Looks great…just 1 question.
With so many different portfolio templates how are the featured thumbnails set up? Does the theme have 10+ different image sizes defined? That’s a whole lot of server space after a while.
It dynamically generates each image. There is only one image size defined.
Oh cool. So if you aren’t using the add_image_size( ’’ ) function how are you doing it? Just curious.
thanks!
Using a script I found by Victor Teixeira. It uses built-in WordPress image sizing. Checks if image in size needed exists and if not, creates it.
Awesome! I just found the ticket on WP.org, looks like a nice script. Thanks a lot for sharing!
Awesome and really unique design elements you´ve got there. The slider dots looking really great.
Good luck with sales.
Wow, very nice.
This one is going to sell well.

nice work
ive bought edge and simplicity from your site
Great looking theme, good luck with sales!
Is it easy to make the sidebar larger and the content a bit smaller? And is it possible to add a heading at the Gallery Format Post, such as Standard Format Post?
It depends a bit. It’s really easy to change the sidebar width from 270px to 300px, if that is what you need. All you would need to do for that is to simply change this line in the css: .widget { margin: 0 0 30px 30px; } to .widget { margin: 0 0 30px 0; }. However, if you want more sidebar width than that, it gets harder and requires quite a few changes, as things rely on the 620px width of the content block (if we are talking about the blog).
Adding a standard size heading for gallery format post should be easy with some basic html copy/paste knowledge, but there is no option in the admin panel for it at this time.
Questions and feedback like this is great – as we might add options like that one in a later update. -Alex

Awesome Template mate !
Yes, I meant the blog. The distance between the content block and the sidebar should stay the way it is. The only thing that needs to be changed, is that the sidebar get more width (for example 300px for advertising) and therefore the content block should then be smaller.
I’ve found a cosmetic bug: http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/9726/addacommentwebsitebug.jpgI still think it would also be great, if the data in the comment fields are checked in real time and you will not be redirected to the WordPress error page. And something I still miss, is a contact form.
Bug has been fixed and new version uploaded.
BEAUTIFUL theme!! Would be nice with a contact form section with google maps in one column though…just for those of us who aren’t capable of doing it ourselves
also about the quotes/testimonial post..can that be inserted into pages in some kind of box to highlight customer comments on a specif related product??
Great theme! I am trying to show a page of posts like in your demo. You have a blog menu item which shows all the blog posts.
Any help?
You need to create two pages, ie: Home and Blog. Select Reading in the Settings menu and set Home to the Front page, and Blog to the posts page. More info: http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page
really beautiful with so many features.. good luck
Thanks, cant believe i missed that
Also, using the gallery system, what would be the best method for creating a portfolio which would operate like so:
Having a portfolio for each night. ie. Friday Night, Saturday Night Then having galleries under each portfolio for the date. ie. Friday 13th Friday 20th and so on. Then images in each of those galleries?
I hope im making sense and is this possible?
cheers again for the great theme
Matt
This should be possible.
1. You would first have to create ex. 7 portfolio categories (if you are covering all days of the week), like Sunday Night, Saturday Night etc. Those will appear up top in the portfolio navigation.
2. Then, within those categories you post entries, such as “Friday 13th”, where you submit all your images (to the wordpress-gallery of the post itself, where you can order the images etc) and set a featured image as thumbnail. If a person then clicks on that thumbnail, they will be taken to the slider with your images & description of the evening.
- so yes, it should be possible that way, if I understand it correctly
do i need to create a portfolio first?
Hey great theme! I want to buy it but I am wondering about video support in the portfolio… would it be tough to create video portfolio posts, or is it only set up for photos? Thanks
Hey there, thank you. At this time the portfolio section only support images, however the blog is super easy to add videos to.
We’ll have to discuss a bit wether we will be able to add this video support in an update to the portfolio or not. If we add support, it would probably be for one or two templates that are made specifically for video.
If you were to choose from one or two of the current 12 portfolio template formats (the category templates), which ones would it be?
1. http://demo.wpbandit.com/peak/portfolio/category/07/ 2-per-row
2. http://demo.wpbandit.com/peak/portfolio/category/01/ 1-per-row, large
Or even smaller, 3-per-row?
Ok thanks for the feedback! That would be a great addition to this theme, as it is already very stylish and functional.
I think style 8 would be the best, but 4,5, and 7 would work as well. It would probably be best if it just popped up in a lightbox.
best of luck with the sales!
Video support has now been added, update should come out tonight.
http://demo.wpbandit.com/peak/portfolio/category/video/ click on image for lightbox and click on link for single page, supported for all 12 templates and 3 single templates.Awesome! looks perfect! I’m going to buy the theme before the week is over. thanks for the great updates!
Hi,
I really like your theme and i am quite interested on. But i have one question: In the homepage slider, it’s possible to have a video on the left side and a html text box on the right side with a button to a spcefic page? Like this one for example: http://themes.truethemes.net/Karma/pages/homepage-video-left
Thanks!
Hello! This is not possible at the moment, but we’ll look into adding a second option for the homepage to have a block with video, text and a button instead of the slider. The update should come out sometime this week, together with some other neat things
This has now been added as you requested: http://demo.wpbandit.com/peak/alt-home/. Supports videos and images. (v1.2 update should be out soon)
Hey,
I love this theme. It’s looks great! One question, I don’t get the logo.png file displayed as my logo. Instead it shows the regular WordPress site title and site description. In the manual there isn’t anything on this either. I must be overlooking something, but I hope you can give me some tips!
Thanks!
Hey there! Glad you like the theme, thanks for the purchase and support.
We must’ve forgotten to include that in the documentation, sorry – we will add it as soon as possible.
If you go to your themes folder, then /custom/custom.css and uncomment (remove the /* blabla */ signs) from #logo and #tagline, your logo should work.
We’re working on a simpler way to do logo replacement directly from the admin panel, it should come in a framework update soon, sorry if we caused some confusion!
Thanks for the hints. I think I know what was wrong. In the custom.css file it says:
logo a {
background: url(img/logo.png) no-repeat 0 0; }
By changing the pad redirection the problem is solved:
logo a {
background: url(../img/logo.png) no-repeat 0 0; }
Great! If theres an updated version coming this week I’ll wait for that before buying
We will look into the contact page as well, as you requested. I can’t promise anything, but we will try to squeeze it in this update if possible.
There are quite a few good contact form plugins, therefore we did not include it in the theme from the beginning, such as cforms and contact-form-7.
Cheers mate! I bought gravity forms just now so that seems to be fairly easy
Thanks for the reply!
Looking forward to the updates and getting stuck in to this theme…!
