Hi there!,

Can i change the default size of the Product Lightbox Hover Zoom: Width and Height which is currently 455 and 410 respectively?

I want the the value to be 300 and 450 and everytime i add a product, the hover zoom have have this default instead of 455 and 410.

I tried changing it in the customizer under appearance, but the default value did not change when i tried to add a new product again.

thanks!

PixelStores

Hi,

Yes you are right there seems to be a bug, please find find the meta_product_gallery.php in the following zip and replace the current one in the following directory,

/outlet/includes/pixelstores/custom/custom/meta_product_gallery.php

Thanks for the report!

Hello,

First of all thank you very much for this incredible template! I am just having one isue, I have installed the Woocommerce Ogone plugin, but when I enable it, it doesn’t show up at the payment methods. The Paypal and Bank transfer do work. All the others like the mijireh etc do show up when enabling it. But the Ogone does not. Maybe an issue with the template or?

Thank you for the response. Regards! Philip

PixelStores

Hi Philip,

I’m not familiar with that extension and doesn’t seem to be alot of information at the docs.

They say try disabling the current theme and activate the default WordPress theme and make sure the only plugins activated are the ogone and WooCommerce plugin.

This way we can distinguish if its theme/plugin related.

Hi,

Problem is solved, it seems that you first have to fill in all the data from Ogone in the Woocommerce menu before the button appears.

Hello, first of all congratulations for the theme. I would like to make some changes as I have seen in discussion with Cianos, about the theme Outlet. The sections single product I would like to insert the tabs on the right of the photo as in his example, always with the white background but do not know which file I need to change, I also like to put a photo in the “custom pattern,” which appears under the title page of the shop but that will not happen again in the individual product. Can you do? Thank you in advance, Franco.

PixelStores

Hi,

Thankyou for your kind words :)

If i understand correctly you want the tab content to be a white background?

If so you can use the following css in the style.css file,

.woocommerce-tabs .panel {
    background: #fff !important;
}

and you can remove the css code mentioned in Cianos post,

.single-product div.layout.diagonal {
    background: none !important;
}

Then you have the option to change the background within the customizer.

Alternatively you can use some css,

.product-wrap {
    background-image: url(images/backgrounds/lightpaperfibers.png) !important;
}

Hi there, Thank you for this beautiful theme. I’m looking for some shortcodes for: > Buttons >Tables

Are they available yet or any plan to add these in a future update?

PixelStores

Hi,

Yes we do have plans to improve the shortcodes and the functionality but can’t give you a deadline on this.

For a temp solution you could use the Easy Table plugin which is compatible with outlet for tables.

For buttons there are a number of tutorials on the web which you could try to implement.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the answer. Easy Table will be perfect. For the buttons, well I need short codes. I am going to try this plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/shortcodes-ultimate/

Hello, I am just having trouble changing the background. I have gone into ‘customize theme’ options and added a new file under ‘background’ but nothing changes? If you can please help me set a new tiled background that would be great. Thanks ;)

PixelStores

Hi,

This will only change the background to certain elements such as the page titles or the background on the single product pages. To change the overall background you first should activate the ‘outlet-child-blank’ theme and use the following css in the style.css file.

body {
    background-image: url(images/background.jpg);
}

The layout box shortcode is also something you may be interested in using as these can have different backgrounds.

Seen on the elements page you can use the following,

[layout_box bg="lines"]
[/layout_box]

When you write a new page click on the ‘Layout Box’ shortcode icon in the editor to see the list of backgrounds.

Hello,

I have a similar problem that someone else has already mentioned: logo is not centering on the page

I have the Boxed Child Theme activated and have inserted this code Upload and activate the child blank theme and within the style.css add the following,

.logo { text-align: center; width: 100%; } as suggested – but it does not seem to make a difference.

Can you help me to get the logo centered on the page? Many thanks!

PixelStores

Hi,

A new release has been made available, version 1.5 with the fix. This is for the Style III header.

The css fix was a little different to the one mentioned,

.logo {
    float: none !important;
    text-align: center !important;
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
}

Thanks. That code did the trick! Sorry to be a bother, but I am new to child themes – so to update I simply replace the main theme files and the child theme can remain as is? Thanks!

PixelStores

Hi 8web,

I know this is probably a long shot and likely you have updated successfully, you are correct, you would use the child theme to make any edits and update the main theme.

Sorry for the late reply, i have i have been recovering from surgery and now back to work :)

This is provably really easy to do, but can’t find the file to change blog to a different name. I am able to change it in the top nav. but when I go to that page it says blog on the posts. I want to change it to New & Promotions. Here is the link. http://www.hachishears.com/store/?page_id=80

If you see under the logo it says BLOG, I want to change that.

Thanks for all your support.

PixelStores

Hi There,

The post listings are displayed using a page template. Login with your WordPress admin and navigate to the blog. At the top of the page you should see the WP administration bar where you can edit this page and be able to change the title from there.

Hey! First – great theme! I was wondering if it’s possible to add more fields to the e-mail form? And, if I use another contact Form than MailChimp, is it possible to have your style applied to it? Tried it but it has that generic look y’know. Thanks in advance! // Hans Fahlberg / Sweden

PixelStores

Hi,

Thankyou for your kind words.

I would recommend using a third party plugin such as the “Contact Form 7” plugin for your contact form. Adding more fields to the current form would require some mods to the shortcode found in the following file,

/outlet/includes/pixelstores/shortcodes/shortcodes.php

Regarding addming more fields to the MailChimp plugin, this is possible but you have to make sure the inputs has the following class,

class="text"

Also you would need to define what fields are being used in the mailchimp.com settings. Access your current list and click the settings link, look for the following link,

List fields and *|MERGE|* tags

It would probably require a little css to shape things up a bit. You could always send me your details via email and be happy to take a look.

