How can i turn the payment details off. That you only can order and the payment is required.

PixelStores

Hi,

I’m not sure if i fully understand but i think you want to disable the billing/shipping address? In this case you would copy/paste the following into the functions.php file,

add_action('woocommerce_checkout_init','fused_disable_billing_shipping');
function fused_disable_billing_shipping($checkout){
    $checkout->checkout_fields['billing']=array();
    $checkout->checkout_fields['shipping']=array();
    return $checkout;
}

add_action('woocommerce_checkout_before_customer_details','fused_begin_hide_html');
function fused_begin_hide_html(){
    echo "<!-- ";
}
add_action('woocommerce_checkout_after_customer_details','fused_end_hide_html');
function fused_end_hide_html(){
    echo " --> ";
}

Hi there, very nice theme!

I want to know if there’s an easy way to move the tabbed section to the right of the image, like this;

http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/9684/olnb.jpg

Thank you

PixelStores

Hi,

1. Yes, i would try to keep to this method and use the custom product tabs plugin, it would be a more robust method. For the lists try the following,

http://pastie.org/8234260

This should work as the css style is global and not specifically set for certain elements, but i’d be happy to take a look at your site if the lists are not displaying correctly, more than likely a simple css fix.

2. To set the background colour to white try the following css,

.shortcode-tabs .panel {
    background: #fff;
}

3. You can reposition the tabs by changing the end value of the action, so in the previous comment i suggested to use this,

add_action('woocommerce_single_product_summary', 'woocommerce_output_product_data_tabs', 10);

To place the tabs below the button you would use the value 30 like so,

add_action('woocommerce_single_product_summary', 'woocommerce_output_product_data_tabs', 30);

If you want the add to cart button to display on the right of the price it would require a little more mods,

Locate to the following file,

/outlet/woocommerce/single-product/price.php

and look for this line of code,

<p itemprop="price" class="price"><?php echo $product->get_price_html(); ?></p>

replace with,

<div class="price"><?php echo $product->get_price_html(); ?><?php do_action('outlet_after_price');?></div>

then in the functions.php file add the following,

remove_action('woocommerce_single_product_summary', 'woocommerce_template_single_add_to_cart', 30);
add_action('outlet_after_price', 'woocommerce_template_single_add_to_cart', 10);

Add a little styling to the style.css file,

.woocommerce div.product div.summary div.price {
    font: normal 700 18px/26px "Open Sans", sans-serif;
    color: #f3832d;
    padding-top: 15px;
    padding-bottom: 15px;
    display: table;
    width: 100%;
    border-top: 1px solid #dfdfdf;
    border-bottom: 1px solid #dfdfdf;
    margin-bottom: 1em;
}
.woocommerce-page div.product form.cart {
    margin-bottom: 1em;
    display: table-cell;
    width: 180px;
}

If all goes well it should look like this,

Hi again, we’ve implemented the above and it’s working well.

However, on Firefox and smartphone the page is disrupted, please see the following;

Firefox : http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/7931/65gt.jpg

Phone: http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/8893/e27n.png

Thank you

Hi There,

For the FireFox fix remove the following css that you used in the previous comment,

.woocommerce-page div.product form.cart {
    margin-bottom: 1em;
    display: table-cell;
    width: 180px;
}

Then in the style.css add this,

.woocommerce div.product div.summary .price span.amount {
    float: left;
}
.woocommerce-page div.product form.cart {
    margin-bottom: 0em;
    text-align: right;
}
.single_add_to_cart_button {
    float: right;
}
.woocommerce div.product form.cart div.quantity {
    margin: 0 5px 0 0;
    display: inline-block;
}
.woocommerce-page div.product form.cart {
    margin-bottom: 0 !important;
    display: inline-block;
    float: right;
}
.woocommerce div.product div.summary div.price {
    font: normal 700 18px/26px "Open Sans", sans-serif;
    color: #f3832d;
    padding-top: 15px;
    padding-bottom: 15px;
    display: table;
    width: 100%;
    border-top: 1px solid #dfdfdf;
    border-bottom: 1px solid #dfdfdf;
    margin-bottom: 1em;
}

Regarding the product image not displaying correctly for the device, the actual script that is used for the Hover Zoom feature isn’t responsive but there is a temp solution, in the style.css look for the media query,

@media only screen and (max-width: 479px) {
}

ad add the following within the media so the output is like this,

@media only screen and (max-width: 479px) {
.etalage img{
    width: 250px !important;
    height: auto !important;
    clear: both !important;
}

.etalage {
    height: 260px !important;
}
}

Ok in total after a 2 hours fight I managed to figure it out (no php experience) haha. Thank you for the help!

