The button on the home page “View Portfolio Section” can be changed to form a link? I can generate contact form on this issue?
You can change the text of the button, and where the link leads, yes.
Hi WPBandit,
Love using this theme!
Just one problem -
The comment section seems to have some formatting issues. By looking at the demo I know how it should look.
Here is what it looks like on my end – http://awesomescreenshot.com/0067bchdc
Note: – I have not modified the theme in any way – I have the latest version of this theme running
Any ideas?
Looks like some language/text issue. If you go to Appearance > Theme Options > Language there should be text in the fields there. Hit save and see if it fixes anything.
If not, please use http://forum.wpbandit.com for further support. Thanks!
That did it. Thanks!
I’m leaning very heavily toward purchasing tonight, just two quick questions: (a) is this theme being updated for responsive layout on mobile devices? (b) any plans to offer the images in this theme like the post format icons at Retina-display quality? Love the theme as-is, but these two things would seal the deal for me in terms of future-proofing my decision.
Hi there!
a) It is not going to be updated to a responsive layout, due to the way it’s coded with grids it would require a complete re-coding of the markup.
b) If you want the infinite-size icon shapes for these, many of them are from http://pictos.cc/. Unfortunately we can not give them at any higher quality.
We have a new responsive theme coming out early next week, you may want to check it out before deciding.
How do I get my pages to appear at the top of the home page like in the live demo? Mine does not seem to do it automatically. Sorry for the simple question, but I do not know code at all!
Hi, you go to Appearance > Menus and add your items there they will show up in header and footer. Here is how to use it: http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Menu_User_Guide
One follow up question: I think I’m likely to buy the theme as-is, unless the new one you have coming out this week grabs me, but this thing is critical: the audio player doesn’t seem to work when I try playing it on iPhone or iPad. Can this be fixed?
Right now there are two fields in the admin panel for an audio file, one for mp3/mp4 and one for ogg. To have support for all browsers, there needs to be one .ogg file given, and one .mp4 file as well for iOS devices. We only have .ogg on the demo page, therefore it doesn’t work on iOS.
The new theme will be out in an hour or so by the way, make sure to check it out.
is there anyway to make the blog 3 columns still with the sidebar in place
really love the look of this theme but im looking for a more masonry/tumblr design
It would require quite a bit of customization from your part to get that to work, as the blog entries are not fluid. You would have to change a lot of grids and width / height values in the css. I would not suggest it, but it’s doable. Unfortunately not a feature in the theme.
"<h2 class="entry-title"><?php bandit::lang('search_noresults_title'__('Absolutely nothing','peak')); ?></h2>"should be"<h2 class="entry-title"><?php bandit::lang('search_noresults_title',__('Absolutely nothing','peak')); ?></h2>"Yep, an update will come out today fixing it. Our mistake.
Thank you for updating, this is a great theme. I think also an update to wordpress might have broken the comments section of the theme? Once you upload an update will you update the change log of this site?
Above comment fixed by resetting language options in theme options
Glad you fixed it!
Hello, love your themes and have used Peak before. Any chance that a future update will make it responsive? That would make it the best theme out there…
Cheers Blair
Not any plans for that at the moment I’m afraid, as it would require pretty much a complete rebuild in div structure. However, we have a new theme coming out early next week that you may want to check out. A little like Peak in some ways (at least the light version), responsive.
Hi, is there anyway to put a photo/”square of identification” on the right side of the blog? Something like this: http://imgur.com/re0Tw
If you use the text widget, you should be able to put in an image in the sidebar there with html.
Hi, And thanks for a great theme. Have a couple of questions.
1. Is it possible to have the front page slider in the top on the blog page?
2. I would like the portfolio view #3 (three thumbnails per row) but no white description field under. Only square thumbnails with three items per row.
3. The front page slider loads unusually slow. It seems like it doesn’t start to show the first photo until all photos are loaded, which makes it unsuitable for more than just a couple of photos. And also when the page is loading, all photos are visible underneath each other, before the entire page is loaded. Then the images “dissapears” and work as they should.
Thanks! Per, www.iampear.com
Hi Per!
We handle all theme support on our support forums, http://forum.wpbandit.com – so please create a thread with your questions there. Thank you!
Hello!. Nice theme guys, i have found a little bug, using the search option: http://demo.wpbandit.com/peak/?s=test (search.php on line 13)
Thanks for reporting – Peak will undergo a big rebuild update to the new framework soon which all of our other themes are on – and this will be fixed in that update.
On the Portfolio page, it is showing this error:
Warning: require() [function.require]: Filename cannot be empty in /home/msswebso/public_html/happywash.ph/wp-content/themes/peak14/template-portfolio.php on line 83
Warning: require() [function.require]: Filename cannot be empty in /home/msswebso/public_html/happywash.ph/wp-content/themes/peak14/template-portfolio.php on line 83
Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ’’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/msswebso/public_html/happywash.ph/wp-content/themes/peak14/template-portfolio.php on line 83
How can I fix this? The portfolio posts are not showing.
Hi there, please use the support forums: http://wpbandit.com/forums – create a topic there and we’ll help you out.
Also the Search function is not working when I updated to the recent version?
I’m almost buying this theme, but I need to know a few things:
1º Can I create a menu with categories at the top?
2º There is an option that I can insert image in the background at blog?
