in newest version of framework.

Please open file webfonts.php from template features folder and please change line 42 for:

$gantry->addInlineStyle("h1,h2,h3,h4, a#gantry-totop,.date-day, .date-month, ul#member-menu li, p.small-legend, .menutop li.root > .item { font-family: '".$font_family."', 'Helvetica', arial, serif; }");

After this change, same font-family selected in Webfonts will be used for root menu items.

Fix for this issue will be included in next official template update.

I changed line 42 in webfonts.php file but it didn’t solve the problem, I have the Gantry v4.1.2 installed.
Any suggestion?

Slider is filling already whole available width of template and it can’t be increased, if you will want to decrease width it can be changed in widgetkit slideshow settings.

Slider module position is prepared to keep only one module in row, but if that is needed I can help you with modification. Please just contact me directly via contact form from my profile page on TF.

Google Analytics feature is already integrated in template – template settings – please go to tab named features, please enable option – Google Analitycs, now in filed on right side please just paste your unique Google Analitycs code.

Please note that if after turning on Google analitycs option, field will stay unactive please save and close template and please open template settings once again.

Regarding to your question, please go to template settings – layouts – here in header section – please use slider to set other widths for header section, for example 8 | 4 or 9 | 3, after this change, you shouldn’t have any problems while using wider logo, as container where logo is placed will fill 8 or 9 columns from 12 columns available in grid of template.

Hello Canny and thank you for your purchase! please open template.css file and at the end please add following line:

#rt-slider .rt-container { min-height:450px; }

This should help to keep the proper size of this section, even when images are not fully loaded.

Btw. I see that you using defalut widgetkit style, in widgetkit slideshowe settings please try to change style for a homepageslider style which was prepared especially for NeXT
