I’ve tried adding a logo (PNG), it’s resized to 80px high. I’m getting this weird code instead of a logo…

It sounds like you server (1and1 by chance?) doesn’t have that option turned on. Get in touch with them and tell them what the error is and they’ll be able to get it fixed.

There’s also a thread concerning this in my support forum. If you have any more issues, I’d appreciate it if you’d open a thread over there.

I’m using Network Solutions. Should I try doing it regular size (40px high)? Different file type?

If it is a hosting problem, exactly what do I need to tell them to fix it? FYI I have the basic Wordpress package with Network Solutions so I don’t have access to my FTP files.

designcrumbs

It is an issue with your hosting. Tell them the errors that you received below and that you need “allow_url_fopen = on”

Will we be able to add buddypress to the template?

designcrumbs

Technically, you can add BuddyPress to any theme and it would work fine. However, this theme doesn’t have any specific styling for BuddyPress.

I am thinking about purchasing this theme. Do you install it or do I?

designcrumbs

You do that yourself. There’s documentation included to help you through installation and setup. The themes you buy here at ThemeForest are just the files, no services (other than support) are included.

Do you have sample of people who have used this?

designcrumbs

Well people don’t really come and tell me that they’re using my themes, but I was able to find a few in my support forum: http://heirsofrestraint.com/http://hlsf.org/http://www.righteousanswering.com/http://www.connecteach.org/

Hi! I installed the Outreach theme and I love it. Our site is turning out really beautiful and functional – datevoutreach.org.

I have a question about the links in the social network portion of theme options. I’d like to have our pages (twitter, fb, youtube) open to a new tab. Is there a way to make that possible? I’m only given an option to insert URL. Thanks for your help!

designcrumbs

You’d need a minor change to the code. Please open a thread at http://support.designcrumbs.com and we’ll help you over there.

Hey, great theme! I’m making a site for a friend’s family’s charity and it’s coming out very nicely! Check it out: http://www.ecuadorschildren.com/site/

I have one request though: can you tell me how I can change the black background color where the logo is and the black area below the slider? I don’t really know HTML or CSS (in the process of educating myself in these topics) so if you could be very specific I would appreciate it! Thanks!

Thanks!

Please open a thread in my support forum http://support.designcrumbs.com and we’ll be able to help you out over there.

Having trouble creating account with the support site. It says my username is taken but ‘charlottehyland’ my envato username.

Why is the footer showing up the way it is?

designcrumbs

Try logging in, if it says your username is taken it likely created an account for you and then an error was triggered somehow.

It looks like there’s an issue with my testimonial widget. I’ll put this on my list of items for the next release. Until then, you can open a thread and we’ll help you with a workaround.

Can I change the background image or do I have to use one of the supplied patterns? Also, how do I add an image in the header space? I can’t seem to find where I can upload these images.

designcrumbs

Ah, gotcha. You’ll need to do that via a child theme. If you open a thread in our support forum we’ll point you in the right direction.

Default-user

I figured it out. Thanks!

designcrumbs

Great!

I’d appreciate a 5 star rating on the theme if you haven’t done so already. Here’s how to do that.

my upcoming event widget doesnt work

designcrumbs

If it’s truly an issue with the widget, you’ll need to contact Modern Tribe about that, as it’s their plugin (http://tri.be) – Otherwise, please open up a thread at http://support.designcrumbs.com and we’ll help you out over there.

Hi, I will be purchasing your theme very soon ( today maybe). Is it pretty easy to change the theme colors? Something like green or blue.

designcrumbs

Thanks for the interest!

