Could you please elaborate on how this template is “SEO Optimized”? Thank you!

Planetshine

It employs the usage of meta and heading tags among other things, in the way that is recommended by google.

Hi there.

Just looking at the theme on the Kindle Fire. Is it meant to cut off some of the slider image when viewed ‘landscape’? Also, do the drop-downs not work on the Kindle Fire?

Many thanks : )

Planetshine

Sorry, we really have no way of testing it on Kindle Fire. The web browser used with it is not supported by this theme. You can check out the list of supported browser in the product description page.

I love everything about this shopify template, but how can I change the color of the drop down menu because its black and too dark. You can see what I mean www.miasoho.com. Thank you!

Planetshine

Hi, you can start by editing the background-color property for ”.main-menu li:hover > a” (~220 line). The remaining elements for styling will be nearby. Regards, Planetshine

Hi there.

We bought the theme yesterday but we’ve noticed that the cost of an order doesn’t change on the page when more than one item is chosen – ie if the order quantity is 2, then the price on the page should change accordingly. Can you help with this?

Planetshine

Not an error. This is how Shopify cart is supposed to work. Use the “update” button to refresh the price.

Hi Keywakn, I saw this problem too on miasoho.com website. The price does not change when you click + 1 to the quantity.

However when you click on “Update” button below then the system will tabulate a total sum again. I think it can be quite misleading if the customer did not click “Update” and went straight to “Checkout” as the total price will not be accurate!

Hope the theme developer could resolve this asap as I almost wanted to buy this until I tested out miasoho.com which is using this template.

I will repost my answer from below: “Not an error. This is how Shopify cart is supposed to work. Use the “update” button to refresh the price.”

Hi Planet, thanks for the reply. There are many themes from Shopify that when you click on +1, it will automatic change the price according to the quantity.

Is there anyway to improve on this?

Planetshine

You would have to modify the javascript code that handles the cart. I’m sorry, but I wont be able to help you more specifically on this.

Hi all, I noticed this error not sure how many of you actually know this. When you click on +1 quantity to a product, the price does not change and update itself based on the latest quantity order.

The consumer must click on “update” then only the system will acknowledge and tabulate the price.

I tried to +5 quantity and straight away went to check out and true enough, the system only charged me based on 1 product price despite I clicked on +1 5 times.

Is this a bug or something if user +5 quantity to his product and straight away went to “check out” without clicking on “update”? Will the system charge the user 1 price for 5 similar products?

I kinda verify that this can be improve further as I tried the demo version for shopify free theme and I added +5 quantity to the same product and purposely click on “check out” without updating the cart, and true enough, during the billing page, the system automatically sum up the total cost despite the fact that I did not click on “update cart”.

Hope some of you could verify my findings and whether it warrants any further update to the theme.

Thanks.

Did you try checkout as guest here? http://pandora-ruby.myshopify.com/ Or was it on any of the other demo sites (blue, orange, green)?

Default-user

Hi I tried the checkout at your demo version of Pandora. Anyway I tried the link which you posted in this reply. I choose 5 quantity and without pressing on the “update”, I straight away click on check out as guest, the it only recognise as 1 item. Is that suppose to be like this?

Thanks

Planetshine

Once againg, I can’t repeat your error. Doesn’t, the first screen of checkout show this on left-top: http://imgur.com/jqcPruQ ?

Hi. I sent an email to support@planetshine.net but haven’t received a response yet. Some questions I had:

- Even when I deselect the option to show the slider on the homepage, it still shows the styling for the slider and a huge blank space. Basically, it is just the slider without text, a link, or image. How can I remove it completely?

- For some reason, my product images are being cropped in a way that do not show the product. Whether I click on ‘Quick View’ or go to the full product page, it doesn’t let me see the entire product image. For reference, I am on a Mac and am using Google Chrome.

- Am I allowed to remove the Powered by Shopify footer?

Planetshine

Hi, I just replied to your email. Sorry if it took long – we don’t work on weekends.

How can we add the Linkedin in the social media?

Planetshine

The theme does not include a linkedin icon, so you will have to get one for yourself. You can add it by editing layouts/theme.liquid with Templates editor in your Shopify admin. Search for “ ”. If additional styling is needed, you can add that in assets/main-stylesheet.css.liquid

When clicking on a picture of a product – instead of opening a bigger version, it goes to a shopify ‘page not found’. Is this a theme or shopify bug?

Planetshine

Hi, this happened because Shopify changed the proper image names under our feet. I just submitted a fix for this problem, and you will be able to download it within 24 hours.

If you do not wish to wait, you can fix it for yourself – just open templates/product.liquid in your Template editor. Search for “product_img_url: ‘original’”. Replace it with “product_img_url: ‘master’”; Afterwards do the same for snippets/quick-shop-popup.liquid

What’s the pixels by pixels for the slideshow on the front?

Planetshine

Hi, it’s 1920 × 500.

Hi samsam90 / Planetshine, I have the same problem. When clicking on the image in the ‘Quick Shop’ box, instead of a larger image box opening we are directed to an error page saying the following: ‘Oops! Something has gone wrong and the page you were looking for could not be found! Try the home page.’ Any ideas why?

Due to the slightly confusing way the postage is displayed to the customer, ie not on the checkout pages until the very end of the transaction, it would be good to have an ‘Shipping rates calculator’ box as in Spotify’s ‘New Standard’ theme. Is this a feature in Pandora that I have missed?

Planetshine

Hi, unfortunately Pandora does not support this by default at this moment. You can try adding it yourself by following this tutorial. http://wiki.shopify.com/Adding_a_shipping_rates_calculator_to_your_cart_page#Include_your_snippet_in_cart.liquid

I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO…

Planetshine

Sorry, I don’t understand the question.

How can I change fonts? For example lets say if I want to change the font for the footer section.

Planetshine

Hi, You should start by editing the assets/main-stylesheet.css.liquid using your Template Editor. First try adding a general CSS style rule for all the footer – something like “footer { font-family: Source Sans Pro, sans-serif; }”. Afterwards, lookup elements that have been assigned specific fonts (like headings etc) and change those individually.

Hello,

love the theme… I know you are not required to answer this, but it would be greatly appreciated if you did. How do I center my logo, as now it is left aligned? Thanks.

Planetshine

Hi, try adding this to the stylesheet. “header .row:first-child { text-align: center; }”. To get it fully centered, you will have to re-make the whole header, since the logo is currently in the same row as the top menu. (checkout, account etc.)

I have some smart collections setup that show specific product variants. but then the theme shows the smart collection it displays the price as whichever is the cheapest variant.

is there a way for it to show the actual contents of the smart collection (ie the correct variant )

Planetshine

Can you maybe give me a link to where in your site the problem occurs? That way it will be faster for both us to figure this out. If you don’t want to do it publicly, you can write me to support@planetshine.net

Hi there,

We’ve uploaded some product images that aren’t being resized in the product image box on the front end ie the images are bigger than the box which means that parts of the product can’t be seen. Is there any way of remedying this?

Many thanks

Planetshine

The images are display in such a way in order to fill the image box even when the images are not in the correct aspect ratio. Most of the time this is the desired way for our customers. But in cases when the product images are very different form the image box in shape, the some serious cropping takes place.

By far the easiest solution is to resize your images so they fit the image box better. Re-programming the resize javascript will require a lot time.

I hope this helps.
