Is there anyway when the customer adding a product the cart to select colour from a predefined colour swatches product attribute rather than dropdown with text colour description?

Also is there anyway I can add sort by highest discount (different between original price and sale price) from the order by dropdown? Thank you.

1. By default WooCommerce doesn’t have such feature but there is an extension available that may interest you.

Variation Swatches and Photos

2. This doesn’t seem to be an option for the sorting dropdown but there is some code available at the woo docs,

Custom Sorting Options

It would require a php calculation that finds out the difference between the product regular and sale price and list them accordingly in ascending order, ive spent sometime trying to achieve this but no luck, may i suggest asking this question at the wp stackexchange.

Make reference to the woo docs snippet, i’m sure somebody with a bit more php knowledge will be able to provide a solution.

How do we disable mobile version? We would like the website to appear on our phones as it does on a desktop computer.

Thanks, we love your theme!!

Probably the simplest way is to remove the following from the header.php file,

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1, maximum-scale=1">

The theme will still act responsive but not on devices.

To fully disable remove the media queries in the style sheets,
@media only screen and (min-width: 768px) and (max-width: 995px) { }
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { }
@media only screen and (min-width: 480px) and (max-width: 767px) { }
@media only screen and (max-width: 479px) { }

And to deactivate the responsive menu remove the following from the outlet/assets/custom.js file,

$('#menu').meanmenu({meanScreenWidth: "767"});

That should do it.

Thanks :)

Looks great. Pre-sale question: When you say “unlimited colors” does that mean it’s relatively easy to make the Theme “Dark” with light text? thanks, Andy

Hi There,

With the current colour options you can change the overall colour scheme, (currently orange) to any colour, also the header colours can be adjusted.

To make the theme into a dark version you won’t be able to do this via the options, we have provided a blank child theme that should be used for any additional styles, so css can be added alongside.

With the child theme activated a service can be used such as Firebug, basically allowing you to change style elements in your browser, without the need of knowing alot about css.

Thanks :)

Question 1: I’d like to get rid of the price listing on the recent_products_slider that displays. Instead, I’d like to place attributes or even plain text.

Question 2: I don’t want to show “in stock” or categories on the product page (example on the demo is Category: Dresses under “Add to Cart”).

1. It is possible to display the terms from an attribute that is associated with the product on the recent product slider.

Unfortunately though if you want custom text to display for each product on the slider this will require some work, perhaps a new meta box for the “edit” product page that has a text box to fill in and then echo’s in the woocommerce loop.

To display certain terms for an attribute assuming the recent products are on the home/front page please add the following to the functions.php file.

add_action('woocommerce_after_shop_loop_item_title','remove_price_tag_frontpage', 5);

function remove_price_tag_frontpage() {
    if ( is_front_page() ) {
        remove_action('woocommerce_after_shop_loop_item_title', 'woocommerce_template_loop_price', 10);
        add_action('woocommerce_after_shop_loop_item_title','outlet_inlcude_product_terms', 5);

function outlet_inlcude_product_terms() {
    global $woocommerce, $product;
    $terms = get_the_terms( $product->id, 'pa_shop-category');
    echo '<span class="term">';
    foreach ( $terms as $term ) {
        $termtext[] = $term->name;
    $echotermtext = join( " / ", $termtext );
    echo $echotermtext;
    echo '</span>';

What the above code does is removes the current price tags and displays the terms for the attribute “pa_shop-category” that is associated with the product.

Be sure to change the “pa_shop-category” in the above code.

To find out the “pa_shop-category” this is the taxonomy. Via Products > Attributes in the dashboard click on the “edit” link for the attribute you want displayed. In the URL or address bar you will see something like this,

Notice the “pa_shop-category” string, yours will probably be different, this example is from the demo content that you imported, its the “Shop Category” attribute.

If all goes correctly you should have the terms displayed, some additional styling to these will be useful,

ul.slide-products li.product .term {
    color: #908f91;
    display: block;
    font-weight: normal;
    text-align: center;
    font-size: 0.8em;
    margin-top: -22px;
    padding-bottom: 1.6em;
    text-transform: uppercase;

2. To remove the stock and categories on the single product page, you need to modify the woocommerce template and remove the following code.

Hi. Amazing theme! Can I change the name of theme folder from “outlet” to “whathever”?? Thanks

Hi and Thankyou :)

I wouldn’t recommend changing the theme folder as some image paths may differ, but i believe this is only related to the shortcode icons in the posts WYSIWYG editor.

Hi there,

A question about brands slider : I would like to display a slider of brands coming from a BrandSet. My aim is to have different sliders, each one calling a different brandset. Can you explain how to do that ?

Kind Regards

I made some changes to the recent brands shortcode that gives you this capability.

Please locate to the following file,

and look for this code,

and replace with,

By making the change you then can use the parameter “brandset” to define what set of brands you want to be shown,

[recent_brands_slider title="SHOE BRANDS" brandset="nike, adidas" items="6" scroll="1"]

Your welcome :)

I bought a template outlet.

Please tell me because I am a beginner.

Where can I find the instructions to install the template, and to work on it? What program to open the file extensions, in which there is a description of everything associated with that template.

Thank you in advance for your reply

Firstly thankyou for purchasing Outlet,

To use Outlet you must first have some web hosting with WordPress installed, majority of hosts have a service such as simple scripts that you can automatically install WordPress with a few clicks.

When you have successfully installed WordPress on your server you can then refer to the Outlet documentation.

The documentation is within the zip package you downloaded from ThemeForest.