Might I advise you to make this a standard in your next templates? Also I would suggest you to not put the logo in h1. For SEO purposes we prefer to have only 1 h1 and that’s the page titel.

Keep up the good work!

PixelStores

Many thanks for your kind words.

Agreed, i’m not entirely sure why i even went with a H1 logo tag but will fix in the next update and will make the cart nofollow.

Thankyou for your suggestions :)

This Outlet theme is by far the best e-commerce template I’ve used. Every graphic element is intentional, stylish and elegant and really lets the product and copywriting emanate for a better buying decision. It’s professional, minimalist yet bold, incredibly customizable—I could go on! Great theme, PixelStores.

PixelStores

Many thanks Chris :)

I need help to change to color for the mobile versions. I can’t find the css code to change it from the default color. Thanks!

PixelStores

Hi,

Within the style.css file in the outlet theme folder are the media queries for mobile devices, you will see code like this further towards the bottom of the file.

@media only screen and (min-width: 768px) and (max-width: 995px) { }
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { }
@media only screen and (max-width: 479px) { }

So for example if you want to change the background colour of the body element for a small screen such as a mobile you would use something like this,

@media only screen and (max-width: 479px) {
body {
    background-color: #ff393c;
}
}

The background colour will change for devices smaller than 479px.

Hope this helps. :)

Kind Regards

Default-user

Thanks, However I don’t want to change the background color for the body, but for the navigation when the site its viewed from a smart device. What is the name for the div class for the navigation?

PixelStores

Hi,

You can find the css that is used for the “slide” down navigation in the meanmenu.css file.

/outlet/assets/css/meanmenu.css

You can either modify this or add your own css to the media queries in the style.css, for example,

@media only screen and (max-width: 479px) {
.mean-container .mean-bar {
    background-color: pink;
}
}

Also where can I change text “View Cart” button in the mini pop up cart box. I tried to change the text at cart/mini-cart.php but it didn’t seems to change anything.

PixelStores

Hi There,

I managed to do a bit of modifications to display a select box next to the sorting on the shop page that gives the ability to select how many products to show per page.

Locate to the functions.php file and copy/paste the following,

http://pastie.org/8238063

Locate to the custom.js file,

/outlet/assets/js/custom.js

Just below this,

jQuery(document).ready(function($) {

add the following,

$(function(){
    $('select.perpage').on('change', function () {
        $(this).closest("form").submit()
    });
});

This should function correctly but you probably want to add some styles to the style.css file,

select.perpage {
    margin-right: 10px;
    display: block;
}
.pptext {
    float: right;
    font-weight: bold;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    font-size: 10px;
    margin-right: 5px;
}

If all goes well you should have something looking like this,

To change the “View Cart” text locate this text in the two files,

/outlet/templates/default-header.php
/outlet/includes/theme_woocommerce.php

Depending on what header you are using you can find the correct file to edit in the templates folder.

hi there,

I just love the theme.. working very nice… Just a small thing I need some help with. Almost all is translated very well (dutch WP) but some of the buttons are not somehow? I cant find the right solution where to look. e.g the buttons “view cart” and “checkout” are not translated, when I hover a product 1 part is translated “buy” I think becuase it says “kopen” (dutch) but the other part is not, “show details”. Also when adding a product to cart it shows english text? “proceed to checkout” is also a button not translated. So, can someone help me and point me in the right direction to make these changes to dutch!

Thnx all

Marnix

PixelStores

Hi There,

Hmm, the translation strings are setup correctly but you could manually enter your translation.

