+1 moreThanks guys for the kind words, much appreciated!
Hi! Can the sidebar width be adjusted or is it fixed to the size seen in the demo?
Thanks!
Hi,
Yes, the sidebar size can be changed in the css. The background of the theme is separate from the actual sidebar, so you could change it to be one big photograph or pattern if you want
Cheers!
Hi, although I am not new at wordpress, I cannot find the css line to change the a:hover of the links on the menu to something other than white. Could you tell me where?
Thank you
Hi,
If you pick a color with the colorpicker under Appearance -> Theme settings -> Design, all those link colors will change to the color you pick
No need for css adjustments.
Check this short tutorial to see what I mean: http://www.redfactory.nl/themes/perpetual/2011/01/28/themesettings/
Hope this helps!
Kevin
Ahhhhhhhh. Worked. Thank you. kevin
Just one other question. Is it possible to get rid of the tagline area so the page headings get moved up to the top of the page? Will need the extra real estate for a ton of product photos.
Example: http://www.suite22.co/sofas/
Thank you
Hi,
Hmm, it could be done, but you’ll have to move the logo to the actual sidebar. Right now the logo and the tagline are in the ‘header’. The style is pretty much in place, so if you have some css/html knowledge it could be done in a few minutes
Hope this helps!
When I send a picture post from Wordpress iPhone app…all I get in the post is URL address! Wondering if there is a fix out there?
I loaded LibXML2 Fix that I used for another template and it seemed to work…unfortunately it does not work for Perpetual!
Thanks for your time!
Hi,
I’m having trouble with the slider. Can you help please: http://thecliffrestaurant.co.uk/
I’m getting this message:
Warning: implode() [function.implode]: Invalid arguments passed in /homepages/18/d383015097/htdocs/app383015112/wp-content/themes/perpetual/widgets/rf_slider_widget.php on line 47
All sorted – please remove my last post – Thank you
Excellent theme!
Hi,
Glad you sorted it
What was going wrong if you don’t mind me asking? Was it something with the theme or was something unclear? Maybe we can improve something?
Cheers
I hadn’t ticket something – my fault. Such a great template.
Could you remove my website link on the previous post please?
Thank you.
getting error page in “Categories for the Blog view” and “Categories for the Portfolio view”
Warning: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given in D:\wamp\www\bassel\wp-content\themes\bassel\backend\customfields.php on line 339 Call StackHi,
Are you still getting this error? If not, please let me know what you did to fix it. I haven’t come across it during testing, and would like to know what is causing it. One other buyer also mentioned it, but worked it out by himself. Any feedback on this is much appreciated!
Cheers!
EDIT : On second thought this seems to be the first time I see this error. We use the same file for our other themes and this error never popped up before. Are you still having this problem?
Hi, I really like this theme. Very clean and content-centric theme. Would like to use it for an interior designer’s website.
I’d like to know if it’s possible to add a gallery within portfolio’s item (project) page and being able to scroll through pics. Like in the Swerve theme:
http://www.redfactory.nl/themes/swerve/2011/04/04/brunettes/Thanks.
Hi!
Thanks, glad you like it
Perpetual has three different post layouts, and two of them have a photo gallery. Check them out here:
http://www.redfactory.nl/themes/perpetual/2011/04/04/postlayout_two/ http://www.redfactory.nl/themes/perpetual/2011/04/04/postlayout_three/Is this what you’er looking for? It’s not the same as the swerve gallery, but these galleries seemed better for interior photos
Let me know if you have any questions!
Cheers!
Thanks for your reply. Yes, those layouts would be ok. But can those layouts be applied to portfollio’s items?
For example, I go to http://www.redfactory.nl/themes/perpetual/portfolio-3-columns/ Then I choose the ‘white couch’ item. Can that item have one of those layouts? That would be better, ‘cause each client’s work come with 4-5 pics.
Basically: Portfolio 3 columns layout -> grid with portfolio’s item -> each portfolio’s item with postlayout2 or postlayout3.
Thanks.
The items under portfolio are posts as well, so yes, it can be done
Every post can have one of the three post layouts. So if you want you could have the portfolio page with 3 columns and mixed post layouts.
Cheers!
Thanks! Much appreciated. Will wait for client’s reply if he likes the theme.
Hello. Nice theme so far! Quick question: How do I make the shortcodes work within a text widget on the homepage? Thanks.
Hi,
What widget are you using? I thought I enabled this already, but if I missed one I would like to fix it
Cheers!
Hi there.
Can you please tell me how to make my blog appear on the home page of this theme?
I do not want to use the gallery or portfolio just use it as a blog.
Im fairly new to this so hoping someone can explain it in understandable terms. I was hoping it would be simple enough for me to do but it doesn’t appear so.
I appreciate any help i get
Hello!
First, thank you so much for such a wonderful theme. You’ve made it easy to customize beautifully!
However, I am stuck on one minor detail. I can’t seem to find where to change the footer color (currently set at #404040 from what I can tell). I’m looking through the stylesheet and can change the #top but can’t seem to change the other. Help, please?
Hi,
The footer is transparent
Just change the body background color at the top of the style.css file and you’re done!
Cheers!
I managed to work out the blog problem i was having above but I can’t seem to change the favicon image or my image logo…i upload it in the right spot but it doesn’t actually appear once its uploaded. Yes, Im pressing save. Any ideas?
Hi,
Does the link to the logo disappear when you save the theme settings? If not, could you try hard-refreshing your website? You could also try emptying your cache. It’s very likely this will solve your problem. If not, please let me know
Cheers!
How do you configure the slider for multiple images? I can post a single frame using featured image but I don’t see any way to load multiple images or control the speed or effect. Am I missing something? A plugin perhaps?
