Do you have any plans to make the side navigation feature work without the entire page refreshing after each tap / click?
Hi @WPWiseOwl,
It isn’t something that’s on our roadmap (though it would definitely be a cool feature for the future).
Thanks, Adaptive Themes
Wow guys, really great job! This is an awesome theme!
I have some questions:
1. Is it compatible with WPML? 2. Is it possbile to include a “retina ready” logo? 3. Is it compatible with Quform? 4. Are you guys planning a Woocomerce template?
Your theme is really special, pretty nice design and functionality.
Greetings from Germany, Berlin
Hi @mentorium,
Thanks!
To answer your queries:
1. Pax is compatible with WPML.
2. There’s a theme option specifically for adding a “retina ready” logo—you just have to upload the image.
3. We haven’t tested Pax with Quform—the form plugins we’ve tested are Gravity Forms and Contact Form 7.
4. We don’t currently have plans for a WooCommerce template, but we’re still forming the roadmap for Pax. I’ll update this thread if that changes.
Thanks again for checking out Pax! Please let me know if there’s any other info I can provide.
Sincerely, Adaptive Themes
Thanx for your fast response! One last question: Is it possible to define the main color by RGB values? You have some predefined colors under “Choose styles”. Is the color fully ajustable/ editable?
Hi @mentorium,
In addition to the predefined skins, we’ve also included a “Custom Skin” creator. You choose the base colors for the skin (in RGB), and the theme automatically sets the elements across the site to match.
I hope that answers your question—please let me know if there’s any other info I can provide.
Sincerely, Adaptive Themes
I like the look of the theme – does it have the capability of assigning different header graphics to each pages?
Hi @katdish,
Thanks for taking a look at Pax! While the header content is customizable, the header is shown site-wide (so you wouldn’t be able to change it on a page by page basis). Please let me know if there’s any other info I can provide.
Thanks, Adaptive Themes
On my Nexus 7 inch tablet in portrait view (full site not mobile) i get horizontal scrolling. if i pinch it to “lock in” then it is fine. It may be because of the bar at the top, normally when you “x” out of those things pages seem to work better.
In portfolio when you click on the header link underneath the photos does not work… link looks broken – for all. http://wpadaptive.com/pax/preview/portfolio/ click on the title Vimeo Portfolio Item links here: http://k/pax/portfolio/vimeo-portfolio-item/I assume that for portfolio we can have a big image with some content (like a description of the image?) but because the links are broken i can’t see what it is supposed to look like.
I am hoping to have images with descriptions and measurements.
Lastly just a suggestion, but for the header content that includes html content would be cool if you had a graphical layout instead of putting just html and shortcodes in a box… but i like the look so far.
Hi @cdn_k3v,
Thanks for bringing the broken portfolio links on the preview site to our attention! They’ve been restored now—it was due to a misconfiguration on the preview site.
The way portfolio items work in Pax is they can be linked to any arbitrary page. That way, you can create exactly the layout you want for any given item (and use different page templates, etc.). The pages we’ve linked to from the items on the preview site are just one possibility.
Regarding the behavior on the Nexus 7 tablet—I’ll see if I can track down and resolve the issue. Thanks!
For the header content composer—thanks for the great feedback. We’re still setting our roadmap for Pax, so it’s good to hear what people are looking for.
Please let me know if there’s any other info I can provide.
Sincerely, Adaptive Themes
Looking to buy this for my own site. On the portfolio I see you have a section that says motion video but it opens up as a picture. Is there a way to have a video open in the lightbox and not a picture?
Hi @larismedia,
Thanks for taking look at the theme! Pax does support lightbox video. If you go to the following page and click the first item “YouTube Portfolio Item”, it’ll open up a YouTube Video in a lightbox popup: http://wpadaptive.com/pax/preview/portfolio/4-column-portfolio/
Please let me know if there’s any more info I can provide.

I’m blind haha. Thanks!
Hi guys. Gorgeous theme! A few questions about it:
1. Is it possible to have portfolio with sidebar (preferably right)? As well as a single portfolio project with sidebar? 2. Could I include more photos/videos as a slider in a portfolio project page? Like showcasing more photos in one project? 3. Any possibility that you would add custom posts (image, gallery, video etc.)? 4. Any possibility of adding pintrest to Share post? 5. Could I add “share” in a portfolio project, just the same as I could in a blog post? (I don’t see it in your demo). 6. Any “related posts”, “related portfolio projects”, Next/Previous post/project? If not, that would be a suggestion for a future update.
Love the look of it. Clean, quite complex but seemingly simple & love your uSlider (looking gorgeous on my iPhone)
Hi @klikkmilly,
Thanks!