1. For the shopping cart buttons, such as “View Cart” and “Checkout” you can enter your custom text in the following files,

/outlet/templates/default-header.php
/outlet/includes/theme_woocommerce.php

Look for the relevant code to translate:

http://pastie.org/8240573

2. For the hover buttons the translation strings can be found in this file,

/outlet/woocommerce/loop/add-to-cart.php

3. In the theme_woocommerce.php, look for the following,

<?php $message = sprintf('<a href="%s" class="button">%s</a> %s', $return_to, __('Continue Shopping', 'woocommerce'), __('Product successfully added to your cart.', 'woocommerce') ); ?>

and

<?php $message = sprintf('<a href="%s" class="button">%s</a> %s', get_permalink(woocommerce_get_page_id('cart')), __('View Cart', 'woocommerce'), __('Product successfully added to your cart.', 'woocommerce') ); ?>

Thanks for pointing out these translation strings issues, i will have to do a bit of debugging to see what exactly is causing the problem.

Hi,

Just a quick question, how can I change the facebook and twitter icon colour in the header, I can see that it pulls in the hover state, but can’t seem to alter the normal state?

PixelStores

Hi,

You can add the additional css to the style.css file,

.social-icons li a i.icon-facebook-circled {
    color: #3B5998;
}
.social-icons li a i.icon-twitter-circled {
    color: #4099FF;
}
.social-icons li a i.icon-flickr-circled {
    color: #0063DC;
}
.social-icons li a i.icon-gplus-circled {
    color: #d34836;
}
.social-icons li a i.icon-pinterest-circled {
    color: #C92228;
}
.social-icons li a i.icon-tumblr-circled {
    color: #00225F;
}
.social-icons li a i.icon-dribbble-circled {
    color: #C73B6F;
}

Hi, You created a great theme. It was easy to setup and customize the layout. Nice work.

Could you tell me how to change the dimensions of the product images on the homepage, cart, etc. ? They are square by default and I need them to be more of a vertical rectangle. Thanks!

PixelStores

Hi There,

Many thanks for your kind words :)

The height for the products displayed in the Shop, homepage e.t.c are set to auto, but you can try playing around with the image dimensions in the WooCommerce > Settings in the Catalog tab.

The actual single product image if you choose to use the “Hover Zoom” feature would require a change in the etalage.js file,

/outlet/assets/js/etalage.js

Look for the following values to change,

thumb_image_height: 410
thumb_image_width: 455

Kind Regards

I’m about to purchase this theme, but I wanted to ask the developer about future updates. What would you recommend to make the updating process smooth? Do I need to create a child theme?

Thanks!

PixelStores

Hi Andy,

I think i know what you mean on this, when the site goes into responsive the logo shrinks to fit within the device’s width, but testing this with a large logo the logo height doesn’t seem to adjust proportionally with the new width.

Could you be able to try some code for me, in the style.css look for the css media query with the logo styling,

@media only screen and (max-width: 479px) {
.logo img {
    max-width: 300px !important;
}
}

Add the following css to the .logo img,

.logo img {
    max-width: 300px !important;
    height: auto !important;
}

Let me know how that works out for you.

Kind Regards

AJDesignCo

That worked. The logo now adjusts proportionally. Thank you!

PixelStores

Good stuff! :)

A couple of questions.

1. Is there a special tutorial page?

2. How can I add the list of brands on my homepage like you have on your demo page?

3. How can I add my phone number, address, and hours, to the top of the page, above the menu?

PixelStores

Hi There,

1. Within the download zip from ThemeForest, you will find the documentation, if you head over to the “Theme Content” section we have provided a screencast on how to setup the theme to match the demo.

2. After you have installed and imported the demo content you will see the brands shortcode,

[recent_brands_slider title="Brands" items="6" scroll="1"]

3. Could you be able to provide a JPG with the address, phone number e.t.c of the new header? With the design i can work of i’ll be able to provide some code/solution at no additional cost.

Is this theme known to have speed issues? It is an extremely slow load time.

PixelStores

Hi There,

I haven’t received any comments regarding the speed of the theme, in development i made it so only the necessary files are loaded for that particular page/post e.t.c to reduce loading.

The speed could be related to the host your with, we use bluehost for our hosting.

You could try a number of things to speed up your WordPress,

https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=speed+up+wordpress&oq=speed+up+wordpress&aqs=chrome.0.69i57j0l3j69i62l2.4596j0&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

How can I center the menu on style 3?

