Woot! Thanks for sending me the email notification about this one Brandon… Feels like I’ve been waiting ages for the Wordpress version of Pacifica. I’ve only glanced at the admin panel for a minute, but so far this looks a lot more intuitive than Atlantica (which is saying something since that theme already rocked). Huge improvements overall, love the documentation file too – can’t wait to dig into this some more – great work!

+8 moreJust to give everyone a heads up – I will be releasing a handful of “Dark” versions of this theme in the next couple of weeks as an added bonus to this product (not a separate product).
As a result, the price very well might be going up to $35 (it’s just $30 right now). All existing buyers will be able to pick up the dark versions as part of future updates, so my advice is that if you like Pacifica, pick it up now and get the $5 discount from what it’ll probably cost in the future. You’ll get the bonus updates in the next couple of weeks for free.

Yay—it’s here! Been waiting for this for a while. I’m anxious to replace my static html site with a wordpress-based site, but I didn’t see anything I liked until I saw Pacifica.
I’m uploading the files now. I foresee a weekend in front of the computer (so what’s new?!)

great theme! i’m currently developing a site with Atlanta and love it. my question about this theme is – have you sorted out the image uploading? i fnd Atlanta a bit tricky you see. with this theme aimed at portfolios- a simpler way to organise work would be appreciated.
Not yet, but I’m working with a plugin develop on a custom solution that should affect all of my themes in the future. I can’t say when it’ll be ready, just know that it’s definitely on my list of things to do. Wordpress in general just doesn’t do image galleries very well, so it’s not specific to this theme. That said, out of hundreds of buyers, there’s only been a handful of bring this up an a potential issue – so until the new add-on is ready for action, we’ll all just have to live with the current image solution

Just purchased your beautiful new theme. The dual image rotation on the intro pages looks really nice and the typography is solid too.
Now I just need to figure out what I want to customize… and you know a theme is good when you are scared to break its perfection. haha.

I actually haven’t checked this – I’m using a standard Wordpress comments script to run all discussion on the theme – so it may be there, it may not. I’ll check on this later this week and if it’s not present, I’ll be sure to include it in the first update.

Great work! I too prefer this over your great Atlantica themes. The sans-serif style just appeals more to me it seems.
I’m loading my images into the gallery and sliders, but my images are square instead of rectangular. Will it break anything if I change the dimensions in skin.css?
Nope – it might take a little trial & error, but as long as you follow the basic guidelines of the Altantica version (it uses squares too), you should be fine. Just keep tinkering with the CSS until you get the desired dimensions

How do I incorporate ad networks like AdSense, Chikita, Adify, etc. into the footer ads? The Settings pane allows me to enter a URL for each of the ad positions, but I’m not sure how to add all the code required for these services.
Btw, I LOVE the idea of using the dummy text as a resume! I don’t know why more designers don’t do that. Not only does it give customers a chance to see how the text looks, but it tells us more about you.
Regarding the third party plugins – do me a favor and send that list over email so I can do a little research for you when I get some spare time this week. In short, I don’t have an answer off-hand because I haven’t tried it myself, but I’ll be glad to offer a little advice if it’ll help you out. The file we’ll be looking at will be the footer.php.
