Nyx Responsive Church Wordpress Theme

Hello peerpong – now with the right account. I have to translate the theme into german. The most work is done with the de_de.po, BUT where do I have to change / translate the hard coded parts of the permalink. At the moment the links look like: http://localhost:8888/bo/events/vortrag-medienbranche2012/ but I need http://localhost:8888/veranstaltungen/vortrag-medienbranche2012/. Where can I change this part of the permalink? Thx, for your help. Regards Dani

Hey there! I am having a lot of trouble with the events feature. No matter what I do, clicking on the individual event causes a 404 error where it can’t find the event page itself. The event is definitely published, and appears fine on the overall events list, and I’ve followed the manual exactly, yet each event produces errors when clicking through to the individual page. Any ideas?

The portfolio system is giving me a bit of problems as well. Is there no way to make the content in the body of each portfolio display on its own separate page? Meaning, from the portfolio page, you click the individual portfolio and it takes you to a separate page? Currently I’ve had to create each portfolio in the pages tab, and then create a new portfolio again under the portfolios tab and make each an “external link” that actually directs to the internal page where the actual portfolio is.

And do you know the exact dimensions for the header image?

I just purchased this theme. Unzipped and uploaded via ftp and tried installing from wp dashboard. I am still getting “BROKEN THEME” “Stylesheet is missing”. please advise. Im using wp3.5.1

How do you disable the text for the sliders on each page? In other words, the featured images. How do you set them for each page?

I am going back and forth on two themes. I have a question for this one. Can I have the width of the navigation bar wider (top to bottom? My clients logo is bigger than the one you have on your preview.

Can this be done?

I’m having the same problem as TehStig.. the settings in “Theme Settings” aren’t working. I can change and save some settings but then they reset shortly after. I don’t have any plug-ins installed. Please help.

I’ve purchased and installed your theme (nice work, by the way!). I seem to be having a problem with viewing images that I’ve uploaded to the image library. The error message seems to point back to your code: Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /nfs/c05/h03/mnt/17577/domains/bigtop.org/html/wp-content/themes/nyx/lib/custom.lib.php on line 172

I have trouble setting the homepage I follow each step you drescribe in the manual, but the THEME SETTING don save my configuration The slider do appear, neither event home page.

Hello, first of all thanks for this great theme!

I have two questions, how do i change the navigation to stick to the bottom of the header (my logo is a little higher and i dont like the white area under the main menu items, also the submenu need to go down a little ofcourse).

Second question, i am not able to set up the slider. I have created 5 slides with a title, content and a featured image. Also i have enabled the slider at the theme settings under homepage. Anything i could miss??

Edit: i figured the navigation out, only need the slider to work now.

Hey i have an other question, i am setting up this site in a multi-site setup within wordpress. But if i save the theme settings on one site it also changes the other one.. how do i fix this?

Edit: it only happens when i restore defaults so i’t not such a big problem

Another question for you: I’m trying to use Tri.be’s Events Calendar Pro with your theme (there’s some additional functionality I want). It all works except the main calendar (which should be available at ….com\events\). When I bring up the calendar page using this theme, I get no information on the page, but I don’t get an error, either. When I try the same page with a different theme (Twenty Twelve, for example), the calendar pops right up.

The URL of the affected page is http://bigtop.org.s17577.gridserver.com/events/.

Do you have suggestions for how I might be able to address this?

Greetings. I’m having one issue with the theme. I can create a page (default page template) and add that page’s content to the Home Page Content Manager. When I do this there is no problem. That page shows up below the slider on the home page.

BUT, if I give that page a sidebar, it seems to break the theme. If I do that, my front page shows the contents of my latest blog post. No title. Just the latest blog content. (I have the basic wordpress reading settings as you need them. “Latest blog posts”)

As you know, to give a page a sidebar I had to change the template to page with right or left sidebar. In some experimenting, I find that any page template I set the page to, regardless of whether or not I use a sidebar, it breaks the home page.

fyi, the BLOG page with the blog page template and a sidebar will display if added to home page content just fine.

In short, if I have a page’s content added to the home page content, that page MUST have the default template. Which means no sidebar for the front page that page is the blog page.

Having issues with the twitter plugin displaying tweets in sidebars. I don’t think it’s a theme problem, perhaps a wordpress issue? Any thoughts? We are updated to the latest version of the theme.

can i make a 2 column portfolio page with ONLY some portfolios in it? i could only make it using sets, but the layout of a single set is totally different with the one i would like to use.

Hello, here i am again with again some problems on my multi site installation. I am unable to change any color settings for the second website (maybe both sites use the same tables in the DB?)

Also i can’t add widgets in for example the footer of the website, everything shows up perfectly fine on the main website but it doesnt on the second site i have…

Any thoughts on how to solve this issue? I have also tried to duplicate the theme on my FTP server and change the name, that way i could select the second theme for my second website. Didn’t solve it
