I went to the forums and have gotten no responses to my problem. So can you help me through the issue? How come the theme is not allowing me to change anything in the Theme Options Tab? The E commerce site is insoleinseoul.com

Thanks for your purchase! To address the issues you brought up:

Problem 1

The demo data install takes a long time to install because it’s a large demo site (with a lot of images) – it can easily take five minutes for it to run. If users think that it’s hanging and refresh the demo data page and try to run the installer again, then it can install the demo content multiple times.

For the users on the support forum that you’re referring to, the PHP memory limit was in fact the issue that caused demo data import to fail. This has been verified as the cause since once those users raised their PHP memory limit to 64M, the demo import worked fine for them.

Problem 2

When the Enable custom colors? option is enabled, all the color options below are applied. You can delete any color options you don’t want applied and the default skin styling will remain. So, if you just want to set the divider color, set the divider color option and delete the values in all the other options.

We like to ensure all our customers have a good experience, so if any other issues come up, please post and we’ll do our utmost to help.

Thanks for your interest! A full-width “unframed” layout is currently on our improvement roadmap (and would include a full width slider than spans the entire browser window). With regard to the portfolios – Nexus lets you create as many portfolios as you want (filtered, unfiltered or any combination of the two).

Thanks for your interest! You’re correct that the next/prev arrows don’t show up in the gallery portfolio lightboxes (currently, the arrows appear only when the gallery shortcode is used). We’ll be sure to add them as an option on portfolios in an upcoming update.

One common gotcha is that the actual theme folder is contained one level down inside the zip that you downloaded. The folder structure of your downloaded zip file looks something like this:

nexus-1.0.2
|— doc
|— licensing
|— nexus
|— resources

That “nexus” folder one level down is the actual theme. If you install it, everything should work as expected.

1. Adding a search box isn’t currently available as a simple theme option, but we’ve been getting a lot of requests for it, so it’s on the improvement list. Would you want it to be displayed instead of one of the header elements, or just added in addition to the other stuff?

To get rid of the slider paginators on the content sliders, copy and paste the following into Appearance > Theme Options > Custom CSS :

• Content Slider – this is the slider that has the rotating HTML5 logo, etc. We’ve included a bunch of [animate] shortcodes and a shortcode generator to make it easy for users to create their own animated slide designs. You can also easily add a background image via a custom post option we’ve created.
• CP Slider – this is a slider that shows an image on one side, some content on the other, and a background image. It has a preset fade-in animation. Again, all these settings can be easily edited via a custom post type and interface.
• Flexslider – a simpler option for those users who just want a slider that shows images with captions.

You can create an unlimited number of sliders and add them to any page. Moreover, you can target content to different devices (show different slides on mobile vs. desktop, etc.).

Thanks for your interest! Nexus supports adding a content slider with just one slide. So, you could create a slide with a video on one side and a form on the other and have that be the one slide in your content slide. It would display fixed at the top.
