One thing and solution for hostings with old LAMP /WAMP configuration: change all ”<? ” with ”<?php ” (without quotation marks, of course) and you’ll avoid some disturbing errors.

I will do these changes in next update. But if you have errors on old servers then do this:
Please open your php.ini file and change: short_open_tag = Off to -> short_open_tag = On Restart your webserver after this change.

Solution I gave was for servers where you can’t change php.ini (e.g. my client actually pays for shared hosting without this feature!!!)

How do I fix the area above the 3D slider. My “page names” are covering up my logo. (http://www.partyrentalentertainment.com)
Also, on the bottom of the the home page, how do I extend the “firebrick red area” so that the words don’t “run off the page”

Is it possible to set a direct link from the TOP main Menu to an external website?
The Page Links To plugin will let you assign a URL to a page. I have used for the same thing you are trying to do.
We will make WP 3 .0 menus compatible and will upload updated theme in 2-3 weeks.
Hi, I have a problem with the drop menu in WordPress 3.0.1. On hover the menu moves about 10 px to the right in Safari,chrome and firefox. Can you provide some assistance to fix this.

Im using version (version 1.3). Also why is it when I add a picture to pages, that it becomes automatically hyperlinked, and when click it opens the image itself. I just a plain picture to show. How do I turn this function off.

I really like your theme but I am having a problem to upload 2 specific files to the server (through the FTP account), these 2 files are header – Copy.php and index – Copy.php The main problem is that it keeps on telling me critical error due to the name of the file….. but the funny part is that there are other files with the dash (but not the spaces in between) that have been uploaded…. now when I try to put the logo to be used in the webpage it does not pull it…. and shows nothing on the page…. can it be due to this error?????

Hello,
For some reason, the fullpath of images that uses “file_directory_path()” is returning an external link and not an internal link.
For the external link to work,
allow_url_fopen = On
has to be added to your php.ini. This seems like an unnecessary security risk when an internal link should just be internal.
If you use simple web hosting and can’t edit php.ini, then copy your logo (with name logo.png) in ’/wp-content/themes/novatorix/css/arsenic/logo.png’ if you are using ‘arsenic’ skin, if another then in respective folder. Also leave empty ‘Logo’ from Novatorix settings.

Please open from admin panel: Novatorix settings. Find ‘Homepage slider’ options:
Step 1: Please enter how many images to show in homepage slider. Click ‘Save changes’. Step 2: Upload all images into your theme folder /novatorix/scripts/piecemaker/images/ Step 3: Enter only image name (e.g. image1.jpg), enter ‘Headline’, ‘Description’ for all images. Step 4: Click ‘Save changes’.
Note: Required is only ‘Image name’, ‘Headline’ and ‘Description’ are optional.

can you explain the Portfolio Gallery Template and how to add images, it doesn’t seem intuitive.
Hello,
When create or edit page, select ‘Template’ from right sidebar. Available portfolio templates: ‘Portfolio Full View’ and ‘Portfolio Gallery View’.
Each post needs to have an image associated with it and it will be displayed in Portfolio. ‘Set thumbnail’ in right sidebar under ‘Post Thumbnail’. Upload full view image. Add ‘Portfolio image Description’ for ‘Portfolio Full View’ template. For ‘Portfolio videos, flash, YouTube, Vimeo url’ – insert videos, flash, YouTube, Vimeo, iFrames full url. Note: If is empty will show image full preview from ‘Post Thumbnail’.
After these steps go to ‘Novatorix’ Settings and find ‘Portfolio’ options. Choose the number of items you want to display on your ‘Portfolio Gallery view’ Pages. In ‘Portfolio full view’ will show default number from ‘Reading Settings’ => (http://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php). Assign Portfolio Page to a Category. If you will leave ‘Select category’, then will show from all categories.

the problem is that after uploading an image, I do not see Set Thumbnail/Post thumbnail in the right sidebar.

If you use WP 3 .X please find Featured Image -> Set Featured Image in right column under Categories and Post Tags.

Lovin this theme so far. Got the 3D Home Page Slider working just fine. It’s great the way you have it set up to handle re-sizing.
Only question on the 3D slider is:
Is there any way to make the images in the slider clickable hyperlinks to each page that each slider image corresponds to?
Each of my slides is an image of things that correspond to each of my client’s services he offers. i don’t know why I assumed they would be but if there is a way, I haven’t been able to find it in the 3D Slider section of the Novatorix Theme Admin.

In this slider is not possible to click on image and go to some url. You can include this link in images Description.
I want to update our theme soon, please recommend 1-2 sliders that you like and I will try to integrate them. Thank you.

Good. So I wasn’t missing something.
However I tried putting a Headline and a description with an anchor text hyperlink in the first image’s input fields, saved changes then went to the home page and reloaded it.
The 3D Image Slider went BLANK .
Is there some special way I am supposed to put a link in so the slider will still work and the link shows up the slider image?
I’m going to send you an email through the support form here with a maintenance access link because I’m running the site in maintenance mode.
If you want to take a look at the back end I’ll send you admin login info.
