is Ttis theme support plugin “wp-postratings” to score was seen with a name on the front page demo?
I haven’t used this plugin before, but it looks like it is designed for standard static pages only. However, I can see that it supports a shortcode, so if you want to add this to the description of the slider, the shortcode may be working on the slider, or alternatively you can add a link to the static single page of the item where you can embed the rating functionality.
One more question please, Is it possible to make thumbnails dissapear at full-width slideshow – http://pexetothemes.com/demos/photolux_wp/full-width-slideshow/ ? – now they’re closing a significant part of an image?
By default there isn’t an option, but they can be easily hidden with just one CSS addition (we can provide the instructions on our support site).
Sorry for disturbing again with 2 more questions, but I didn’t find any discussion on following topics:
1) Can images inside a particular gallery (for example http://pexetothemes.com/demos/photolux_wp/#) can be directly linked to a full width slideshow – http://pexetothemes.com/demos/photolux_wp/full-width-slideshow/
2) Is there any way not to crop images inside a full width slideshow?
Thanks a lot for your patience, but as a professional photographer I shoud consider many small but imposrtant things.
1) Yes, there is an option to set a custom link to each item, so you can make the item open a fullscreen slideshow page.
2) If you don’t want the images to be cropped, then maybe you can use the full-height slideshow, which doesn’t crop the image.
In previous message you’ve mentioned that you’re working on responsive version of a theme, when you should know exactly, will it be possible or not. The problem (current situation) is that almost all photo editors are using iPad now to search and browse photographer’s images.
It’s a really missing feature in this so beautiful and well-thought theme.
Thanks for an understanding.
I can’t really say for sure – currently we are working on several projects simultaneously and it’s quite a busy period. If we release such kind of an update, you will see it in the “Updates” section of the theme description.
Three more pre-purchase questions:
1. Is it possible to get off from a small grid on the image's background at a full width slideshow gallery? Now it's completely destroying an image look (IMHO)?
2. Can a widget "Latest Projects" - http://pexetothemes.com/demos/photolux_wp/blog/ - can be directly linked (after a click) to a full width slideshow gallery? Now it's showing only one image, and it's not understandable what's for.
3. Is it a second menu displayed In the footer near social media icons - http://pexetothemes.com/demos/photolux_wp/full-height-page/?
Here are my answers:
1. Yes, there is an option included to disable the overlay pattern.
2. Yes, the click action depends on the click action you set to a portfolio item – so if you make the portfolio item link to another page, its link will be the same in the widget as well.
3. Yes, it is another menu that you can create from the Menus section.
Thank you very much for your time and detailed reply! Completely seduced! Plan to buy a theme in 2 or 3 days.
I hope you will enjoy working with it
Mainly it happened due your kindly support!
Thanks a lot!
This is beautiful!
By any chance do you have a standalone version of this theme ? (out of the context of Wordpress).
I’m pretty sure you’ve been asked this question before, but I can’t find it among the 34 pages of comments
Thank you, I’m glad you like the theme
Currently only a WordPress version is available of the theme and at this point we are not planning to release a standalone HTML version.
I’m close to buy your theme and I was wondering if you can get rid of the thumbnail bar on the bottom of the full width/height slideshow page?
This would be very nice because I plan to use the slideshow as a landing page for my site and I think this thumbbar is distracting.
Thanks and I like the theme a lot!
The thumbnail bar can be very easily hidden with one CSS modification – we have already created a tutorial about how to do this.
Thanks for your answer.
If i do it this way, it will dissapear on every fullscreen page, right?
What if I would like to have the option to decide on which page to display it or not?
I think when I would prefer to have my logo and the navigation bar in one row, I should take la look to your other theme: Expression, right?
If I understand it right, it is basically the same theme with a different layout and another slider gallery. True? Or will I miss something from the Photolux theme?
Thanks a ton.
Regarding the navigation bar CSS – every page has an unique class assigned, so it is easy to hide it on some pages and have it displayed in others.
Regarding Expression theme – I wouldn’t say that it is the same theme, as it contains lots of differences in layout, design, functionality and code, but as a general functionality it is similar to Photolux – so, you can just check both themes demos and select the one you like more as a design and layout.

Wondering if we can link to a page or gallery from an image in a full width or height portfolio?
