It sounds like you server (1and1 by chance?) doesn’t have that option turned on. Get in touch with them and tell them what the error is and they’ll be able to get it fixed.
There’s also a thread concerning this in my support forum. If you have any more issues, I’d appreciate it if you’d open a thread over there.
I’m using Network Solutions. Should I try doing it regular size (40px high)? Different file type?
If it is a hosting problem, exactly what do I need to tell them to fix it? FYI I have the basic Wordpress package with Network Solutions so I don’t have access to my FTP files.
It is an issue with your hosting. Tell them the errors that you received below and that you need “allow_url_fopen = on”
Will we be able to add buddypress to the template?
Technically, you can add BuddyPress to any theme and it would work fine. However, this theme doesn’t have any specific styling for BuddyPress.

You do that yourself. There’s documentation included to help you through installation and setup. The themes you buy here at ThemeForest are just the files, no services (other than support) are included.

I have a question about the links in the social network portion of theme options. I’d like to have our pages (twitter, fb, youtube) open to a new tab. Is there a way to make that possible? I’m only given an option to insert URL. Thanks for your help!

Having trouble creating account with the support site. It says my username is taken but ‘charlottehyland’ my envato username.
Why is the footer showing up the way it is?

Can I change the background image or do I have to use one of the supplied patterns? Also, how do I add an image in the header space? I can’t seem to find where I can upload these images.
You can change the background image if you’re comfortable with code. You should make these changes through a child theme. The download file included a child theme with it, I recommend you install the child theme and make that your active theme. You can learn more about that here.
I assume you mean the slider when you say “the header space.” You need to create slide posts and add featured images to them.

No, I see where I can upload a 80px by 40px logo image. I’m referring to the large black rectangular box behind the logo. It is approximately 979px by 80px.
Ah, gotcha. You’ll need to do that via a child theme. If you open a thread in our support forum we’ll point you in the right direction.

Hi, I will be purchasing your theme very soon ( today maybe). Is it pretty easy to change the theme colors? Something like green or blue.

It depends on which areas you want to change. There are theme options for things like links and buttons. For anything else (such as the header background color) you’ll need to do so through a child theme stylesheet. A starter child theme is included with the download. Hey Jake, Quick question – how difficult would it be for me (with plenty of experience in child themes and some custom theme building) to replace or turn off the built in events functionality and replace it with something like Modern Tribe’s Event Calendar Pro? Got a great non-profit client this would work for, but they need some more advanced event functionality that involves registration, etc.

I purchased this theme and love it so far! The only problem I’m having is the video on the home page will not play. I’ve tried a youtube link and vimeo. Both have error messages.
Is there a plugin I need to install for the video to play?
Are you using ONLY the ID of the video? For instance, if the video URL is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6DJcgm3wNY you only need to input T6DJcgm3wNY.

Also, make sure the video you’re trying to embed is in fact embeddable. Users can opt out of that.

Absolutely! This is such a great theme and I’m so happy with how it’s turning out. One last question and I’ll be completely done w/set-up. How do I invoke the slides on the homepage? I read the set-up instructions and have gone through the theme option and no luck. I’m sure..I’m over thinking it. Thanks so much for your help.
There’s a Slides post type on the right, you need to create your slide posts and set featured images for them.
Would this be in the Homepage set-up tab? If so, it’s not there. I see “Slides” to my left on the Wordpress Dashboard and tried that but it added my slides to my gallery page.
It’s the slides on the left of your dashboard. They work like normal posts. That adds the slides to the home page.

The files that didn’t import are likely because you didn’t have the plugins for them installed (Contact Form 7 and The Events Calendar).

Hello – I have a pre-purchase question. When view the demo on my iPhone, the the theme does not appear to be entirely responsive. I can see that it scales/resizes on my desktop and iPad but it doesn’t seem to be responsive on my phone. Is there another link for the mobile preview or is it non-responsive on mobile devices? Thanks.
Hi there, there’s no alternate link for that. However, the theme is fully responsive, designed to display properly on any device. I’m not sure why you’re not able to see the mobile version on your iPhone. When you view the site on your desktop, re-size the window and you should be able to see the desktop, to tablet, to phone layouts. If you’re unable to see the mobile layout on your desktop, please let me know.
