Hi! Very nice looking theme. Are featured images required on posts or can posts be made without one and not throw off the layout?

rvision_

Offcourse, you’re not required to add featured images at all.

First: I install every Week WordPress and Themes. This one makes me some trouble. I like the Design an want to use it. But this Theme don’t like me:-)

I start a really fresh an new WordPress Installation. I Downloaded the latest File from here an install it. And now:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or ’$’ in …. wp-content/themes/one64/rvision/rv_DynamicData.class.php on line 16

Edit: next try.. Same procedure.

Now the Error Message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in … /wp-content/themes/one64/rvision/rv_Video.class.php on line 1

:-/

I’m sorry, I can’t replicate this behaviour at all.

1) What version of PHP /WordPress do you have installed? First error might be related to that.

2) If you open file rv_Video.class.php, you’ll see there is no ‘}’ character at all.

PHP 5 .2.13 WordPress 3.3.1

rvision_

From http://wordpress.org/about/requirements/

To run WordPress your host just needs a couple of things: PHP version 5.2.4 or greater

Hope this solves your problem.

Quick question on ONE64 theme. I would love to adjust the width and height of the homepage slider. I need it a bit taller than 356px. Is there any way to do this?

rvision_

Adjust css for the desired slider:

\one64\style\sliders\

and add a new image size for WP image resizing (theme.php, line 28):

add_image_size(‘homepage-slider’, 938,356, TRUE );

I see the tweak needed to resize the slider, but can I put widgets next to it when it’s smaller? I saw on the video that the slider also has the fraction-thingy above (1/1, 1/2 etc). If I set it to 1/2 can I use 1/4 – 1/4 widgets on each side next to the slider?

I love the theme but I have to come up with this widget-slider-widget setup for the client, I hope it can be done.

rvision_

It’s possible, but you’ll have to tweak the include-homepage-slider.php file and organize it according to your needs. And slider css also.

Will you offer forum support for this theme?

Thanks.

So what do I do now ? Can you take back the theme and give me back my money ?

If this is the case, the theme has no use for me and I lost money for nothing.

Sorry, you should have read terms for free accounts on WordPress.com

I suggest you find a decent (premium) WordPress hosting and install theme there.

Hello again, I eventually bought myself a domain and I installed the theme I bought from you. I had the same problem as @nxlevel, but not after your answer I got my problem fixed too. I have another question though: I just finished watching your demo at http://www.screenr.com/b0B8 , and I saw something in the video that I don’t have – why don’t I have the “Posts” option to edit ? I only have: “Blog”, “Layouts” and “Feedburner urls”. I want that option to edit Posts too! What do I do?

And I don’t have that beautiful slideshow on the homepage neither! Can you please help me ? Tanks!

rvision_

Hi darurile, please read the documentation, it’s explained in there. Thank you.

Hello again!

The slideshow is fixed somehow, though, nowhere it is explained THE SIZE OF THE IMAGES needed for the slideshow, and they appear NOT TO FIT into the slideshow slot.

But I still have this problem, and the DOCUMENTATION DON NOT EXPLAIN IT ! Why don’t I have the “Posts” option to edit ? I only have: “Blog”, “Layouts” and “Feedburner urls”. I want that option to edit Posts too! What do I do? Please explain, because I want to be able to edit how posts appear too, as the other users of this theme!

Thank you!

Hello. I just purchased the theme today (March 31, 2012). I currently have it installed at http://www.wigginsmedia.com/options/ONE64

I’m getting a similar error (as everyone else on the board).

ERROR :

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /home/lwig84/public_html/options/ONE64/wp-content/themes/one64/rvision/rv_Video.class.php on line 1

Can you explain exactly why this is happening???

rvision_

Can you tell me what version of PHP /WordPress are you using? Latest WordPress requires at least PHP 5 .2.4 or greater.

Contact me from my profile page so we can resolve this issue.

rvision_

Thanks to user bigpill, the issue is resolved:

When uploading the theme, for some reason some hosting companies break up the code in the file /themes/one64/rvision/rv_Video.class.php. If you compare the uploaded file with the file in the download package, you’ll see that they are not the same.

Therefore, to fix the issue, please upload the file manually. Thank you.
