This template is so bad its a complete black eye on theme teams portfolio, Don’t make the same mistake I did and try this template!

As a repeat theme-team client I will call it as I see it, pleae bear in mind that these statements are not motivated out of bitterness or spite, they are simply my experiences and as such I view them as facts:

1) Your downloads will not have all the necessary items included to make your template work. This will happen more then once, and when you ask for the file you need the operator will try to “fix it for you” I go into more detail about how unhelpful and unwanted this pathetic attempt as “service” is latter in this post.

2) This will force you to deal with there painfully slow and frankly quite lack-luster service department. Information is not read clearly by the representatives resulting in MANY MANY needless and slow back and froths costing you time and money. ALL of the responses I did received were not explained clearly and in a pathetic effort to save time on there end VITAL information will me omitted from your service request. Response time are over 12 hours for urgent requests for support so expect to several full days work when you select one of there themes.

3) Your support documentation will be presented to you in a overly stylized and under explained PDF file. Speaking for myself I would rather have my help file be a simple txt doc that clearly explains how to set up the theme and its features then a beautiful PDF that over looks it soul reason for existence.

4) If you have a specific issue, such as a slider / gallery question, your representative will ask you for your ADMIN / PASS info and go in and make the change for you. This WOULD be a very nice touch if some documentation on the process they followed to achieve this result was included with there response to your service request. Most of the time you will just get something like “I have made the change.” The end result is your left with one example of a working instance and you the end user are completely powerless to reproduce another instance because your still just as stuck as ever. When you ask for instruction on the process, your answer will be rushed and incomplete and will look something like “Please read your documentation on how to do this.” when will have to ask for extra clarification meaning a issue that could have been solved with to sentences of descriptive text drags out in to 3 to 5 (and no I’m not exaggerating) lost in productivity on your end.

Summery: - Great looking templates. - Missing files from your download. - Incomplete documentation. - Slow and incompetent support.

Suggestions for improvment: Your support team is compermising your professional image, I was taught very early in my career that “Your product is only as good as the support that stands behind it.” If you can’t hire professionals do service your existing clients then you shouldn’t be trying to cultavite new ones. Raise the prices of your templates, use the increase of capital to fund a higher calabur of support.

Trust me, it WILL be worth in in the long run. “Life is easy when you live it the hard way”

Hello, I happen to like this theme a lot. And my experience with customer service/help has been good.

I have a question on image sizes… What is the best or maximum size + resolution for these images: 1. featured image on big image listing 2. full width featured images 3. portfolio / lightbox images 4. product images (not the thumbnails)

Ok so I get this theme to work, except that it it is VERY unfriendly to other simple plugins. Whatever plugin I install and try to use, it won’t quiet work the way it should. The plugin icon doesn’t now show up in the CMS editor, just doesn’t work as it would normally work on the basic 2011 wordpress template.

Is there some kind of block built into the theme? Honestly, this makes me think twice to use this template again for anything, if it’s so unfriendly towards plugins.

A template should be open ended to allow high degrees of customization with other plugins.

Your feedback is appreciated.

P.S. Your support system is rather odd and slow, why not just answer questions right here and get to the point?

For example try adding the audiobar plugin with the theme. When you install it, it should automatically add its own icon in the page editor. Go to any page, and you will not see the icon. It just omits it. This is the same for all other plugins. Frustrating as holy batmobiles!

Yeah I agree with elegantrebel I simply need to know how to remove the toolbar from the side of my site and after setting up the lame support area after 2 days my ticket says unread! Why not just answer it here so others having a similar problem can get on with it.. Come on please..

I must say that I totally agree with Johnyct’s comments above. The theme is very difficult to work with the documentation is thin and vague and the support department are terrible. I have had a query in with them for weeks now and have received NOTHING in the way of help or even acknowledgement of my problem.

This is very disappointing.

I hate venting my frustration in this public forum but I am nearing the end of my patience… perhaps this comment will prompt some action and if not at least it may save someone else the frustration of trying to get help with this theme.

I use Wordpress MU, so I can update the sites of my clients easily. I installed the theme and gave my client the administrator option, but they cannot acces the origami options (the can access testimonials and portfolio). Is there anything I can do so I can give this access? It is needed to this for them.

(This theme is used for one client. According to the rules. No distribution!)

In the custom code, I just entered a shortcode in the box, just need to play around with the css a bit for it to align properly but other than that it worked.

This is the best e-commerce site I have worked with. Their documentation gives an overview of what can be changed and is very easy to read.

However if you are stuck for what to do (which happens in every project) their support system is fantastic. Very prompt and they fixed both of my problems (which were entirely my fault to begin with).

I cannot complain about this product, worth every penny and I recommend anyone (from beginner to extreme professional) to buy this product. It’s got everything you could want.

My website has been down for over 20 days. I tried to upload a simple google + plugin and it crashed the whole site down. Been speaking to my hosting provider who has been working to try and get this website up and running.

This is the message I got from him..

No it looks like after all of this, the developers of the theme have been the root issue. Using HTTPFOX a FireFox plugin the site shows that the theme is hard coded to call back to the theme provider which is the root reason for failure. If you re-upload it will show the same issue, this would be the case also on any other hosting platform. We need the theme provider to explain what needs to be changed; once confirmed it will correct the issue.

My homepage content completely disappeared after several week of working good.

I was making modifications to the Custom Content section of our website (Origami->Homepage Options) and when I made the change, the home page became “Sample Post”. I set up the home page to be a static page under Settings->Reading and adjusted accordingly until I can get a fix from your team.

The only problem with this temporary fix is that we can’t use the slider to feature highlights of our products until we hear from you.

This is a live e-commerce site and I haven’t received a response.

You guys want everyone to go to the “http://help.gothemeteam.com” for support so that others that may be interested in this theme can’t see that your theme repeatedly fails.

All I get is a complete lack of accountability and responsibility from your “support team” and blaming me that I modified the theme php files (which is a complete fabrication) and that you are not responsible for the sub-par coding job equating to the epic hose-job that I and other subsequent theme owners will get to enjoy if they make the mistake of purchasing this theme.
