Hey guys. You know, I wish there was more truly original stuff like this on themeforest. This design is sexy in 20 different ways. Only thing I don’t like about it is the bit with music. Other than that, dude, it’s beautiful. I’m following, so I get notified of your portfolio updates. Keep up the great work!

Firstly, great template! love the design. I have encountered an issue with the blog calendar not displaying properly using a custom cufon http://peinturedecorative.ca/en/blog/

I have noticed that using a custom cufon the sub menu is shifted one position upwards as well.

What file should be edited to change the full screen slider’s background color to black instead of default white?

Hi Marie,

The template is styled to fit the default fonts that comes with the template.

To update the blog date styling, search for the ”.blog-date” class in the “css/style.css” file. Specifically, the line-height probably needs to be changed.

For the subs, search for “nav > ul > li ul” in the style.css file. Probably the “margin-top” needs to be adjusted.

For the fullscreen gallery, did you mean you want to change it from black to white? If so, the background color is based on the background-color of the page. This can be changed at the very top of the “style.css” file. It would be a global change though, so if you just wanted to apply a white background to the fullscreen gallery page only, you could create a class in the style.css file and then add the class to the body tag of the html file. Something like this:

/* added to the style.css file */
.fullscreen-page-background {background-color: #FFF}
<!-- added to the body tag -->
<body class="normalize fullscreen fullscreen-bg-color">

That helped me out a lot thank you very much.

i snapshot an example of what i meant for the fullscreen gallery using the simple slider. the white border/background around the image and the social media share button would like to have it black instead.

The gallery slider on hover shows grey with magnifying glass is it possible to leave the picture instead of an on hover action?

Hi Marie,

For the lightbox, open the file named “css/lightbox.css” and around line #45 you should find a rule named ”.lightbox-holder”. The background color is the first property.

For the hovers, inside “css/style.css”, around line #1712 you should see the following rules:

  • a.hover-magnify span
  • a.hover-link span
  • a.hover-video span

They each have a background style that looks like this:

background: #c4c1b9 url(../img/icons/magnify.png) no-repeat center center;

The very beginning is the color that can be changed.

Thanks again that worked out perfectly. One last thing, im trying to translate the Feedback Form in the contact page and it just insn’t happening automatically. Would you have a solution for this please?

50andJACK

Hi Marie,

The template doesn’t include any system for language translation, but if you need help with something external added to the template I’m available on a freelance basis.

Hi There,

I have a problem in that when viewed in IE 7 or 8 there is just a black screen. Can you check this out please?

Cheers Jack

50andJACK

Hi adobementor,

IE7 isn’t one of the compatible browser’s we list in the item’s description. For IE8, upload the original files to your website and it will work.

Jack,

I tried it on the live server and it still shows a black page. Any ideas what else it could be?

Hi and thanks for this great template. My problem is I used to work with older version of HTML, not having much knowledge with HTML 5 but am willing to adapt.

I just downloaded a trial version of Dreamweaver CS6 and launched intex.html. The problem is DW is not rending the template at all under Design Tab. Am I missing something? Style sheet is loaded as well as all the JS scripts, but the Design view is totally messed up.

Design view will help me since am way behind with HTML and I feel it will be easier for me to get the proper display.

Any idea?

Thanks

Hi Robert,

Dreamweaver’s “Design View” or any other WYSIWYG editor is not recommended for editing this template. Instead, the html’s raw code should be edited and then the template should be tested/previewed in a regular web browser.

Hi 50andJack I’m loving your template and am halfway through building a site. I was wondering what was updated on the 30th April, was it a big thing or should I not worry to redownload and redo stuff?

50andJACK

Hi Takahara,

Just some adjustments behind the scenes to the backup Flash video player. I rearranged some code but it still works exactly the same and you don’t need to worry about updating.

Jack,

I have a problem to view the”NAV Title”, “PAGE TITLE” and “HEADER” properly when using Traditional Chinese as my input text. Yet it works properly for the content text.

Can you give me some advice?

Jenny

Hi Jenny,

The Cufon scripts will need to be changed to support Chinese characters. There’s some information about this under “fonts” in the help document.
