Hey great work on the theme. Just wanted to quickly find out where I can find the shortcodes option? Don’t seem to find it on the tinyMCE editor. Awaiting your response at the earliest.

Thank you for your prompt response. I’ve fixed the problem myself. Had forgotten to activate the easy columns plugin due to which the sample data was not rendering like it should, on the website. Thanks again.

onioneye

You are very much welcome. Glad you managed to fix the problem you were having.

All the best,

I’m interested in purchasing this theme for our blog. We already have a website and are just wanting to update the look of our wordpress blog (different domain name from our website). If purchased, do we have the option to only use the blog theme and not the main page, etc on our blog? And how easy is it to transition from our current wordpress blog theme to this one. Thank you in advance.

onioneye

Hi there,

thank you for taking an interest in the Omm theme! Appreciate it.

To answer your questions:

1) Most certainly. You can use just use the blog portion of the theme, if you’d like to.

2) Depends on your current theme, but if it implements the blog feature in a standard way (through the Posts type), then the transition should be smooth. In other words, if your current theme is a quality one and doesn’t utilize theme-integrated shortcodes to build up your blog content, then your content should be easily transitioned to the new theme, with maybe a few adjustments needed.

Have fun working with the Omm theme, if you end up buying it! :)

Awesome, thanks so much. One last thing: In the top left hand corner where it has the title “Omm”...can a picture such as a logo be added there instead of text? I appreciate your help and am excited to get the template!

onioneye

Hey there,

you are very much welcome!

Regarding your latest question, you have an option to upload your logo in the theme’s options panel, so you shouldn’t have any problems with that. :)

Awesome. I appreciate the reply. I purchased and started setting it up last night. Love it , that’s for the great work! You wouldn’t be able to tell me if there is an easy way to hide the tags and categories from the blog, is there, or is this not the right place to ask a question like that? Thanks again, keep up the great work. I especially like the mobile version of the template. Very clean and easy to use.

Hello, I’m thinking of buying your beautiful theme. However I would like to know if it’s easy to integrate mail chimp into your template. It’s pretty important for me that people can subscribe to my newsletter. Tnx!

onioneye

Hi there,

glad you find the theme beautiful! Thank you for taking an interest in it. :)

As far as your concern goes, I unfortunately have no experience with mailchimp plugins for WordPress, so I can’t confirm anything, but I am sure that you should be able to use most, if not all of them, without any problems.

Please be aware though that the widget areas in Omm are found in the sidebar of pages and blog.

Sincerely,

It seems that if you should choose MetaSlider pluggin that it won’t be possible to have a home page act as the demo. Is this right? Is there a way to have pages with metaslider codes and a sample of each page on the home page, like the demo? Or is this a customization that requires code somewhere? thanks for any direction on this.

I’m interested in purchasing your theme. But first I do have a question. On your demo homepage for this theme there is a square tile lay-out on the right for different menu items. Is it possible to have white space around these tiles? Some kind of spacing between the tiles?

Look here for an example look here: http://themetrust.com/demos/infinity/

onioneye

Hi there,

thank you for taking an interest in the theme!

As far as your question goes, a single line of CSS code customization should be enough to achieve what you are after.

Have fun working with the Omm theme, if you end up buying it. :)

To be more clear. Here is a picture

Is it possible to add spacing (illustrated with red) between the tiles used in your theme?

(On the right side of your demo site the tiles don’t have spacing between them)

onioneye

Yes, this is possible, but since it is not available out of the box, it would take a bit of customization work to achieve. Should be a very simple task for a freelancer.

Default-user

Thanks. I would like to do the customization myself and I think I’ll will manage. When I order this theme, will there be support from you on this subject? If so, what kind of support can I expect?

onioneye

Hi there,

I have a dedicated support team that handles most of the support questions, so you’ll be dealing with them. Sometimes they will even write the custom CSS code for you, if the customization is very small (within one or two lines of code), but you generally can’t expect that from them. They will usually direct you to the file or even code that needs to be modified.

Hi!

I am considering purchasing this theme to make the move to wordpress from my normal portfolio. I was wondering if once purchased it’s possible to resize the width of the left-hand navigation without too much effort? I don’t know if that is in the controls or is more of a custom css thing. I guess more generally I am curious how much custom styling is available in the settings (color of nav, size, fonts, that kind of thing) or if that’s not something available out of the box.

Thank you!

onioneye

Hi there,

thank you for taking an interest in the Omm theme!

To answer your questions:

1) These types of modifications (resizing navigation) definitely don’t belong to the options, so yes, it is a custom CSS mod. However, it shouldn’t take more than 2-3 lines of CSS code to customize, meaning that it should be an easy task for someone familiar with CSS.

2) As a developer, I take a more minimal approach to theme options, as I strongly believe that most of the things you mentioned do not belong there. I believe that requiring extensive backend setup is a turn-off for the average user, so I gear my themes to work “out of the zip”. Some of the best WordPress themes in the industry follow the same principal, even though you are going to see a lot of themes designed to serve nearly any purpose under the sun.

That said, basic options such configuring your logo, tagline, contact options, or the social networking links are included, but for most of the “styling” changes, some CSS modifications are required of you, or your freelancer.

One other thing to keep in mind is that the code is carefully crafted in such a way that it makes it easy for you to read and modify.

Have fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it!

OnionEye

OK! One more question, is it possible to have more than one blog? Like if I want to have two blogs dedicated to different purposes, would it be possible to do this and then have two separate links in the navigation? Sorry if this is silly, I am new to wordpress.

I did peek the CSS in the demo and it looked very well commented/easy to figure out, so not so much worried about the minor styling tweaks I might want to do, so kudos to that :)

Default-user

Decided to give it a shot and buy it and I’ve figured out what I want to do, thanks again :) Will open a ticket in the forum if I run into any problems!

Beautiful and clean – great work! Will likely be purchasing and implementing your theme for a makeup artist shortly :)

One question: Is it possible to include blog posts with the portfolio projects in the homepage grid? If this functionality is not included, how difficult do you thing it would be for a freelancer to implement?

Thanks for your help! – If I purchase the theme I will ask all forthcoming questions in the support forum :)

onioneye

Hi there,

thank you for the wonderful compliment about the Omm theme! Appreciate it. :)

As far as your question goes, a feature that you are after is not available out of the box, I’m afraid, but it shouldn’t be a super tough one for a freelancer to implement. Takes a bit of thinking and planning to get it right though, but after that, it should not be a hard task for a skillful developer.

Have fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it!

Hello,

Elegant theme – one question: Is it possible to have a static image as the home page rather than immediately displaying the portfolio? If not possible ‘out-of-the-box’ would it be a difficult customization?

Thanks!

onioneye

Hi there,

glad you find the theme elegant. Thank you for taking an interest in it!

You can have any page as your homepage, so the feature you are looking to have is easily achievable out of the box. :)

Hi! I bought your Yin & Yang theme and now am thinking about updating with Omm. Beautifully simple layout! Would it be possible to add a big photo at the top of your homepage that would take up the space of about 6 blocks? Could that be accomplished with adding an HTML widget to the page? I’ve done a little theme customization, so I guess I’m wondering how easy/ difficult it is to modify your Omm theme. Thanks!