To answer your questions:
1. Pax’s portfolios don’t support sidebars.
2. With the way Pax’s portfolio items are structured, they can link to any arbitrary page on the site. That way, when creating your project pages, you can use different page templates, layouts, etc. So, you could absolutely put a uSlider on a project page.
3 & 4. We’re still formulating the roadmap for Pax, but custom post support and Pinterest support are pretty high on the list.
5. You can add “share” functionality to any page with the social sharing shortcode. You can see an example of it here: http://wpadaptive.com/pax/preview/shortcodes/social/
6. Pax doesn’t have those widgets. We really appreciate the feedback—knowing what users want helps us prioritize what we build next.
I hope that answers your questions. Let me know if there’s any other info I can provide.
Sincerely, Adaptive Themes
Love this theme. Quick questions. Do your images come with the demo content or are there copyright issues? Also, on the sample pages like About Us, Service page, FAQ page, etc. —there is the small red droid and a young woman in picture on the far right. Can I replace there images easily (if they’re included with the demo content)? Not a tech person.
Thanks
Hi @dan242,
Thanks so much! Some of the images come with the demo content install, but many do not. If you’d like, the images are typically from stock photo agencies, available for $2-3. All of the images that are added by the demo content can be changed easily via theme options.
Please don’t hesitate if there’s any other info we can provide.
Sincerely, Adaptive Themes
Great theme! How do I eliminate the ”/features/” from the permalink?
Hi @rodvaN,
Thanks so much for choosing Pax—we really appreciate it! We’re providing support for Pax via a dedicated support forum. That way we can provide a place where users can easily search for solutions and see the answers that other people have gotten. If you could sign up there and post the URL of your site along with a description of the issue, we’ll be able to provide any info needed.
Thanks again!

Support Forums | Find your “Item Purchase Code”
Hi, awesome theme
i like a lot your uslider, it´s cool the Integrated contact forms ¡¡ it´s possible to buy the Uslider somewhere, may you sell us ? thanks a lot ¡¡ and great job ¡¡
Hi @Salitreproducciones,
Thanks so much!
The uSlider is a plugin that comes with a purchase of a Pax, so buying Pax would include a license to use it on a site (including a site using a different theme). We’ve included a walkthrough that shows how to install get the plugin working with TwentyTwelve. One thing to remember, though, is that support only covers getting the uSlider plugin working with Pax—we’re unable to provide support for troubleshooting 3rd party themes.
I hope that answers your question. Please let me know if there’s any other information I can provide.

Problem on IPAD home page not rendering.
Take a look at this shot here of my ipad http://i45.tinypic.com/2z89khu.jpg Taken from your demo, it shows what the home page looks like after a few seconds loading. No further data was received and the page never rendered. Tried several times, sometimes it started to load content beneath the slider then went blank like in the image. Using wifi and a good signal, you can clearly see the correct URL in the image. Please check this out, Thank-you
Other pages worked fine, just home page. Checked in smartphone, no problems at all.
Hi @HouseOfStrauss,
Thanks for taking a look at Pax and for the bug report. I haven’t been able to reproduce the behavior on iPads with either iOS 5 or iOS 6. This is what it looks like on our end: http://wpadaptive.com/pax/preview/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/pax-homepage-on-ipad.jpg
The behavior shown on your screenshot looks as though it could be a network issue. Could you provide some more info about your platform (iPad or iPad mini, iPad generation, iOS version, etc.)? It’d help us track down what’s causing the behavior.
Thanks again!
Sincerely, Adaptive Themes
Thanks for looking into this. I have tried this again later today with no change in results, so here are some details.
IPAD Model MC349B (ipad 1) Version 4.3 (8f190) Firmware 07.11.00
Network WIFI TP-Link 300Mbs wireless ADSL2+ modem router.
Hi @HouseofStrauss,
Thanks for the additional info. I’ve reproduced the issue and it appears to only affect devices with iOS 4 (or older). We shipped Pax with iOS 5 and 6 support since iOS 5 is available for free for the iPad 1 (and the marketshare for iOS 4 is very low now). I have added a ticket though, and we’ll look at getting this addressed in an upcoming release.
Thanks again for the bug report and taking the time to provide us with all the info. It really helps us make Pax as compelling a theme as possible.
Best Wishes, Adaptive Themes
Hi! I have a challenge. I love the functionality of Pax – and the design of Dano (http://demo.themerecord.com/dano/).
How much work would it be for me to have Pax look like Dano…? At all possible?
Pax is by far the best responsive solution theme I have tried – and I would love to use it, but for me the design is not quite what I have in mind (though it is not hopelessly far from it (-: )
And, what do you charge for customization?
