@DigitalVinyl: I finished my research on media upload options of members in a buddypress site and the best one that I found for my needs was BuddyPress Media.

@diabolique I just realized that when I click on the “forums” tile in header it takes me tot he “forums” page but does not show activity for my group forums. What do i need to do to correct this? Thanks in advance.

Did you install “Forums for Groups”. Does it work when Default theme is active.
I’m talking about the tile menu item that has this image tile-forums.png. It goes to domain.com/forums.
Yes, I do I have group forums enabled.
I switched to the default theme to test, and it does not work. (Sorry for not checking this first, I should have known better.) That said, I guess it’s not a “theme” issue, but if you could point me in the right direction, I’d appreciate it.
I should mention that in testing, I installed both sets of forums “group forums” and “sitewide forums” to demo them and determine what I wanted to do. In the end I chose the group forums and reinstalled buddypress only selecting the group forums. If I missed something when I switched back, let me know so I can fix it.

If you’re intalling site-wide (bbPress) forum too then you have to change “Forums base” – http://imm.io/SzaN
I actually took down the site wide forums and only want the buddypress group forums. I wonder if a previous ‘site-wide forums’ setting is the culprit. Any thoughts on this? I’m worried that I might have to install wordpress and db all over again…which I don’t want to do if there is another way.

I’m trying to add a ‘change avatar’ button into member-header.php as the function to do so is currently very hidden.
The URL needs to go to:
http://www.mysite.com/members/USERNAME/profile/change-avatar/How can I achieve this link within member-header.php?
I have tried using: “members/single/profile/change-avatar.php” but when visiting the user’s messages, it will add ”/messages” into the link.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I have already done this (the avatars upload fine).
I just want to link a button saying ‘change avatar’ within the member.header.php. The reason is because there is only 1 link that allows the user to change their avatar, and that is hidden within the admin toolbar.
I am trying to add a “change avatar” button within the site to make this much easier for my users?

If you added it then link to avatar editor will be visible.
Where abouts is it visible? In the admin bar?

I purchased this theme but the avatar upload is not showing on users profile fields. How can a user edit or even add an avatar if this field is not shown on their profile page.
I have set the wp bar to invisible as i dont want to show that ugly bar if you could assist that would be great.
You can disable top WP bar under theme options panel.

On small tablet, it’s odd that it fills up the entire space in landscape mode and not for portrait mode leaving white space on both sides.

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

Are you trying to upload whole zip file with PSD files and documentation?

Compress folder with theme OneCommunity to ZIP format using winrar, winzip or something else and upload.
I bought this template thinking it would be good for the community I was trying to build… big mistake.
If you try to use bbpress (latest version) integrated with buddypress the front widget that shows the latest posts in the forum will not show the topics, it will do it with the legacy bbpress included in buddypress… legacy version lacks a lot of funcitionallity
Now, also with bbpress (latest version) will not show the forums, a Fatal Error will show when trying to read a forum, also, after you post something in the latest version of bbpress will just redirect you to a blank page… all this is with bbpress integrated in a buddypress
More issues, the extended profiles of buddypress will not show all the fields and the custom fields, not possible to change the avatar and other issues with profiles
And still more, the side widgets will not work outside of the frontpage, text widget in the other pages will not show, even if you add a title, every time you switch between tabs of a group or your profile you have to scroll down again and again, becomes very annoying and old very fast.
So at this point, I feel I wasted my money in a template that looks great but is poorly coded

It’s weird because this theme was checked by TF reviewer very carefully with enabled debug mode.
I have set up the theme and fixed my issues but take a look at it on an apple computer or in a tablet. It loads weird and nothing is lined up correctly…see http://www.tradersculture.com to view the issue
It’s caused by stock quotes widget, there are some unclosed divs or floats.
I disabled it but I am still getting the same issue?

Check “Recent Post On – Trader Education” widget – you didn’t add title. Each widget must have title.
Also logo is too big for resposive layout if device’s screen has 300px width

Great theme. Two questions: 1. There is no information about what theme options can be changed. Can I change the colors through admin panel or do I need to go into CSS or PSD files for that?
2. Does activity automatically convert links and things like YouTube videos into rich links that show a thumbnail or video like Facebook does?
1. Colors you can change via style.css (documentation is very detailed), rest of things is controlled via theme settings panel.
2. Yes, it’s a standard feature of buddypress.

Right now the browser displays this: group name | forum | topic title | domain
Looking for the theme option to set it to this instead and leave out forum: topic title | group name | domain