Within the “Theme Content” section in the docs we have provided a screencast tutorial on how to setup your site as like the demo.

In short here are the steps,

1. Install WordPress.

2. Upload the “outlet.zip” theme via FTP or through the WordPress dashboard and activate.

3. Install the recommended plugins, WooCommerce, Mailchimp for WP, e.t.c.

4. Import demo content.

5. Publish/Edit products.

The outlet.zip file is the theme zip, within this archive you will see the php, css files, these files do not have to be modified, unless of course you want to apply custom mods.

Just installed. WOW. Great job!

Hi, :)

I would like to add the field to register in my account.

In your template it has to register: http://demo.pixelstores.com/?theme=Viroshop

I would also add the Theme Outlet.

Hi There,

Locate to the WooCommerce > Settings within the WordPress dashboard. Under the “General” tab make sure the “Allow registration on the “My Account” page” checkbox to be checked.

Kind Regards

Thank you,

I have another doubt.

My filter by price not working, is there any configuration to do?

The price filter widget will only function on the product archives.

You can use the widget on the “Shop” or Shop Category” widget area, to learn more about the WooCommerce widgets this may be useful.

Hi, How can I reorder the items in the frontpage slider carousel? I would like to change the order from left to right. Thanks.

With the product sliders by default are sorted by date, you can change the orderby parameter to your preference as long as it meets one of the parameters from WordPress codex.

We have made a slight change to the shortcodes that now gives you access to the “order” parameter, so your product slider shortcode could look like this,

[recent_products_slider order="ASC" orderby="date" items="5" scroll="1"]

Please download and extract the zip from here, and upload via FTP to replace the current shortcodes.php file.

I’ve got a problem with the contact form which doesn’t seem to send e-mail, whereas other e-mails (woocommerce…) are sent. I didn’t install any other plugin which could create conflict with form. Do you have an idea ?

The contact form submission sends the email to your WordPress installation address, the form emails may end up in you junk mail folder or if your using the theme on your localhost it may not function correctly.

If you could send me an email via my profile with your website address and login details i would like to take a look and investigate further.

Hi! your theme look very nice! just some questions Is the theme compatible with WPML plugin? Can I add a table made with “easy table plugin” in the product detail page? thanks in advance

Thankyou for your interest :)

I havn’t been able to get hold of the WPML plugin to test the compatibility with Outlet but i reckon the functionality should work fine in conjunction with the WooCommerce WPML plugin.

I installed the “easy table” plugin and seems to be working well with the theme. Nice little plugin indeed.

Hi, I can’t find the Tabs/Toggle shortcodes. Can you help me?

Here are the tabs and toggle shortcodes,

Kind Regards

Is there any guide to edit and install the template?

Yes, when you download the zip archive from ThemeForest, extract this zip and you will see the folder “Documentation”.

Open the index.html in your browser.

The latest version is awesome so far! Regarding the mobile version:

The Subscribe button is oval as opposed to rectangular like on the desktop version. Is that intentional?

For the Product Gallery, it shows a blurred duplicate of the Product Image. And if there’s only one product gallery image, I think it might look like a “bug” mistake.

Hi Chris,

Please check your email :)

It worked! Thanks again.

Hi again,

Regarding MailChimp subscription field in footer:

I was fiddling around with the html coding to get First and Last Name fields on the same line as the Email field but I think I messed something up, because MailChimp plug-in no longer is receiving my test subscriptions.

I erased the plug-in, erased my cache, etc., reinstalled the Outlet theme and it still doesn’t work. When I click subscribe, it simply refreshes the page, with no confirmation tagline like before and no subscriptions are recorded to MailChimp.

I did message the plug-in developer to see what he says, but in the meantime I figure you might have a solution as well.

More than likely the plugin configuration isn’t setup correctly. I have sent you an email, if you could provide the MailChimp API also i will try and get this working.

Kind Regards

Thanks for the support!

Hi there!

First, congrats for the awesome template, very nice and easy to install and configure.

Second, I have a question. Can I upgrade my to Wordpress 3.6? or Is it better to just leave the template working on version 3.5?

Thankyou :)

Outlet 1.3 is compatible with WordPress 3.6. I think you may be using Outlet 1.2 so please download the update via ThemeForest. To upgrade i did the following.

1. Deactivate and delete the Outlet theme via your WordPress admin and activate the default theme.

2. Delete the Layer Slider and WooCommerce Ajax Layered Nav plugins.

3. Update your WordPress.

4. Upload and install the new outlet.zip theme archive via the Themes section or the preferable method using FTP. (activate theme)

5. Install the new LayerSlider, MailChimp for WP, and Ajax Layered Nav plugins.

6. Goto the Permalinks settings to resolve any link issues.

You are safe to delete the current outlet theme and need not to worry about losing any theme settings. Be sure to first deactivate the old outlet version before making the WordPress update.

Kind Regards

Thank you. I follow the instructions and both wordpress and the theme with the new upgrade, are working fine. :bigsmile:

How do you set up the shop page and add products to that page? You went over how to add most of the pages on the documentation but did not mention the shop page?

Hi There,

For the shop page it should have been automatically created. In the WooCommerce > Settings under the pages tab please select the appropriate values for the select boxes, just to let WooCommerce know what pages are what.

Upon saving the products should now display on the “Shop” base page.

Kind Regards

First of all, I really like the style of the theme, but I have some issues with the logo. On an iPad the logo becomes very small and out of center (horizontal and vertical), also with the Outlet logo. How can I fix this?

Kind regards

Hi There,

Could you be able send me your website address via my profile so i can investigate further.
