I’m having trouble finding instruction on how to make a drop down menu. The help file says to open general.js, but that only customizes it.

I also wanted to have a “like” facebook button added to the each post. How would i go about doing that?

I have made two websites in my whole life, one using Studio 960 (http://charliebedandbreakfast.com/) and one using this one (http://java-archi.com/). I am getting kind of “cudazi addict”. I should not be really proud of that but I do not know any html or css whatsoever coding and I did get something to work thanks to your good docs and templates.

Now, I have some difficulties with the slider of this template, it works perfectly when I pull in some posts with dedicated id (using “promo_categories”) but it is very cumbersome to define that many posts. Hence, I have tried the “add_images” custom field but I can’t get it to work properly.

It works when I just give the image path,

http://java-archi.com/images/5_wolsemveld/wolsemveld01.jpg|...

but the figure is a bit too big so in order to resize it, I copy the help template and write:

http://java-archi.com/images/5_wolsemveld/wolsemveld01.jpg/940×400|...

but none of the images would load. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Hello again—Im trying to limit the number of posts that appear on my homepage. When I use the custom field “post_per_page” with 3 as the value nothing changes. Any ideas?

I have nearly finished (http://java-archi.com), I managed to solve a number of issues but I still have a couple of questions.

1. Post title link The main project page http://java-archi.com/?page_id=20 is of type Portfolio/Gallery. I use the thumbnail link so that when you click on the project image it leads to the associated project page and it works fine. My problem is that the title of the projects under the images is also clickable and it leads to a “post” page . Is there a way to either render the post title not clickable or to link it to the same page as the corresponding image?

2. Frame around slider In the homepage, http://java-archi.com/ a grey frame delimits the slider. Can I remove it, so that the (grey) sky of Brussels directly melts into the background?

3. Permalink In the Studio 960 template, it was possible to edit the permalinks directly in the page. In OPEN , is there a simple way to get the same thing? I tried to play around with the “Custom Structure” in the permalinks Settings but without success. Cheers,

I have had a headache over this for several months now, but finally I found out the reason and fixed it: On Nokia N900 ’s Gecko-based browser http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MicroB , the following line on OPEN causes all links to be broken, i.e. users can not navigate links at all – nothing happen:

/* Safari Seems to hate the “drop” on click in the dropdown menu */ .sf-menu a:active { position:static; }

I removed this, and it got fixed.

Not sure if you knew about it. I bought OPEN in a bundle so I have an old version, apparently.

I love this template, however I have an issue with the slider I was hoping you could help with?

If I use the promo_categories or the add_images custom fields the images display in the slider area, but not as a slider, they display on top of each other down the page.

Do you have any iodea why this is? I have looked at your video demo and followed it exactly but the images just display as big images ontop of each other:

Any ideas?

I love this template!! I purchased through envato birthday bundle. I have been having a great time customizing it and playing around with the options.

one thing:

How would you use the WP-SWFObject plugin on your template? I tried using the home template with promo_type set to widget then using html text, but it didn’t work. I also tried just using shortcodes in the main paragraph of a standpage template which seem liked it worked when I clicked preview, but then went away after I published it.

Any suggestions?

Hello, I was wanting to find out how i can increase the width of the logo image? My logo width is around 350 pixel. Where in the CSS can i adjust this? Presently my logo clashes into the Menu links on the right side of the header. Please advice.

Great Theme! I was implementing the theme when I realized that the drop down menus stopped working on the sub pages. I made a few minor modifications before I noticed that they stopped working. I added the search widget to the page sidebars, added a larger logo image, and added another search plug in. Realizing that these changes may have caused something screwy to happen, I removed the widget, changed the logo back to the original size, and deleted the plug in. The menu’s still won’t work. I am stuck and could really use some help. Thanks!

I started filling the pages and everything seemed fine (pic: http://goo.gl/oPVrJ) Greek characters seem ok But then.. I purchased this as a part of Birthday bundle so I’m aware I don’t qualify for support. just wanted to clarify a quick issue.

Does this theme support non english characters in post titles and text? Because those symbols seams to be missing and I had the same problem with previous theme I was trying. Wanted to make sure is it my WP configuration or Theme that does this? And if it’s Theme can I fix it somehow myself?

EDIT : Digging deeper. when the page is loading it shows the special symbols in some standard font and then those symbols disappears as the nice font gets loaded for titles. Is there a way I can switch to use that standard font instead of that nice one?

Love the look and feel of this theme which is why I bought it but I’ve spent 2 days now trying to get the portfolio template to do what I want.

I want to simply link the images that appear on my portfolio page- pulled in onto it by a specific category in a custom field- out to a specific page.

Add_urls isn’t working; I put into the value field the url of the page I want to link to, and all I get after a delay is…nothing.

This is really frustrating- I was sick of the shortfalls and glitches in free themes so I bought this, but I’m still spending ages getting this one to do what want, even after spending hours and hours pouring over the Help docs etc! Grrrrrrrr!!! Do hope you can help….

Just want to add after my post of a couple of days ago how quick and efficient Curt’s support is- problems sorted [which included a plug-in of mine that was disrupting things, something for people to be perhaps aware of if they are having glitches] and I now have a great, fully functioning theme that I think is excellent value for money. Will certainly consider the other themes available