It depends on which areas you want to change. There are theme options for things like links and buttons. For anything else (such as the header background color) you’ll need to do so through a child theme stylesheet. A starter child theme is included with the download. If you need additional help with it you can learn more about child themes here or you can open a thread in my support forum http://support.designcrumbs.com

Default-user

Thanks for the link. I guess I will have purchase the the theme first to really see how much I understand. I really like your theme, I will prefer a different color than the dark gray. I will join you support link once I purchase it. I really hope you will be able to help me with this.

designcrumbs

Yup. There’s already a thread about how to change the color of the gray header too ;)

Hey Jake, Quick question – how difficult would it be for me (with plenty of experience in child themes and some custom theme building) to replace or turn off the built in events functionality and replace it with something like Modern Tribe’s Event Calendar Pro? Got a great non-profit client this would work for, but they need some more advanced event functionality that involves registration, etc.

HA, never mind. I can totally read your description that says that you use The Events Calendar for your functionality. Awesome, answers my dumb question, I’ll be using your theme!

designcrumbs

Haha sounds good. See you at WCC!

I purchased this theme and love it so far! The only problem I’m having is the video on the home page will not play. I’ve tried a youtube link and vimeo. Both have error messages.

Is there a plugin I need to install for the video to play?

designcrumbs

There’s a Slides post type on the right, you need to create your slide posts and set featured images for them.

Default-user

Would this be in the Homepage set-up tab? If so, it’s not there. I see “Slides” to my left on the Wordpress Dashboard and tried that but it added my slides to my gallery page.

designcrumbs

It’s the slides on the left of your dashboard. They work like normal posts. That adds the slides to the home page.

Please open a thread in my support forum http://support.designcrumbs.com and leave your URL so we can take a look.

giocity Purchased

Hi I just purchased your theme but many file failed to import and I’m having difficulty with the layout.

designcrumbs

Hi there! Sorry for the delay and thanks for the purchase.

The files that didn’t import are likely because you didn’t have the plugins for them installed (Contact Form 7 and The Events Calendar).

If you’re still having issues please open a thread at http://support.designcrumbs.com and we’ll help you over there.

Hello – I have a pre-purchase question. When view the demo on my iPhone, the the theme does not appear to be entirely responsive. I can see that it scales/resizes on my desktop and iPad but it doesn’t seem to be responsive on my phone. Is there another link for the mobile preview or is it non-responsive on mobile devices? Thanks.

designcrumbs

Hi there, there’s no alternate link for that. However, the theme is fully responsive, designed to display properly on any device. I’m not sure why you’re not able to see the mobile version on your iPhone. When you view the site on your desktop, re-size the window and you should be able to see the desktop, to tablet, to phone layouts. If you’re unable to see the mobile layout on your desktop, please let me know.

Here is a screen shot from my phone: kdcweb.com/Outreach.PNG

designcrumbs

Thanks for the screenshot, that definitely helps. Go ahead and click “Remove Frame” in the top right corner, or view the demo directly here: http://themes.designcrumbs.com/outreach. Sometimes the TF Demo Switcher/Frame can mess with the media queries. Let me know if that works for you.

- Bryan DC Staff

Ah – that did it much better! Thanks. I am review this and two other templates with my client this afternoon.

designcrumbs

Great, let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

- Bryan DC Staff

Hi, I just installed the theme and none of the theme options tabs work… any idea why? tried installing and installing 5 times.

designcrumbs

Hi there, not too sure why that would be happening. Could you share a link to your site?

Thanks,

- Bryan DC Staff

Default-user

Its in the dashboard… can I send you my login privately?

designcrumbs

Did you install the Options Framework plugin that the theme requires?

If so, please open a thread in my support forum http://support.designcrumbs.com and we’ll help you over there.

Hi there,

I’m thinking of purchasing your outreach theme but I have a few questions for you before i do, i hope this is the right place to leave theme.

Can I colour code different sections of my website with this theme?

Can I allocate different sign up forms to collect different data from different people that will use the website?

Can I get rid of sidebars on blogs?

can i edit fonts without having to touch CSS?

Thanks

Jordon

designcrumbs

I’m not sure what you mean by “allocate different sign up forms” – could you explain that a little better?

The theme has an option to choose your heading font from a handful that I felt look good with the theme.

The other items you ask about would require you to customize the theme via the included child theme.