Hi, Great theme and support. I have a couple of questions:

1) On the product page, I’m using the “product short description” for the primary (and only) description of my product. I’d like to put content below that section, but when I use the main text editor, my content is put into a stylized product description box (similar to tabs). How do I get rid of that so that I can put content down without the styling like any normal page?

2) Icons. I cant find the icons in the style sheet. Desperately need to change their background color. Any ideas?

3) Is there a way to hide the category link on a product page?

Please let me know! Best and thanks again!

PixelStores

Hi There,

Thankyou for your patience for not replying sooner, i’m not sure if you were aware but i was on recovery leave.

1. I think what you are after is to remove the tabs and replace with normal content. For this you would locate the tabs.php file.

/outlet/woocommerce/single-product/tabs/tabs.php

and replace all the code with the following,

http://pastie.org/8348898

Now you are free to use the shortcodes custom layout boxes..e.t.c.

[layout_box]
[one_half]
<h3>One Half</h3>
<p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Maecenas porttitor gravida mi, eu mollis est venenatis posuere.</p>
[/one_half]

[one_half_last]
<h3>One Half</h3>
<p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Maecenas porttitor gravida mi, eu mollis est venenatis posuere.</p>
[/one_half_last]
[/layout_box]

2. To change the icons colour you can use the following css,

i.icon {
    background-color: #b64e4e !important;
}

3. To remove the category link locate to the following file,

/outlet/woocommerce/single-product/meta.php

and remove the following,

<?php echo $product->get_categories( ', ', '<span class="posted_in">' . _n( 'Category:', 'Categories:', sizeof( get_the_terms( $post->ID, 'product_cat' ) ), 'woocommerce' ) . ' ', '.</span>' ); ?>

Themes looks briliant. but.. ;) Could you add latin and latin-extended version of google fonts?

I’ve change it manually adding “&subset=latin,latin-ext” to each “font line” in outlet\includes\theme_scripts.php and have no problem until next update :/

PixelStores

Hi,

Thankyou :)

Yes there are plans to add more google fonts for the future release.

Hi There, Great Theme! Have you tried the theme with the translation plugin from WPML.org?

Cheers, T.

PixelStores

Hi T,

Thankyou for your kind words,

Unfortunately i do not have a copy of the WPML to test but i’m confident the theme will be compatible and won’t break. The usual WordPress functions are used and you shouldn’t have any conflict issues.

I could always try help you setup with the plugin if you encounter any problems.

Can you help me figure something out? In the demo site it shows that you can split the footer up into several columns, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to do it. I’ve tried custom menus and placed those in the footer, but that just stacks them in one column…. I’ve tried the footer widget, but that doesn’t do it either…

Thank you much! -Hannah

Sorry for all this questions, but where do you change the color for the place order button on checkout?

<input type=”submit” class=”button alt” name=”woocommerce_checkout_place_order” id=”place_order” value=”Place order” />

PixelStores

Hi,

No worries,

You could always use some css to style this button,

.woocommerce #payment #place_order.button {
    float: right;
    margin: 0;
    cursor: pointer;
    -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased;
      background-color: #e5e !important;
      background-image: none !important;
    border: 1px solid #e8eaf0;
    color: #fff !important;
    padding: 8px 0;
    text-align: center;
    text-shadow: none;
    text-align: center;
    padding: 10px;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    font: 600 11px 'Ubuntu', sans-serif !important;
}

I’m curious about removing the “Sign up now” and “Show details” hover buttons on recent products. Thanks!

PixelStores

Hi,

To remove the hover buttons for the recent product shortcode your best bet would be to create a custom loop for the products unless of course you are happy in having the buttons removed throughout the site, in this case find the following file,

/outlet/woocommerce/loop/add-to-cart.php

Then remove three lines of code,

<a href="<?php echo apply_filters( 'out_of_stock_add_to_cart_url', get_permalink( $product->id ) ); ?>" class="button"><?php echo apply_filters( 'out_of_stock_add_to_cart_text', __( 'Read More', 'woocommerce' ) ); ?></a>
echo apply_filters( 'woocommerce_loop_add_to_cart_link', sprintf('<a href="%s" rel="nofollow" data-product_id="%s" data-product_sku="%s" class="%s button product_type_%s">%s</a>', esc_url( $link['url'] ), esc_attr( $product->id ), esc_attr( $product->get_sku() ), esc_attr( $link['class'] ), esc_attr( $product->product_type ), esc_html( $link['label'] ) ), $product, $link );
printf('<a href="%s" rel="nofollow" data-product_id="%s" class="show_details_button button product_type_%s">%s</a>', $permalink, $product->id, $product->product_type, $texturl);

Alternatively you could use some CSS to hide the buttons for the recent products shortcode but you will have to make a slight change to the shortcode.

In this file
/outlet/includes/pixelstores/shortcodes/shortcodes.php

Look for the recent product shortcode code, seen here,

http://pastie.org/8349019

Replace the following,

http://pastie.org/8349028

with

http://pastie.org/8349029

Then add some css to the style.css file.

#recent-products .button {
    display: none;
}

Hi there

I’m having a slight problem with my site http://www.echidnastudios.co.uk where on the checkout page the Order section is covered up by the subscribe box and the footer, not allowing for the completion of a transaction. Is there a way I can fix this?

Thanks and hope you get better soon!

G

PixelStores

Hi G!

Looks like managed to resolve this?

For the subscription box, you can find the code used for the MailChimp for WP plugin in the Outlet docs under the ‘Theme Content’ section, this will then display the styling like the demo.

PS: I’m now fit enough to work :)