PixelStores

Hi,

If your using the style III header without the shopping cart you can try using this css within the style.css file,

#menu {
    float: none !important;
    margin-left: auto !important;
    margin-right: auto !important;
    width: 800px;
}

If you have the shopping cart you play around with the left margin,

#menu {
    float: left;
    margin-left: 20px !important;
}

As the menu is more or less centered you won’t need to configure to much.

Kind Regards

Default-user

I am using this without the shopping cart and this did not work. I edited it by going to appearance then editor. I added it in. Is there a specific spot?

PixelStores

Hi,

Ah yes locate to the editor and within the style.css add the following,

#menu {
    width: 800px;
    float: none !important;
    margin-right: auto !important;
    margin-left: auto !important;
}

This should work. :)

Kind Regards

I didn’t see any documentation on how to do a two column shortcode, could you tell me how to do this? Is it also possible to have the left column a bit shorter then the right column? Let me know what both codes are so I can play around.

Great theme.

PixelStores

Hi There,

For columns you can try the column shortcodes, we have made a reference to these under the shortcodes section in the documentation,

For a half and half column you would use the shortcodes like this,

[one_half]
Content
[/one_half]
[one_half_last]
Content
[/one_half_last]

Because Outlet is built using a grid system you could include custom div elements for your preferred columns. A little less width for the left column would be as follows,

<div class="grid_5"><h3>Content is King</h3>
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Maecenas porttitor gravida mi, eu mollis est venenatis posuere.</div>

<div class="grid_7"><h3>Content is King</h3>
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Maecenas porttitor gravida mi, eu mollis est venenatis posuere.</div>

As long as the class grids add up to 12 your layout won’t break.

I see the demo site can add a custom page to “http://demo.pixelstores.com/outlet/shop/?filter_shop-category=15”. But when I add one page to “http://mywebsitelink/shop/?filter_shop-category=xx”, it shows “Page not Found”. How can I active this filter shop-category function?

Thanks

PixelStores

Hi There,

The shop categories you see on the sidebar via the demo are related to the “WooCommerce Ajax Layered Nav” plugin.

If you have this plugin activate you would need to set up the product attributes and terms, for example, the demo has the attribute “Shop Category” with the categories as terms.

Once setup you would use the Ajax Layered Nav widget for your Shop sidebar.

More information regarding the plugin can be seen here.

Thanks, it works! I love this theme. One more question, I select Header styleII. How can I change sub-head background color to black and font-color to white?

PixelStores

Your welcome :)

Some custom styling would be required for this. Look for the outlet-child-blank theme in the download package from ThemeForest and upload/activate via WordPress.

With the child theme you can add code such as css and won’t have to worry about losing any mods when we make updates.

In the appearance > editor look for the style.css and add the following,

.head {
    border-bottom: none  !important;
    background-color: #4e4e4e;
}
#menu ul li a {
    font-weight: 600 !important;
    color: #feffff !important;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    font-size: 12px !important;
}
#menu ul > li > a:hover {
    background: #3e3e3f !important;
    color: #6e6e6f;
}

#menu ul > li > ul > li >a:hover {
    background: #f6f6f6 !important;
}

#menu ul > li > ul > li a {
    color: #919191 !important;
}

I use a visual css editor called CSSEdit for mac to help with stylings, i’m sure there is an alternative for windows.

Firebug for FireFox could help for customisations also.

Kind Regards

So – can I use the lightbox on the HOME page – on a product image – within a GRID? And so clicking (not hover) on the prod image will: 1) popup a window panel 2) show the prod image in the panel 3) show some prod details in the panel 4) include a button to add to cart in the panel AND 5) allow user to scroll previous or next for product images.

Is this possible?

Brian

Hi Brian,

This sounds very familiar to an extension that is available.

WooCommerce Quick View is something worth looking at. I haven’t personally tried it nor the theme compatibility, but the plugin looks promising.

It is using your theme but did have another theme installed previously, very briefly, I had yours installed first then another then yours. I am using a different side to the one you have provided. It is a well known slider and I would have expected it to be functional with all sites. If you know how to fix the problem I could make you an admin whilst you fix it if you don’t mind/ if thats easiest. Thanks again.