Hi @kwalby,
Thanks for the kind words! You could probably get it close, but it’d definitely involve quite a bit of Custom CSS. We don’t provide customization services ourselves, but Pax follows WordPress conventions so a web developer with WordPress experience should be able to customize it for you.
I hope that answers your questions. Thanks for checking our Pax!
Sincerely, Adaptive Themes
Hi,
Sharp looking theme! I was wondering if we could customize the hover styles for portfolio images so instead of the background shadow, it dims the image similar to the Jigsaw theme?
Thanks!
Hi @creativewerkz,
Thanks! There isn’t an option to make the change you described, so it’d be something that’s you have to code in CSS.
Please let me know if there’s anything other info I can provide. Thanks for looking at Pax!
Sincerely, Adaptive Themes
Hi,
I’m very interesting to buy this theme, how do i get uslider plugins as well? i’m not able to find the link to buy it?
thanks
Hi @ahmedelkert,
Thanks so much for your interest! The uSlider plugin comes with the Pax theme. When you purchase and download Pax, a copy of uSlider will be inside the file download.
Sincerely, Adaptive Themes
Hi, All is going well except that I can’t figure out how to get the sidebars to appear on the pages. The space for the sidebars appears, however is empty. In the theme options I have checked that the sidebars are active with selections. Is there an additional step required? Thanks, Heather

Are the *.PO *.MO in Dutch language available?
Hi @jeroenberings,
Thanks for your interest! There aren’t Dutch language translations available with Pax currently, but we’ll be sure to link to new translations as our users create them and make them available.
Please let me know if there’s any other information I can provide.
Sincerely, Adaptive Themes
Can i translate myself? Do PO/MO files come with the theme?
Hi @jeroenberings,
You definitely can. We’ve included a default.po file for translation, which can be edited by Poedit to create PO/MO files as needed. It’s located inside the
langfolder of the theme.Sincerely, Adaptive Themes
Very nice theme! You did a great job. Question: is it possible to create ‘links’ / menu-items in the slider?
Hi @dovawar,
Thanks so much! uSlider lets you create content layers on slides, where you can add any HTML and shortcode content you want. So, you could definitely add multiple links to a slide to create a menu.
I hope that answers your question. Please let me know if there are any other questions I can help with.
Sincerely, Adaptive Themes
Very nice theme! I have 1 question before purchasing, is the homepage created by going to ‘Appearance -> Widgets’ or do you create a page and use shortcodes to create the look you want?
Hi @glhawk87,
Thanks for the kind words! To answer your question—the homepage is a regular WordPress page, made with the included shortcodes in a standard content editor. Let me know if there’s any additional info I can provide.
Sincerely, Adaptive Themes
Thank you for getting back to me earlier. That’s great.
Just a follow up thing …
I really love the idea of your Home page option with a right sidebar. I am looking for something like that for easy, quick newsletter sign up, registration, etc. right on the Home page. I don’t of any other themes that have that option and it makes it so easy to get business that way! And also having the ability to sign up in the Slider is great too! To me, the easier it is to get people who visit your site to make contact with you – the better.
Quick question or two about these features:
1) I’m not a strong tech person, so if I load up the demo content is it easy to set up the Slider with the same exact look as the Slider Contact Form (Make Contact) screen in like your demo slider? Or, with the demo content, is the Slider Contact Form screen already set up and I just have to add new images? (Hope that makes sense!)
2) Can I easily change the color from black to say, for example, blue to match the theme color or whatever color I want on the right sidebar widgets that I see on one of your Home page layouts?
Hi @dan242,
Sure thing! To answer your queries:
1. The demo content includes the slider contact form. You just need to install the Contact Form 7 and Configure SMTP plugins (both are free) then click the demo import button. The only configuration you have to do is setup your email info (so you can get messages when people fill out the form).
2. There isn’t a theme option to change specifically the background color of the widgets, so some Custom CSS would be required. We’re currently evaluating the roadmap for Pax, so if a number of users request this option, we’ll add it.
I hope that answers your questions. Please let me know if there’s any other info I can provide.
Thanks, Adaptive Themes
Hi there, I’m getting an error message when uploading this theme. Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
Theme install failed.
Hi @yzminayzmina,
Thanks so much for your purchase! This is actually a common “gotcha” with ThemeForest downloads. The following post on our support forum describes what causes this message and how to prevent it: http://wpadaptive.com/pax/support/forums/topic/missing-style-sheet/#post-93Sincerely, Adaptive Themes
Ahhhhhh I actually unzipped it and was in the process of trying that when my connection crapped out. And then promptly forgot about it! Thanks so much for the speedy response!
Hi
Could you send me the xml file for the demo site, so I can upload on my site and easily change it.
Cheers
