1. Yes, there are instructions for this on the support forum.

2. Any embeddable content should display as they would on any WordPress site. I haven’t tried Soundcloud, though, so I can’t say for sure.

3. The gallery is displayed on a normal page using the built-in gallery system of WordPress. You could add buttons above/below the gallery.

4. I’m sure you can using a plugin, but there isn’t a built-in feature for this.

Sure I understand Chris, I don’t mean to pressure my case. But is there no manual or readme i could refer to about this, if there isn’t i wont stress this issue any more, once again thanks for your help.

I will just note that most of the styling is achieved via CSS . If I recall correctly (off the top of my head), in the stylesheet, if you locate styles that start with something like “body.category-blog”, you can just copy that and change “blog” to whatever category you’re using.

If that doesn’t help, for customizations that are beyond the help file and require additional code, I typically refer users to my customization form here: http://themolitor.com/custom

Try adding a widget title to the search widget. The design of this theme depends on having widget titles to help separate the widgets and see when the next one begins.

Hi there,

The demo shows 2 different categories of posts on the home page. I created 1 category for the main slider and a 2nd category for the smaller slider. It’s handy if you want to draw attention to new albums/songs AND events/concerts.

I see the 2nd question has been addressed. Regarding 1st question…

I would recommend using stock from PhotoDune images if you don’t have any. Part of the reason themes are so picture heavy/dependent is because it really provides the best user experience and just looks nice. Entertainment websites with plain text and nothing else tend to be pretty boring experiences.

Hi there,

With the way Nocturnal is setup, the home page uses AJAX to load the next/prev post when you click the arrows at the top of the page. Since AJAX is being used, the amount of time it takes for the next post to appear varies depending on internet speed and the size of the images you’re using.

For example, I click the arrow and the next post appears in 2 seconds. I click it again and the next post appears in 3 seconds. On a different machine/location, I click the arrow and the post appears in 5 seconds – maybe you see where I’m going with this…

Since AJAX is used, there is no way to KNOW how long the post will take to load. If an auto-rotation feature was applied, this could cause known and unknown issues to occur – such as the slide appearing and then a second later the next slide appears, etc. etc.

Conclusion:

Auto-rotation is NOT an option/recommended because it uses AJAX .

This is likely an issue with how you have your URL structure setup. Make sure http://www.sandhandle.com and http://www.sandhandle.com/blog are properly configured on your settings page in the WordPress dashboard.
