Thanks so much for your interest! The theme does style threaded comments. Nexus doesn’t support IE6 or IE7 (a number of controls and layouts aren’t compatible).

Hi,

Just purchase your theme and once downloaded I received it in a folder format not a zip. I compressed the file myself and tried uploading to WP. But I get this message:

“Unpacking the package…

Installing the theme…

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

Theme install failed.”

Any ideas?

Hi @javier383,

Thanks so much for your purchase! One common gotcha is that the actual theme folder is contained one level down inside the zip that you downloaded. The folder structure of your downloaded zip file looks something like this:

nexus-1.0.3
|— doc
|— licensing
|— nexus
|— resources

That “nexus” folder one level down is the actual theme. If you install it, everything should work as expected.

This is very sad that you don’t support IE6 -7. I like Nexus theme very much, but I also need maximum browser coverage… Nexus has great design. On the other hand, popular Striking theme supports IE6 -7. And that’s the reason I’ll probably buy Striking, not Nexus. With IE6 -7 support Nexus would be ideal for me.

Thanks for your interest! Nexus does come with generic content page templates – page with right sidebar, page with left sidebar and full-width. The pages examples on the demo site are actually using those page template and just populating them with regular content (text and shortcodes).

Hi Adaptive Themes,

I am having problems with the contact form shortcode, and getting it to setup the same way your example has it.

I’ve got them most recent version of Contact Form 7, but I am perplexed on how to get the stylizing the same as yours. I tried using the text from the demo/contact-form.txt

I’ve got no plugins installed at the moment except for contact form 7. Could you email me the text I should put in the form so the stylizing looks good? phillip [at] dov3group.com

I actually got it to work. I had to disable a few plugins, then re-enable them including Gravity Forms. I didn’t upload the contactform7 plugin so I knew it wasn’t a conflicting issue. Great theme btw, I plan on modding it to my black hearts content!

There is any possibility of creating a new category for Portfolios apart from gallery, video and image.? I mean I want to use more than one Portfolio, but I want to do it with different contents.

Thanks for your interest! It is possible to have a sidebar on the home page. Nexus lets you add a slider to any page, so you could have a left sidebar, right sidebar, or full-width page (like the preview site).

The slider lets you add any content you want, so you could put in your aweber form instead of the Contact Form 7 form we have in the demo.