P.S. By default the fullscreen slideshow doesn’t support links, but it would be easy to set a global link to the whole slideshow if you want to.
How do I add a contact form to the sidebar?
P.S. Please check the “Styled elements and shortcodes” -> “Sidebar contact form” section of the documentation.
Hi, just a quick question. Is this template responsive?
The theme contains some mobile device optimizations, but it is not fully responsive. If you need a completely responsive theme, you can also check our Expression Photography Theme.
Love the theme and have been using it …..though I notice your comment on how responsive this theme is…..I’m having trouble making it go mobile…any chance you will update with a responsive theme…would love to see it look like an app??
The theme has lots of optimizations for mobile devices and although it is not fully responsive, it is working well on mobile devices. If you experience any problems with this, you can open a ticket on our support system here:
as this is where all the Pexeto items support is handled.
Otherwise, we have already started working on a responsive update, but as the theme is not initially designed for a responsive layout, some of its functionality would require recoding from scratch. If we manage to resolve this without recoding it, we will release the update.
I would like to know if this issue provides a password protected page.
You can have a password protected quick gallery – you can see an example here (use “pexeto” as password). You can have this gallery in a sidebar and full-width (no sidebar) layout.
Thank you for your response. I am very interested in this template and then I was looking at the features and could not find an example in your menu. Therefore, the gallery has a protected form can not be changed or can I have prepared a web gallery from Lightroom or Photoshop? The reason why I need a secure page is to insert photos of a wedding to be sent via e-mail
I’m not really sure if I understand your question correctly, but generally the page I provided a link to above is using the default WordPress password protection and the default WordPress gallery (with the [gallery] shortcode) – you can test this functionality with one of the default WordPress themes, it is working in the same way everywhere. The way you do this is just set the page type to be password protected and insert a custom password that is valid for that page only. I hope this is clear enough.
Hello again guys,
One little question please, in demo you showed a testimonial page – http://pexetothemes.com/demos/photolux_wp/testimonials/ – but does there any form for a visitors to leave testimonials (and upload profile picture)?
The testimonials can be added from the admin side only, within the page content editor. However you can use for example the contact form to ask the users to send you their testimonials or use some other plugin with more options just to receive the testimonials and then you can add them in the standard way to your page.
Is it possible to have a sidebar on any of the gallery pages?
P.S. By default the grid gallery supports a full-width layout only.
What a beautiful theme!! I am trying to find a theme that I can use to display art & ornaments from affiliates, and so would need the images to have a link each. Would that be possible? I know I could use them on posts or pages, but I like the gallery layout for more than the blog.
Thanks, I’m glad you like the theme
If you are asking about the main gallery thumbnails – yes, you can add links to them. You can either link the item to its single page which looks like a standard page or set a custom link to link to another page you like. You can see an example here when you click on the “Link to the item page” item.
Thank you for your response. I checked out the link you sent & I can see that I can link to a page. That would work well. Can I do that with all the types of galleries? For example, quick gallery, smaller grid gallery etc? Can I link the images in the slideshows to pages or posts too?
Also, is it possible to add my own background image? Is there a search bar option?
You can set custom links in all the grid galleries (including the small images gallery), but you can’t do this in the quick gallery. The quick gallery is the default WordPress gallery, which is very simple and provides only an image preview option, so if you need advanced click options, you can use the grid gallery which provides various of options. Regarding setting links to slideshows – what exactly do you mean by saying “slideshow”?
Regarding background image – yes, you can upload your own image. And regarding search – you can use the default WordPress Search functionality – you can see an example in the sidebar of the Blog page.
Hi there, pre purchase question.
Is there a way to have the sidebar and header static, so the only thing that scrolls would be the actual bloglist?
By default there isn’t such kind of option included, so if you want to accomplish this, you will have to apply some CSS modifications to the default theme layout.
If purchased, is that something that is easy enough where you guys can help with or it is dreadfully complicated?
I can’t really say for sure – this is a bit unusual layout and I’m not really sure if it will be easy to accomplish. If you have some CSS knowledge, you can just try this with the Firefox extension Firebug on the demo, where you can see the changes right away (by setting position static to the header and sidebar), but generally I think that this modification may cause some complications in the theme layout, especially on the other pages.
